Especially since Kurtis has stated that he’s straight. It’s really problematic to invalidate what people say their own sexuality is.
@worstusernameintheworld98714 жыл бұрын
exactly, and it also goes with the weird personality and gender-based stereotypes everyone else is talking about in the comments. Only the person themselves can determine who they're attracted to and not because of how they dress or act.

@eleftheriak.88894 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Kurtis has said he's straight. And just in general people's sexuality is their business, plus it's not a simple matter, sexuality is a spectrum , for many people it's clear, for many people it's not. really appreciate you apologizing about the fart joke stuff. i really hated that part in your last vid (I don't think "bathroom humor" is funny but your love for it is so pure it's quite disarming). I hoped you'd redeem yourself, and you did. everyone messes up, certainly my past isn't golden. but the most important things are compassion and empathy and you've got those in spades

I was also wondering about that, my country is in no way lgbt-friendly but we were also taught about gender being different from biological sex as in being a social construct based on it. Do they really not teach this in US or do conservatives there just like pretending that they don't? Like, I'd expect it to actually be taught with all the talk of indoctrination in american schools

47:10 the “he can’t be straight” rhetoric also implies that there are other personality traits inherently linked with being gay/bi/pan other than.......who you’re attracted to??? it’s literally reinforcing stereotypes about men who aren’t straight
@imaneclair48364 жыл бұрын
Ugh society sucks The words “feminine” and “masculine” shouldn’t even exist. I never understood what they mean besides representing stereotypes based on gender. People should just be people, and clothes should just be clothes. Men’s and women’s clothes shouldn’t exist, it should just be dresses or pants or shirts. And even if someone doesn’t agree with this, they don’t have to yell about it to other people. Keep your opinions to yourself, they won’t change anything. All you’re doing is spreading hate for no reason. Ok rant over I just needed to say that

This is nothing new, men that dress in an androgynous or 'feminine' fashion isn't anything new. Think Prince, David Bowie, heck even Michael Jackson and they're some of the most desired men to Grace the music industry. This only demonstrates there is nothing more attractive than a man who is comfortable and confident with themselves.
@whatsittoyou69624 жыл бұрын
that last sentence 😤🔥💯
@Fargnarglethethird4 жыл бұрын
Comfortable and confident...and unafraid of people calling them feminine or womanly. There's nothing more unattractive than a dude who is so misogynist that being called feminine or having it even mildly insinuated about them is their achilles' heel and makes them want to bend over backwards to push away anything remotely associated with women and girls. And it's funny because part of doing so is expressing attraction for women - even while disavowing everything women are "supposed" to be (I say "supposed" because femininity as well as masculinity is really just a societally-produced reality rather than a naturally occurring set of traits)

I love the lengthy discussion about men wearing skirts because that's sooo my aesthetic. I also happen to be transgender, and when I came out a lot of people questioned my identity since I still enjoyed "feminine" things like skirts and makeup. I'm a man who likes to express myself a certain way, and I'm so happy that more people with large platforms are talking about stuff like this in a way that's so casual, not sensationalizing or anything like that.
