The planet is heading for a feverish warming. With each additional degree, the climate is changing dramatically: sea levels are rising, the ice at the North Pole is disappearing and entire species of animals are being wiped out. Of course we need to emit less CO2. But despite 25 years of climate agreements and fine promises, emissions are still increasing. If we don't act harder, we are lost.
Could climate engineering be the emergency solution we need? Can these techniques and ideas cool the planet? And how risky are they?

Why not put direct capture where carbon is emitted like in cities for example, not in the desert in Morocco?

Those balloon guys are the flip side of monkeywrenchers. Monkeywrenching is taking direct action to prevent certain human activities, by covertly disrupting them. The balloon guys are taking direct action to make certain things, by acting covertly. The ethical issues look similar for both. What both groups had better consider is that they themselves may be covertly disrupted.
