It can also speak volumes about someone's attachment style. In some cases, they are damaged individuals who don't know how to cope with grievance and loss. A new relationship is their way of coping with the unpleasant reality in order to numb the pain. There is no quick fix. Oftentimes, we don't want our ex back. We just want the pain to go away. If that person cheated, lied, betrayed, abused, and harmed us in any way. Then it's better to go through months of heartache than doing additional time in hell. It's time to take them off the pedestal and remind ourselves of who they are. How they handle things when shit hits the fan is more important than the good memories.

He was giving me so much pain to force me to let him go. I was in 10 year marriage. It's been 2 years of our separation. Divorce just finalized. During that 2 years I left her alone and co patented. It was crazy but I changed got closer to God and lost overb60lbs. This women told me last year that she was already in relationship with someone and that they know everything. You can just imagine what I dealt with. I never wanted to lost my family as a man. But at that time I realized that God is in control and let her go. Divorce is finalized I have no regrets. Because I did changed for the better. She told me she is in a relationship and dating. I thank God he has released from the emotional baggage. I'm not hurt by it but only pray for her. Damn half of these signs were there thru my relationship or before we were officially together. I was so in love and was so confused. Come to find out friends they wanted to hang out with because they were all of a sudden bored was the one they had eyes on while saying they love me. The stood me up one day and blamed me. I would love to hear your response to this! Ive been confused about my whole breakup situation. I could tell he was getting distant and was almost completely sure he was talking to or interested in someone else. We were together for a year, i asked him straight up if he wanted to break up and if he was interested in someone else and he proceeded to say no and he loved me, wanted to be with me, and i made him happy. The night before the breakup he came over and was extra smiley and happy, which was kind of odd to me, but i really liked it and thought things were going to start looking up. He hugged me, kissed me, told me he loved me, just overall seemed completely fine and content. Next day, he started acting weird and broke up with me. He has been an asshole to me ever since and has refused to actually have a conversation with me or answer any of my questions. He is completely fine and happy and im 99% sure hes talking to other girls and/or one specific girl. I am extremely confused about this whole situation. How can he be like this? and how can he just completely change overnight? i would love some insight

I tried to introduce a pure lifestyle to my husband. We got baptized, went to church every Sunday, deleted social media, changed music choices etc. Although he agreed to it, it eventually made him bitter, sneaky, and we argued way more than usual. He even took it to the point where he would start disrespecting me in ways he’d never had before & still demanding that I submit. I left him on Monday, and ON THAT SAME DAY he immediately created all social media accounts & publicly started flirting with the same women he told me not to worry about in the past. I understand once you leave a person it’s “free game.” But for this to be a marriage and he move on the same day is Wild. I can’t help but feel glad I let him go, but hurt that losing me along with my two children, (prior to our marriage), doesn’t effect him at all. In fact he’s publicly celebrating him being single Immediately which is disrespectful and embarrassing. Now I have to heal my self and my children, while he’s unbothered & enjoying his life free from us.

My ex cheated on me with his ex but he never admitted it and it was because of my stalking that found out about it when we've broken up already. They reconnected when we were still together. I was so mad that couldn't help saying mean things to him when I found out that he was dishonest and disrespected me during the relationship because when we broke up he made me believe like it was all on me and even after finding out about it, he still tried to make me feel bad about myself. He had a lot of reasons not to be with me but he didn't mention about the new but from the past girl. He did not even mention me to the girl and told her that he's been single for a year already. He had chances to tell the truth since we still had a bit of communication after the break up. It was so wrong that I begged and pleaded, if I had known from the start that it was because he reconnected with someone else, I wouldn't. P.S. The girl was an ex from 7 years ago. An ex before the ex before me. Now he thinks that she's the love of his life and it hurts so much.

Not for me. I moved on because I said I would. I left because I said I would. Within a week or 2 I got another woman. Men. You have the pick of the litter. What one woman won't do another one will. It's much harder for women to do this unless they're high value. But your average woman doesn't have a ratio of 10 men to every woman. I tell every woman, I will not sulk over you. Why are you lying to yourself. You know its easier for women to find 10 new men who are willing to replace her ex without her doing anything. While men has to chase or hunt for new women unless he had them in line prior to the breakup.
