We race our 1000hp VF Commodore against Porsche GT3 Race Cars - SMSP

We take our 1000hp VF Holden Commodore "Clunie" against Porsche GT3 Cup Cars at Sydney Motorsport Park in a Holden vs Porsche battle. We attended a dedicated race car practice session and managed a 1.48.7 lap time in shakedown testing. The session was attended by well known supercar drivers including Garth Tander and Fabian Coulthard.

Slicks and aero and you guys will drop 5-7 seconds off your time. Also need a clean lap to really set a benchmark lap. You were compromised on 3-4 corners with traffic. Well done though, bravo gents.

G'day Pedro, we are hoping for a low 1.40's in the future once we get some more practice and have less traffic. 4 year old semi-slicks are well past there use-by date as well but were fine for testing. 😎

G'day Gary, it is a custom Brian Tooley Racing stage 5 blower cam. Not as choppy as a N/A cam on idle due to LSA and keeping boost in the combustion chamber. Still sounds nice though!

G'day mate, totally. Those Porsche's are simply next level as well as their professional drivers, race teams, fresh slicks and years of experience at that track. We were just glad to get through our second time ever at that track with some more data, shakedown insights and more practice under our belts.

Someone always has a faster car, it doesn't always mean they are having more fun or managing their self improvement any better :)
