I hope this video explains everything you guys were wondering about how I cared for and hid almost two years of new growth before my big chop! 😊
How I learned to deal with new growth on my relaxed hair. How I transitioned my relaxed hair to natural and my process of dealing with a lot of new growth to avoid breakage of my relaxed hair, how I was able to straighten new growth without relaxer on my hair, soften new growth between relaxers and moisturize wash and care for my hair since my last relaxer. This video shows how I managed my new growth on my 4c transitioning hair after being many months post relaxer and everything that went into my wash day on my relaxed hair with so much new growth before my big chop to natural hair.

@marlak4203
@marlak4203 3 жыл бұрын
@@_CYNNY I have a friend who is the same way. Idk if she has gotten better by now. But that's the thing about the washing talk. If you are heavy handed(that is if you know you are) then it makes sense to wash more often than a person who uses a finger tip or less of product. However the same can also be said for a person who may not be heavy handed with the products but use a fingertip or less of it BUT they are using multiple products and/or are putting it in their hair multiple times a week. Daily, or even a few times per week. That can be build up too and that person will need to wash more than once a month also because over time that builds up real good. Instead of the trending talk about NO oil and NO butter stuff they should be telling folks to cut back on it. Or, like I mentioned, if you are going to use it X amount of times a week then you should wash more. That's all. There are variables to this due to how people are and some will keep on using it anyway so its good to be reasonable about it.

@@wverinegir9481 yeah, it's fine, it's called transitioning and you can do it for any amount of period you want maybe 6 months, 1 year, etc and without much breakage depending on how you take care of your hair (i.e gentle detangling, choosing the right products for your hair and both textures, etc), I'll advice you to do more research on transitioning as it allows you to grow natural hair without losing your length(relaxed ends), and its pretty exciting too😄

Hi, for how long did you transition? I'm considering going back to natural hair, was natural for 2 years and some months but I texlaxed in December 2020. Not sure if I can maintain texlaxed hair or what to do next.

@@SeunOkimi thanks for the response. My hair is fine and it's the reason I've been off and on on my natural hair journey. Some styles don't look good on fine hair. I'll give it a try again.
