I always loved these episodes where someone with a power shows up and isn't a villain. It was cool to see that not everyone infected by kryptonite goes bad. It seems to make everyone a little crazy but not necessarily violent.

The boy was just another krytonite poisoned freak of the week. His power to heal didn’t run out. He believed he was about to leave with his parents and when he went to save the boy, he was passing up on being saved. Then he entered some sort of depressed catatonic state because he couldn’t handle the loss of his imagined parents and that he might be ordinary.

This actually was a good and cute episode. Clark wanted Cyrus to be from the same planet so he wouldn't feel so alone is so heartbreaking. Clark has so much compassion for others and you can see how much he wanted to help him and be there for him. I would give this episode: 🌹

Yeah, I just think that because of the long seasons, that shows usually did, and still do for some shows, it made the tension between them feel both ridiculous, and aggravating. After the tenth time, that they’ve both been very obvious about their feelings, but a sound, or even if a K monster interrupts, they would be even more horny, after defying death, again. Whitney was never a good guy! 😆

Found this episode kinda relatable back then. Like when you feel so strange and like you don't belong, you almost think you're an alien, or perhaps even convince yourself you are one. I was later diagnosed as autistic (at 35). Which kinda made sense. Even years (now 43) since the diagnosis I'm still struggling with what to even do with that but at least that diagnosis made my parents a lot more apologetic for how I was viewed and treated by them as a child. That's something.

Thank you so much, Michael for pointing out one of the most frustrating things the writers did way too often-Clark doesn’t defend himself and say, “I didn’t tell Chloe”. There are so many times when the writers just blow it off just like this. It makes me crazy. Wouldn’t that be the way the conversation would really go? Wouldn’t Clark want the kid to know he didn’t betray his confidence? UGh-so frustrating. I love Smallville and wish the writers would’ve done a better job with moments like this. Thank you, Michael. This podcast is wonderful for pointing out the good things and discussing the things that make a viewer frustrated! Thank you:). Love the podcast! I love Smallville despite the weaknesses, it is still a fantastic show.

Agreed. That's why 2x09 Dichotirc is one of my favorite episodes of the entire show, because Clark actually stands up for himself at the end with Lana and Chloe, instead of just always taking it, and letting people get upset with him when he's done nothing wrong.

I think Clark was so protective of Cyrus due to what happened in Rosetta. Clark learned a lot about his past and that he was called for a higher purpose. Now he finds someone in need that he feels he needs to protect. Plus I think Clark saw part of himself in Cyrus with not having all the answers.

But it was Chloe who said they should stay friends out of defense mechanism ughhhh☹️. And damn Lana for always coming to the barn after Whitney died. I was always like: Go home Lana, this is none of your business, take you and your horsy home, why did you come all the way here, don’t you have a house? She and Clark bugged me so much. I liked this episode... Even though it wasn't one of the strongest episodes, I'd give this 🌹1/2 (1 1/2 roses)... Clark being intrigued that someone is possibly like him was pretty cool... One of my favorite scenes was Clark and Lex at the Talon and Lex giving Clark props for winning points with Lana... Clark not really making a big deal about it and Lex hitting Clark with the: "I told Lana that she could have Tyson stay at the mansion free of charge, but she turned me down... I guess she was waiting for the right offer"... I never get tired of the big brother/little brother moments between Lex and Clark... I also like how different Chloe's reaction and Lana's reaction when being asked if they found out that someone close to them is an alien... I also like how Cyrus healed Tyson with Clark and Lana witnessing that moment... The next morning, Clark telling his parents that he's not alone anymore and that tugged on my heartstrings a little bit... The only thing about this episode that I wasn't too much of a fan of was when Helen felt entitled when she had the master key and could open every door, but one... Then she confronts Lex and hits him with the: "If we're gonna be together, there can't be any secrets between us", KNOWING that she has secrets of her own especially when it comes to Clark and Martha (rightfully so, but it's still the pot calling the kettle black)... But yea, I didn't think that this was a great episode, but I thought it was solid... #LoveThePodcastFellas #TalkvilleWednesdays #DamnWhosThat

