I had to decide between online and an in-person hybrid schedule. I opted for in-person for a multitude of reasons: 1) the catalog for online classes is scarce, 2) I don’t work well with online classes, and 3) I want as much of a college experience as I can get during a global pandemic. The problem with all of this is that, I will be moving into campus a week after I go through surgery so I’ll be more immunocompromised than usual.

I decided last week to switch all my classes to fully online and stay home for the fall. It was a pretty difficult decision and took a lot of work to get everything set up. Seriously took me like a month of just emailing and talking to advisors. It was way more difficult than it needed to be considering everything. I was really worried it wouldn't work out since I'm a double major and I want to graduate in 4 years so my class schedule is kind of set up in a specific way. Thankfully it worked out and I'm just gonna chill n hope things get better for the spring. (I'm saving so much money it is hella worth it you guys seriously consider this)

I’m going since I have 2 classes in person and I haven’t been working well at home. It completely sucks but living in a dorm in an urban environment will give me lots of advantages compared to an isolated campus. My parents also do not want me commuting back and forth. My school kinda knows what they are doing since they have a really big hospital system integrated into the school. I'm honestly scared just as much as everyone else is. I was able to get a single dorm and convert most of my classes to online, so that sorta helps. All I am certain of is that if we do end up going away this fall, I will be spending about 99.9% of my time in my dorm.

I’m going back regularly. Also, my mom is a teacher and she says that as a teacher, teaching in person is a lot better for both teachers and students. You have to think a about the kid that have bad parents, and how they have to deal with that while being at home. For some people, school is the reason they get breakfast and lunch, and also food for the weekend. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I already have social anxiety ( im in 7th grade ) I like to be alone because that is what makes me happy and comfortable, but my teachers force me to talk and I just go home and cry because its scary for me especially with Emetophobia. I would be fine going back to campus since depression is starting to hit and anxiety levels are though the roof. I feel leaving my home will give me a chance to help me get out of this state. I had straight a's right before Covid hit and I barley passed because I thought that there was no point. I felt worthless. The only good thing during this time is by godbrother and we babysit him every week. He is such an angel and brings me joy. Anyways, thanks for tuning into this little speech

I’m glad my small school decided to go online completely for all courses this fall. It was easier on faculty. It SUCKS as a student but it shows that my college really cares about the wellbeing of its students and residents in our local area. They are allowing students in need (like homeless or international) to go back though with no dining available. They also canceled room and board then reduced tuition by 10% - eh. Some people are taking the semester off. Some people are renting houses surrounding the school. Simple process but I can’t afford the rent lol. And I’m moving in with my older brother as a solution at home. Technically I’m “homeless” so I could petition to go back for my best friend who’s from SA, but no guarantee. I’m grinding and getting this degree either way. Professors grading easier online is a plus 😌

My school didn’t even allow us to opt for single rooms, so I’ll have roommates(imma keep the hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray strapped). So, kinda worried about that. So I go to Fresno State, personally I'll be staying home :(. They're only having some classes in person (like labs) and none of mine were on the list so it would be pointless to go back. I'm pretty sure our housing is only letting enough people back to where everyone can have their own room. As a transfer student I'm really sad that I won't be able to go back but I'm saving like 7k by not living in housing so, gotta look on the bright side i guess lol.

I'm going to go to school in the fall because I don't want to stay home any longer than I have to, already signed up for in a few person-classes that have good teachers, and registered for an activity that requires to be there in person anyway. I know it's not the same as before but I don't have much else going on other than school coming up. I'm definitely going to continue to social distance and wear a mask. Plus, my school is going to give covid testing to students from what I've seen.

I am personally going back to school and here's what my school is doing. They are doing a hybrid of in person and online depending on the amount of students and allowing to have social distancing. If class is in person, the instructor will have a Plexiglas around their desk. Regardless of the class is in-person or online, all finals are online and remote. Know with this part I don't know if its remote in my house or in my dorm so I have to wait and see what happens when the time comes. Depending on the building, there will be certain doors where you can enter and exit so it doesn't become a cluster. Masks are required at all times unless you are in your private room or eating, the school will provide us with 2 masks and if you forget a mask while going to class your professor will give you a disposable mask. If you are living in a residential hall, you get your own private room, either a double room as a single or a designated single room. Limited capacity in our dining hall, only one person per table and instead of a buffet style the workers hand food to you via trays. If the dining hall is near capacity then its take out only. I don't know what they are doing with sports or events just yet.

I feel like my school district is doing pretty good with going back to school. They say that mask are required for everyone and everywhere. Since people on buses can’t social distance mask must stay on. Bigger physical activities and sports can have mask taken off, as long as social distancing is in place. Same with cafeterias. EVERYWHERE you go you have to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before entering or leaving, including buses and every classroom. I have decided to go back for my school’s first nine weeks of school (excluding the first three weeks which are at home required), just to test it out and see if I like it.

Y’all Please give me your opinions: OVERVIEW: - There is 300 students in my High school but they are splitting us in two separate groups. So 150 a day. - 300 other students in grades pk3-8th grade at my school. They are going back full time so they will always be there but our campus is split into three so there will be no crossover with the middle and lower school. So 450 students a day in total in total but 150 in each section. - My sister is in 8th grade at my school she is going back so I will always have a ride to school - friends with everyone on campus so its not like I could be placed in a bad group - I have asthma - Did not leave my house from March 16th-June 1st. In June I went to NC for a weekend but I was at my adult cousins house the whole time with a newborn baby ( I bring up the baby to indicate they were also properly socially distancing) - June 25th I started working an office job, I have my own office and I only ever talk to my bosses from the door frame which is 10+ feet apart and we all wear a mask all day. - I have two best friends that I started hanging out with in July, we only hang at one of my friends house and we go out minimally (Local grocery store to get food or drive thru’s). Both my friends don’t see anyone else besides each other and also socially distanced for months. So far I’ve seen 8 people outside my house, my two best friends, my two bosses, my two adult cousins and their baby, and my best friends dad ) - I live in Maryland, cases are decreasing, mask are the law, we were in lockdown for 10 weeks before entering phase 1 on May 15th - Hybrid Model, so two days of inperson school 3 days of online school. LMK what yall think

I'm a hypochondriac and I work in reslife too, so i'm absolutely terrified about the safety situation. That said though - as a theatre tech and puppetry major, my classes can't happen online. My classes are things like welding, joinery, and puppet construction. So basically, my options are to either go back to campus or to take the semester off. I honestly don't have a ton of choice reslife commitment at all - but I really hope people will abide by the guidelines.

I also hope people keep in mind school isn't going to be the same if you go physically. You won't be able to have a big lunch group, a lot of teachers are gonna be gone, and so much more. Stay safe y'all
