The reason I think they didn’t have the horde in the mall like in the game, was because it doesn’t make sense irl in a tv show. Why would fedra not go and clear them out “kinda” thing if there was a known horde in the QZ. Also Riley had been living in the mall so the chances she didn’t see a whole horde of infected in there would be very slim. It makes more sense that there was probably only one or 2 people who snook into the qz that was infected, went into the mall and turned and then surprise.

Also people have to think. Even in sections with Joel. Like how are 2 girls going to realistically survive 20+ infected. Same with Joel, in line the city, 1 50 year old guy will not survive 50+ guys. =/ at all. It's great game play wise, obviously, but yeah.

Lol I know you guys were just trolling during this bit, but the reason they are zombie-like but aren’t typical“zombies” is because zombies as we have come to know are dead, the infected are still alive. You don’t “come back to life” and be a mushroom lol that’s not how that infection works. The fungus needs you to be alive. Also they don’t eat you like a typical zombie would. They just bite you, and then transmit it through the mycelia of the cordyceps in their mouths into your open wound and then the fungus feeds off your living body as it takes controls of you. But yes once the host is dead, then they are dead, no coming back to life, the fungus then just spreads itself all over the ground and wall like we’ve seen.

i liked episode 7. in my opiion, pretty well done development of the Relationship between Riley and Ellie. the actress that acted as Riley was super well chose on my opinion. the emotion that she showed when she notices that she was bitten by the infected was so good on my opinion. all the emotion that she showed on the end of this episode, was so good on my opinion. i also thik that the Captain was a well chose actor and did a pretty good job. i think that it was pretty nice to see your reactions and to hear your thoughts on this episode, Suzy and Steejo

Between the heartwarming cute moments showcasing Ellie and Riley finally being able to act like kids again for once, if only for a little while...... only to rip it all away again for the seventh time in a row (damn you, show), this never ending River of tragedy that follows Ellie is emblematic of not just the shows central theme but why Ellie continues to fight, to carry on. It showcases her and Riley on opposite sides of an ideological, real and tribalistic conflict before they lay down their arms and come together to just be close for a little while because they're each others purpose in this moment; a fascinating parallel to the Bill and Frank love story and why it matters greatly when Ellie continues to lose and lose. And now that she does have someone who looks after her, who she can depend on, who matters to them, she’ll be damned if she loses that kind of meaningful connection again. For Riley’s sake and everyone else who died, Ellie will finish this journey……even if it kills her.

When your infected with cordycepts your not dead,the infected can only operate when biologically alive,that’s probably why you can hear some of them crying in the game because they are conscious of what they are doing they just can’t control themselves,and also Riley wasn’t going to have to shovel shit she would of been supervising other people doing it.

Arcade machines not maintained for 20 years would have tons of leaky bad capacitors, corroded contacts, and other issues that would prevent a lot of them from functioning. The ones that did run would have CRTs that look like garbage with convergence and focus issues. And this building would not have had heating or cooling, so the temperature swings would be extra harsh on electronics over decades, not to mention critters and leaky roofs. I would have liked it more if maybe only a few machines worked, rather than all of them. But I do get that they're making a TV show here and it made for a more dramatic scene with the lights and sounds of the whole arcade lit up. Taking some artistic license doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the show at all.

imo Marleen invited Riley to join the Fireflies so easily, without any initiation was to get a connection to Ellie for the future when they eventually would take her out of FEDRA school, and her whole speech she gave to Riley about being impressed about her sneaking out was just an excuse. People do what you want MUCH more easily if they think they want to do it too.

This was my second favorite episode. The sheer shock to Ellie of never seeing a mall in her life and having it all introduced in just a couple hours by her best friend was amazing. My favorite episode is still episode 3.

Ok from the beginning, I want to say, capitalism is not the only system that uses money. Its just that ideally communism emphasizes on the value of labor. So there is still trading for goods that you desire in a commune you just have to trade with things more real like labor