Visitor was always a fun episode in season 2. Especially coming right after Rosetta. With Clark having just discovered his Kryptonian origins and now discovering there may be someone else like him from that planet. Was fun seeing Clark and Cyrus' interactions, that Clark even gave him hope for this world as he told him. That was quite special. Even that Clark encouraged him to save the school bully at the end. Truly shows that he indeed was very much like Clark. Overall, again a really fun folloup episode after Rosetta.😀

This episode was a heater for me. It really didn’t advance the story or show off any of Clark’s powers. My favorite scene was the room reveal. It shows that not only is Lex obsessed with “finding out the truth” but he has developed into a dual persona akin to Clark/Superman in which he is desperately trying to hide from everyone. Sidebar: this podcast is total awesome. Everyone does a super fantastic job every week. Keep up the wonderful work.

Once they revealed that Cyrus wasn't an alien I conclude that he was a meteor freak, infected during the meteor shower. I felt sorry for Cyrus at the end, even for Clark because he was really hoping that Cyrus was from Krypton as well. Lex dark side and his obssesion for Clark was on full display with the reveal of his secret room. I get where Helen was coming from about Lex' room, they were in a serious relationship, I would also find it weird if I was living with my boyfriend and he had a room that was locked and I had no idea what was in that room. It's ok to have your own space but making it a secret place is what suspicious. I love the ending scene where Clark and Lana were talking in the loft, beautiful chemistry, lighting and music. Lana said she would keep an open mind but be a little freaked out about Cyrus being an alien but I think her answer would have been different if Clark asked her "how would you feel if I was an alien" because she knew and loved him and was already suspecting that he might be different since he saved her from the tornado and she also told Clark in 2x05 "if you really like someone you accepted every parts of them". Lana barely knew Cyrus. Great talkville episode guys!

Tom welling was an amazing superman and Michael Rosenbaum was an amazing lex, and to realise that these 2 guys have a podcast now! Awesome heartwarming stuff. Welling captures that innocence of Clark perfectly and Rosenbaum captured all those emotions that lex was portraying without even speaking you could see his mind ticking. I love the commentary on this one! Also I think bringing Bryce in as a 4 person will help to even out the pool so it's not just Tom against Michael or Micheal against Tom and Ryan.

Cyrus was just another meteor infected person as he was in the shower, supposedly very close. He only had the ability to heal but was good at Electrical Engineering.

Love it guys! Another good one. I was there too. Right from the top, I was like "no, this ep is gonna suck" and it just kept getting better. I think at this point the assumption is that the meteor rocks gave him healing powers. It's just the only real answer. I also feel like - with the reveal with what happens with the doc, it makes sense that she's suspicious this whole time. But we got to see Lex's genuine, honest, soft side and that was my favorite moment performance-wise.

First of all I love this podcast. I enjoyed Chloe’s Clock work Orange reference. The actor who played Cyrus did a great job. To me the fact that Helen was not freaked out by Lex’s Clark’s obsession room. Most people would be freaked out and would not have moved into the manor. It is not normal to be obsessed with a 17 year old. As I was watching this episode one thing that stood out was Jonathon hands on Clark’s shoulder. The look that John gave while he put his hand on his shoulder was well done. Martha going behind Jonathan back to see Helen was interesting. Michael did a great horse impression. Lex was being kind of pushy for Helen to move in. The Chloe versus Lana feelings about aliens was interesting. Allison definitely had a lot of great dialogue. The horse healing scene was powerful. I thought that Cyrus healing power was cool. Jonathan had a great line saying Cyrus a lot more like you than we thought. Annette and John had some great moments in this episode. No John Glover in this episode. Clark feeling good about keeping the horse scene was awesome! I loved the ship gave us 2 miracles line. Love y’all

Well Helen saw Clark’s blood and she witnessed Mrs. Clark coming back from the death. So she understands why Lex is interested. She knows he’s onto something and because of the info she has she knows he’s not crazy for checking the Kents.
