I learned about scambaiting because of you and I sleep better at night knowing people like you do this. Telling you to not share the videos because more scammers will see them than potential victims is like saying you shouldn't warn people about the dangers of kidnapping because more kidnappers will see it than potential victims....its almost is like Transferwise knows their customers are scammers and exposing them hurts their bottom line. If it were a company like PayPal they'd probably want their customers to at least pretend-believe they care about fraud. The argument given you that posting this video might provide a tutorial to scammers shows a complete lack of understanding about security and fraud prevention. Exactly. They take home cold hard cash via commission, namely the 30 GBP for an 8k transfer. That scales very nicely and they don't care if it's legit or not, because when is a scam, the credit card company/bank is going to be the one who has to deal with the issue.

Yep. There’s no secret special method that’s going to net you more victims. In fact I’ve heard from some people that the stupider the scam, the better, because then only truly un-knowing people will fall for it, so you’re not wasting your time scamming people who will figure it out halfway through. Therefore the idea that you’re somehow creating “tutorials” for scammers seems ridiculous to me. Knowledge is power. And your videos have given me more knowledge and proof to help inform the people around me who might be susceptible to these scams. Keep at it Jim!

To be fair, jumping through even a first story window isn't a comfortable or easy thing to do. It's a hole about 3-5 feet off the floor which stands two feet above surrounding terrain. It would be a headfirst dive and a fall of several feet to the ground which would be significantly uncomfortable.

Ah memories! The title caught my eye. I was one of the very first people to use VISA in India, about 4 decades ago - with the bank of Hyderabad. At the time I was travelling round the country and running a bit low on cash, saw an advert for this *new* VISA and thought I'd use my Barclaycard (from London) to get some cash. I went into the big branch in what was then the city of Madras. They had no paperwork or process yet in place for this new-fangled credit card, they'd never done it before. But the manager invited me into his office, rang the Head Office in Hyderabad, got instructions over the phone and wrote out by hand. I got my rupees and was on my way. How things have changed now! That's what "progress" means..

One thing people got used to here in Brazil as well is the old idea that "Videogames damage TVs", and its the kind of stuff that the elderlies are bound to believe, since they don't have much idea of how a computer really works.

It really isn't their fault if gullible people believe "we blacked out your screen because of the radiance" and "I'm sending you a code, what is that code please sir?" TransferWise has some standard checks in place, ID documents, SMS verification. What more do you exactly expect? Bloodsamples?
