For being such a good player Florian cheated with Transmute Artifact twice in one match and with Triskelion once too. 1. You can only use mana from Mishra's Workshop to cast Artifacts. The additional cost on Transmute Artifact is part of the resolution of Transmute Artifact's effect and in no way an Artifact spell. 2. Florian did not have any open mana when casting the Transmute Artifact at the end of Game 2. The mana from Su-Chi's death is a non-mana triggered ability and therefore has to go on the stack and resolve for the mana to be added to his mana pool, which does not happen until after Transmute Artifact resolves since sacrificing the artifact is part of Transmute's effect and not an additional cost to cast. 3. Even if he had been able to get the Triskelion, he would not have been able to kill Justin, as his first Triskelion would die after removing the first counter to activate it's ability, meaning he could only deal 4 damage. Florian *could* wait until Justin's upkeep but then Justin might be able to respond (such as by Swordsing his own creature).

Hi Arcane, thank you for taking your time to explain the correct plays, but please don’t call players cheaters, because they are not. It is a play error. It’s important to understand the difference. Btw: If a player would wanted to cheat, the live stream would be the absolute worst place to do it 😂

Yes Timmy ur correct about the Transmute Artefakt and Mishras Workshop interaction. =U can't use its mana to pay for the difference.

@@TimmytheSorcerer, the Transmute Artifact is what is putting the artifact onto the battlefield, the artifact is not being cast. To be technical about it.

Exactly and you can only use the workshop to pay for the casting cost of artifacts. 👌

And also you cannot cast an artifact while transmute artifact is on the stack, but he casts a mana vault with transmute in execution.

He can't kill Justin with the Trikes as the triskelion that attacked would die after removing a counter, so he can deal only 4 damage. But he had a huge advantage anyway.

Yey, you're right and I'm also not sure if that is what he wanted to do. Perhaps the opponent just looked at the board state and said, "it's your game". Anyway let's hope for a more thrilling match in round 2 :)

He’s actually slowly seeing some more play, but you’re def right. It’s an interesting card and def worth playing. I’m thinking about swapping him for my 1 or 2 Su-Chi in my tron build.

I'm maybe missing something but why he didn't discard after the Ancestall? He played it in his turn. As mentioned below, there was a misplay with Transmute and Trike at the end.

He had 6 mana open, so he couldn't pay the difference to put Triskelion onto the battlefield. Well, That's what I think that is the right mechanics, or am I wrong🤔😁 Transmute Artifact 2 blue mana Triskelion 6 mana Su-Chi 4 mana Transmute Artifact: Sacrifice an artifact, search your library for an artifact card. If tha mana cost is greater than the sacrificed card, you may X mana difference. If you do, put it onto the battlefield. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard. Then shuffle.

LoA does ruin a lot of games. More Black Vice decks might be needed.

I think some players make decision not to play with a lot of loa answers, bc it’s a one off. Sometimes that works, but yeah not always.. In my last tournament I chose to go with Diamond Valleys over CiaB and it worked great against burn decks, but I also lost 4 games (out of 18) to a T1 LoA. It’s a difficult puzzle 🧩
