In all fairness to yourself and not to beat yourself up, you couldn’t easily take entrepreneurial and career risks earlier in life when you had not just your own but your daughter’s total well-being to look after as your sole responsibility. But then the time came when you had a business partner and a husband in a man ...which opened up room for brand new possibilities for you for career, home, and life, and a brand new chance to make new choices and decisions together ... also with your daughter now on her own and the world changing like never before. For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the sun.... You’re doing great.

A person told me years ago that if I thought I was making a difference in the huge company I was working for, compare it with sticking my finger in a glass of water, then pull it out. Nothing changed. My eager smart mouth said "I did make a ripple." However, as I got older and wiser, I was killing myself for a company that would have advertised my job a week after I died. Retire on the day you can absolutely do so and don't look back! Love ya Val !!❤❤

Life is too short to waste that’s why my husband and I are retiring in Mexico m. Last chapter of our lives and we want to live stress free and relaxed. We did the hard working yards, raised our children and now it’s our turn to enjoy life.This is our second marriage for both of us ten years now and we are also an interracial couple. You are so right think outside that box and don’t be afraid to do something else be it career or relationships. Move forward you can’t go wrong.

What I am talking away from this video is ‘what are you afraid of?’ I think when we can sincerely answer that and assess our individual situations, use godly wisdom then we can walk away and live! It’s probably going to be challenging in the beginning but everything in life has challenges. I wish you and Ron success in your new business.

Thanks Val, this is my message for me today!. You are the second person that are saying step out on faith if you are not happy on your job. I am ready to retire from the agency I am working for. I am no longer happy here, tired of the messed up personality from certain coworkers, manager not being fair at times. I am so ready to go! I am almost beginning to hate this job. It is time to leave this job.😂 Thank You so much! This is confirmation for me. I will be retiring early not age. But I qualify for early retirement.😊

Live your life, you only get one! I got to where I loved my career, but hated the grind and decided to find a different way. I now work for myself from home. There's always more than one way even when the world of corporate America would have you believe otherwise. Doing this made it possible for me to even homeschool my children (last one just graduated). It works because my oldest is now a Broker, my middle one is about to graduate college & my youngest starts college next week! My husband has also over the years had various businesses & took a hit due to the pandemic, but now is transitioning to owner again. You can do it!👍

Thank You. This is so true what you said. Companies will have you thinking you have to deal with any crap from unprofessional managers and complaining negative coworkers. It begins to be draining and unfulfilled. The stress is constantly and I am not going to let those people and that job kill me. I'm in my mid 50's and I can retire with years I'm not the retirement age but, I can come out on years.☺

I am at the point of wanting to leave corporate and the pandemic has helped me to speed up those desires. However I am not sure what my path to happiness will include in relation to making a living outside of corporate. Did you know you wanted to open a restaurant prior to leaving your job? Or did you step out on faith?
@LivinDivine
@LivinDivine 3 жыл бұрын
I did not know that I wanted to open a restaurant. What I did know is that my previous position dealt with life tragedies on a daily basis, and I wanted a career that let me see the brighter side of life, and also make a profit. I'm happiest when I'm eating, so the logical step for me was a restaurant. A lot of research was put into this business venture, and every franchise of this restaurant, has been extremely successful, so we are going for it. I have no problem with hard work, I just want it to be rewarding at the end of the day. I want to profit from my hard work, and not work 80 hours per week, and my organization wants me to work more, with no additional financial benefits.

My fear is that I'll never be more than a mum and a wife, I have no idea what I even want to do career wise, I've never known so I've just basically moved from job to job because I haven't found my passion yet, my husband has a great career that he loves and is passionate about which is wonderful but I haven't found mine yet, I have a 14 year old daughter and a 2 and half year old daughter and i love them more than life itself but I just don't want to be stuck in this house still not knowing what I want to do with myself when my children are all grown. I want more for myself I just don't know what more is.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I totally understand, as I was the same way. I started looking at things I liked to do, or that made me happy, and searched how to make money from those things.
