I went in to see the optometrist this past weekend, and I learned they were familiar with this skit. The doctor's husband loved Brian Regan, as it was, and I managed to get a good laugh out of her when she put the device over my face to check my vision, going "ARE THESE MY GLASSES?"

He is the funniest comic I've ever seen in my life. He just makes me laugh at even a sub-atomic level. The only comic that can crack you up without saying a single word. I consider seeing him, for the first time over 30 years ago, like happening upon a secret beautiful place that no one else knows about but me. I'll think of something he said years later and still find myself laughing. Absolute pure comic genius. P.S. If you can't get enough of his comedy there's a second scoop of laughs from his older brother Dennis.

This never gets old! I saw Brian Regan in the late 80s for the first time and never stopped following him. Classic clean comedy! Ya gotta respect that.

@@iansrife5107 Because I am extremely nearsighted, and when I was in school, my prescription would often change from year to year as my vision got worse. Then in my last year of high school, I started wearing contact lenses; and when you wear contacts, the optometrist wants you to have an eye exam every year to make sure that you are maintaining the lenses properly and keeping them clean so as not to damage your eyes. Sometimes my prescription still changes slightly from one year to the next, too, so before they order me new contacts, they want to test my eyes to make sure of the prescription numbers.☺

I had an exam like that, where the doc said "huh",and i said "what?"(never good when the doc says 'huh',no matter what their discipline is! made me scared,lol). He said "you've got freckles on the back of your eyeball". I said "omg,is that bad?" **He chuckled** "No, I just like to point stuff like that out when i see it"

I stopped wearing glasses 6 years ago. Just out of curiosity I recently went back to the optician where I bought the last pair, and got an exam. Compared to the test I took for the glasses my eyes have improved 43%. Continued increasingly stronger prescriptions are a scam.
