Hey optician here! Pro tip(Contact lens fitter) usually even tho you don’t have vision complaints it’s recommended to get an eye exam every two years ESPECIALLY for contacts! try dailies (the ones your throw away after every use) if you have dry eyes! I know there more expensive but buying dailies and a back up pair of glasses is so healthy for your eyes! Make sure your contacts get properly fitted by your eye doctor as-well😊

I know it may seem counterproductive but I’d recommend going to trader joes purely for a “freezer aisle trip” and not with your normal grocery shop. That way if you get too overwhelmed you can just leave, and you don’t have to worry about forcing yourself to continue shopping/ remembering your usual groceries list. Also it’s a plus navigating the area without a trolley!

When I lived alone I would make like 2-3 meals for a week and proportion them so that I can have plenty of options throughout the week and whatever is left I would put in the freezer to pull out for lunches or when I didn’t cook enough food. I also always tried 2 new recipes a week to expand

I hope you're feeling better Keegan! For next time make sure you're drinking lots of water and where you can, be kind to yourself in regards to sleep. Sleep is one of the best remedies for when we're feeling a bit meh so let yourself nap! I also have noisy neighbours, I come home from work at 11pm sometimes and I feel awful so I try to be as quiet as I can but they have NO shame. Keep up the great work!

I wear contacts daily but my glasses were like 3 years old and if I wore them too long I got bad headaches so just be careful! I just got new glasses and it’s so much better I didn’t realize how much they were affecting me

@@KeeganActon i dont think an old prescription will give you a headache unless ur vision is bad enough to get headaches from not wearing glasses. i could be wrong but either way i think it’s worth trying! personally my old glasses still help, i just can’t see as clearly as with my current ones. for reference my prescription is i think -1.5 and -1.75

I would look into going to the eye doctor. You can usually find deals and its not that expensive. Eye insurance usually sucks anyway and you still end up paying out of pocket. Your perscription will probably be low enough that you only need plastic lenses. You should be able to order new glasses for less that $50 online. The cost of comfort and good health is worth it in the long run.

I paid out of pocket for a vision exam once and it honestly wasn’t as expensive as I thought it was going to be and you can probably find a good deal online as far as glasses go.

Girl you're fine to wear your old glasses! In Canada sometimes with insurance you can only get a new prescription every two years, and between getting it and a new pair your eyes 100% change! You're fine.

Girl you are way more patient than me when it comes to noisy neighbors upstairs 😂 the people above me have a kid that runs laps above my kitchen EVERY day multiple times a day so I started banging a broom on the ceiling. I don’t think an eye exam at target is too expensive without insurance, then you can just buy glasses from any of the different websites. Warby Parker is pretty expensive .. i know there are cheaper website options that are less expensive

Pro tip: If you have a white Reputation Eras Tour crewneck, throw it in the dryer for 10 minutes and then take it back out ASAP while it's still hot to keep yourself warm. I do this a lot especially in the Winter to keep myself warm when I'm starting to get sick and it has helped.

Keegan check with your health insurance, they may cover 1 eye exam a year so you can your eyes checked and then you get cheaper prescription glasses online

I’m having the same thing happen to my eyes! I’m 24 and used to only have to wear my glasses in class to see the board. The last couple months they got sooo much worse, also my astigmatism, and I feel like my eyes are 50 years older than me! Got an updated prescription and now I have to wear my glasses daily to do basic stuff 😅 at least I can see things correctly now I guess 😬

hi! optometrist tech here! it shouldn’t be bad to wear a prescription that is too low for you only if it’s too high! it’s better to have something especially if your glasses are fit for your astigmatism but definitely go to an eye doctor once you get vision insurance:)

I would definitely not trust an optometrist tech. They have almost 0 training. I can say this because I come from a family of ophthalmologist. If you want good care, go see an ophthalmologist.

You're probably feeling like you have some vision changes because you are on accutane, which may or may not dry out your eyes and make it more difficult to see clearly. It is best to just go to the eye doctor and maybe later ask your derm about side effects to the eye while on accutane. It might be actual eyeglass rx changes, but it also might not be permanent. Always best to ask your eye doctor!

Vision insurance isn’t all that haha. I pay for vision insurance and just used it for the first time in years. Out of pocket an eye exam would have been $70. Go get an eye exam and then you can get glasses anywhere. I love Quay sunglasses so I decided to get rx glasses through them. 2 for $200. My insurance would have paid $150 towards a pair but they were all hideous and I would have ended up paying something out of pocket anyways for something I didn’t like.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old. I’m 27 currently. My vision is sooo bad . 🤣 i know you shouldn’t wear other people prescription glasses. At least for me, I’ve broken my glasses before to the point I had to wear past prescriptions and I couldn’t see out of those.
