Bruh…my jaw is on the floor right now! I visited Memphis in 2018 for a family reunion and experienced EXACTLY what dude said would happen if a tourist ends up in the wrong area leaving Beale St 😂. We were leaving, so I turned on my GPS to get me back to where were were staying (which was somewhere in the suburbs of Germantown). We rode through the hood, and all I remember is passing a corner store where there was atleast 30 ppl outside. As I passed the corner store someone started following me. Literally every lane I got in they were in. Now everyone in Memphis drives a minimum of 80mph, so when I noticed I was being followed I smashed the gas and started switching lanes and they were still tailing me. They finally stopped following me as I was a mile from my exit which was about 28 mins from Downtown. I was in a Black Chevy suburban with NY plates, which makes sense now after watching this video. Definitely was a bit scary lol.

I'm pretty sure they would be respectful as hell and give you those directions if it wasn't for deceptive enemies....I understand why they say don't stop at night, cause at the end of the day, they can't trust their lives in anyone's hands but themselves. Most of them don't act rude, most of them are family first types, and very respectful, and I understand that jf they know you don't belong somewhere and they chew the shot out of you, its probably because they are saving your life keeping you out of the hoods that they know are dangerous.

I’m from Memphis, and I have never had a problem in my city. I’ve traveled to a lot of states, and we don’t have ish on other cities. I’m literally always in different parts of Memphis I’m not very familiar with. It’s just about being aware of your surroundings, that’s common sense!! What’s in this video is not that the only side of Memphis! I know so many people who claim they were ready to leave Memphis, and when they did they wish they had stayed. It’s so easy to point out the negative you see in one video, and generalize a whole city in a bad light. Memphis has so much to offer, but people believe any and everything they see on tv and social media.

A lot of people in these types of areas have leader like qualities but I guess people fail to realize it. I’m definitely gonna get backlash for this but it’s whatevs
