apple silicon has the rather unfortunate issue of breaking compatibility with a lot of things that people like and depend on out there, those people are going back to cheap AMD hackintoshes until apple cuts all x86 support in about 3-5 years time, mainly because of the lack of PCIe card support. and then they'll either go to a windows or linux based workflow because apple will still have done nothing about it. they were selling people external gpus that apple's partners made, on their own online store a few years ago, and now all that stuff is garbage on apple silicon, none of it's supported, absolutely shocking attitude, the pain will be coming for apple when the only people who needed and bought mac pros, have no reason to buy the new one because it's useless for their needs if they can't throw a bunch of crazy nvidia gpus in there and instead have to just use apple's second rate in house gpus.

@@wimblegames That’s an Intel Mac Pro, but windows pcs are nowhere near Apple silicon Macs in performance, efficiency & value for money. Apple silicon destroys any windows pc. Not to mention, Apple silicon Macs are cheap AF & windows pcs are overpriced AF with so many limitations.

​@@DustyKing Apple silicon is ARM. RISC is an entirely different ball game. Aside from the major development cost to refactor everything for non x64, it amuses me to think that modern day Apple silicon is a direct descendent of my humble Acorn ARM-based machine which I got in 1997.
