“Pre-worn” leading edge is something I’ve never heard of but will bring up in next wedge fitting. Thanks! I have problem of digging too much on a miss.

This was a complete Masterclass in wedge fitting. Superb detail. Ian is a fitting savant. Mikey is someone that could make anyone feel comfortable in the fitting bay. Together they are proving to be the best in the business. Respect. 🙌🙌🙌

Man I am so used to seeing the guys at GoodGood hitting a 58 degree 100+ plus yards, it's a relief to see a good player's distance that's more in my ball park.
@mikeS-ow7lc Жыл бұрын
Just because you can hit a ball as far as you can doesn’t mean you should I think it’s more about knowing exactly what distance your clubs go for different swings rather than trying to hit the ball as far as possible

The driver and wedge fit for Case have been brilliant to watch. I would be good to see updates on his scores now too. Can we follow him?

Love the content. I find I almost don’t want to get fit in my area because you guys are so knowledgeable and thorough. I almost don’t trust anyone in my local 😅

What about shafts? Seems to be ignored in wedge fittings but he’s doing full swings on lower lofted wedges

The last video I called Ian the GOAT and many of you got pissy. This video is exactly why he's the 🐐 - with just one sentence he turned this players partial wedge shot from 💩 to 🔥. How many fitters y'all gone to that spray water on your ball during your swing and can fix your miss in 5 seconds?? 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

I didn’t hear you talk about distance gapping. Was this a special case? Or did you have that conversation off camera? Just wondering about the thought process.

It looks like his lead wrist has a lot of cupping at address. Maybe he could set up with more forward shaft lean to get some of that spin down and create more distance?

Could you do a video outlining how you are fitting for sole design vs. turf? I never know what to look for vs. the ground I play from.

The marginal benefit of a foot closer to the hole is pretty flat outside 10 feet (positive, but flat). The high marginal scoring benefit only occurs within 10 feet from the hole, but even the pros don’t get in that range very often. No reason to be farther from the hole than needed, but the 1 foot closer outside 10 feet is just marginally valuable - compared to being on or off the green it is a very small benefit.

I agree with Case, I do NOT like the look of the Ping wedges, moreover, many of their gear in regards to look and sound. That said, would have liked to see his resulting using Callaway and Mizuno wedges. Not sure what wedge shafts you guys also had him hitting with. Lastly, Case would benefit in watch some of the on line Scott Cowx content in order to address his short game technique.

"Your titleist wedges spin too much but not enough when its raining. Lets put you in these that spin a lot when its raining." Fitting seemed like an ad for cleveland wedges. Mentioned that the rtx was shorter than the vokey which plays a factor in the dispersion but said he would ad the length back on the rtx to gain distance. Seems kinda scuffed up if you ask me. Maybe they tried more wedges than the video shows but there definitely need to be other clubs considered.

This kinda shows you how BS all that talk about micro grooves and wedge shape and depth is lmao. You spritzed his old wedges and he lost spin and launched higher then you spritzed the brand new Vokeys and he went to the same amount of spin and launch as the old ones.

This is why I DO NOT agree with the 75rds reolace a wedge theory. Let's say these wedges after shaft, custom grind and Fitters fees, $3-400/wedge. I dont know about yinz but Cant afford grren fees, range fees, ball costs and $4-1200 on top of that. No to Iam and crew yinz do fabulous work. Just think this was made up by Golf Digest to sell more gear, to then sell more ad space

It's a pass on the cheap elevator music during the fit. Nice idea, poor result.
