The jury in the Ronnie Oneal trial has a weighty decision before them. Will they send Oneal to death row or give him life in prison? The same jury convicted Oneal on Monday of killing his 9-year-old daughter, her mother, Kenyatta Barron and attempting to kill his 8-year-old son.
The prosecution started their case by urging the jury to consider the violence and carnage he inflicted on his family. They told the jury that Oneal should pay with his life for the crimes he committed.
The jury also heard from Kenyatta Barron’s family, including her mother, Carrie Lloyd, who said her daughter was a beautiful person and wonderful mother.
"There has been a hole in my life since this happened," said Lloyd.
Testimony resumes Thursday. The jury must be unanimous to hand down a death sentence.

And yet here we are giving him a trial. Not only did we waste tax payers dollars keeping this guy in jail for over a year. Depending where your locked up it can cost $600-800 a week to house a single inmate. Our country literally in debt for murders that should of have already received the death penalty something is going on in our justice system where there most likely profiting off the criminals by housing them in jails before trial. Idk just a failed system is all I see.

It's a shame that when we know for a FACT that this monster did it, he still has a right to a fair trial. I was very confused by that choice of words too. "...His character. And why his life is worth saving." He was convicted of double murder and attempted murder, not "self defense" as he tried to claim or man manslaughter. On top of being a shitty being for killing his gf and his disabled daughter, he attempted to murder his son. Then instead of trying to make amends for his actions, he not only blatantly lies about what he did and why he did it, he also tried to victim blame and intimidate and discredit the surviving witness who is his flesh and blood child. At what point did he display any character worth saving?
