I,m a 73 yr old woman. I smoked for over 55 yrs. Had breast cancer at age 60. My youngest sister told me to watch What the health for a few yrs. She has been vegan for yrs. In Dec of 2022 I finally watched it. Jan 1st 2023 I went vegan. I stopped smoking. I've lost 10 lbs so far. I was using cane in Dec 2022, not any more. I bought your book Eat To Live. A little late to start but I feel so much better. Still learning.

The first time my husband (74) and I (64) attempted the Nutritarian lifestyle, we really struggled and settled into a plant based, mostly unprocessed, occasional oil and vegan meats diet. 🙄 Sure, we each have lost 50 lbs over the years, but here I sit still needing to lose about 40 lbs. So, the beginning of March we started paying more attention to Dr. Fuhrman, and even joined his membership. MUCH easier now that we have been away from meat and dairy for 6 years. We are really enjoying it. I’m losing weight and we both feel fantastic! And, the recipes are so delicious! I guess I’m saying all of this for even that one person that may read this. If you are coming straight from the Standard American Diet (SAD diet), don’t give up easily. Your tastebuds will change over time. Give yourself that time. You are worth it! ~ Peace

So refreshing to hear your outlook on health & medicine, Dr Fuhrman. So much sense! LOVE IT!! My wife and I have been plant-based for over 10 years. Feeling better than ever. Other people think we look great. I wish we had been on this diet all our lives! And what you said about most people thinking they will hate their lives if they give up their junk food, that is absolutely true. BUT the secret that I try to tell people is they will soon come to enjoy their plant-based diet EVEN MORE than they ever enjoyed their junk food! We learn to love WHATEVER we eat, but unfortunately, nobody believes that until they experience it for themselves. Thank you for ALL you do!!!

Exactly 20 years ago I had a double vertibral dissection stroke. 19 years ago, I found "Eat to Live" on a table in the teacher's lounge, read it cover to cover, and started a great health journey. I went from 88 kg. (193 lbs.) to 55 kg. (121 lbs.) Truly a G-d send.Dr. Fuhrman, when are you coming to speak in Israel?

Wow, it's been that long, already. I discovered it in 2003 - so 19 years. I moved to very predominantly whole plant foods. Putting it all together now and getting a bit leaner / healthier. I at late at night for a long time and didn't always eat a large salad every day. Been doing it and hopefully have resolved my breathing problems - I had them recently, I'll see if I go through the whole year without them, feel way stronger, running around playing ultimate with tons of energy, gotta keep it up - for the breathing problems if no other reason - and after that to enjoy living and live as best I can. The garden is going crazy, been eating huge salads with lettuce from the garden every day, tomatoes and lots of berries coming - strawberries are here. I love life and I've been given a chance to really enjoy it thanks to Dr. F and a few others like him. I love how he's trying to optimize the diet and has improved over time as more information has become available. Do you remember how he used to cook the kale and the whole onion in his anti-cancer soup and remove them with tongs and blend them after cooking instead of before? I went from 195 to 175 when I first started. I've crept back up, but recently am coming down and just got to 179 - which feels pretty great. Maybe I can do better, hope to stay at least this lean though. Should be able to.

the biggest challenge is eating away from the home. Gbombs on the go in the right proportion is a project we must tackle together, sharing effective strategies that last. Eating under incredible time constraint is a much lesser challenge, but still requires strategic discipline. It is sad to crave foods that are virtually unavailable away from the home kitchen! Anyway...thank you!

Still the smartest guy on nutrition on earth. Dr. Fuhrman, have you heard of Karen Hurd's "bean protocol?" She has a really interesting story. Her focus is mostly on the importance of soluble fiber and the hepato-enteric recirculation physiology for detoxifying and normalizing hormones and the necessity to avoid stimulants of all kinds, esp. sugar, caffeine, alcohol, chemicals, etc?
