PLEASE don't talk to the "manifestation" girl. She's just going to talk in circles and use you for exposure. If he really wants to talk about manifestation he should talk to someone who’s actually Hindu or Buddhist or someone who knows wtf they’re talking about and not just using a spiritual practice closely related to praying and seeking enlightenment to help capitalism and make it something elite and gross and disconnected from their roots.God I hate tiktok sometimes for that, the same shit happened to yoga and meditation, where white people just took it over with zero clue to its significance.

And the thing is all the attributes that the guy is talking about “bouncing pecks” “six pack abs,” are all distinctive to the MALE gaze not the female gaze. All of those attributes perpetuate that men should be “strong” and “tough” which is a direct line to the patriarchy. A lot of men can’t understand why many women like Harry Styles and Timothée Chalamet bc they don’t coincide with the male gaze but the female gaze. It’s about the patriarchal expectation for men to be “strong” and “dominant.” It’s not what most women or even gay or bisexual men want, it’s about the male gaze but not in a sexual way. Just like how women pressure each other to look a certain way, men do that to each other too. Forced conformity. I absolutely don't want an episode about Manifesting. In my opinion, manifesting implies that people who are less fortunate aren't "trying hard enough". Tiktok manifestation by people like this woman in the tiktok commodify a very real spiritual practice which is part of Hinduism and Buddhism. This is the danger of tiktok tbh they take something which is very ancient and has important roots in people’s culture and uses it to help capitalism and dirty the name up till it’s mixed with crystal healing. I’m disappointed he didn’t get someone who actually knows what they’re talking about and actually practices the larger Hindu/ Buddhist practices involved, same thing happened to yoga too😑😑

Agreed, her response annoyed me when she said the more money you have the more you can help people. Oh yeah? Then why didn't you manifest that 20k for someone else? If you're making so much money now then surely someone else could use the Tesla more than you, and you can just manifest more cars? For the manifestation update, in order to manifest what you want into your life (abundance, wealth, love, friendship, etc.) you do actually have to put in the work in order to attract those things into your life. Manifestation is speaking these things into existence as if they’re already yours in order to create the desired outcome. But it isn’t just speak something into existence and then you automatically get it, you actually have to align yourself with your manifestation and put in work and effort. As in you are what you attract.

I know it can be scary to take time off, but if you ever get overwhelmed please take some time off. Even if just for a couple days or a week. We'll still be here!

This whole Trisha thing has so deeply disturbed me as a Jew. I've experienced antisemitism my entire life so I'm used to it, but seeing this Trisha thing blow up has made it hard for me to sleep at night, not because of Trisha, but because of everyone excusing them, forgiving them, or ignoring the antisemitism. It's all over my social media, and it hurts to be reminded that I'm not including in peoples' activism, that the right and left don't care about Jews. People keep saying that Trisha was growing and working on themself and showed progress, but if you watch Frenemies, you'll see that Trisha made extremely antisemitic comments throughout the entire timeline, never did they stop. It was CONSTANT. People just chose to ignore it, because its just Jewish people, right? Who cares about *them*? Some people are calling it out, and I'm so thankful for them, but I also see that over half of them are Jewish themselves. Everyone else is just glossing over it and only focusing on the money thing and the podcast. Idk, just hearing my favourite youtuber even address that Trisha has done antisemitic things made me begin to cry, it makes my fight feel less lonely..so thanks for that Kurtis, I appreciate it being aknowledged very much.

I feel like manifestasions is like a way to motivate you and remind yourself of your goals. Like you sit and repeat your goals to yourself and tell yourself why you want to reach those goals so then you get more motivated to work towards it
