It shouldn't hurt that much unless you are using the hard ones. Make sure you do it gently and don't tenderise your muscles like you do meat for cooking haha

@@blueshoes5145 if you do intense sport, it’ll be painful no matter how soft you go about it. It’s cause of how sore your muscles get after training each day. But the relief that comes is totally worth it

all jokes aside..healing your body and taking the posture opposite of the depressed (rounded in, tight). best of luck..do look at the Anatomy trains videos. Tom Myers talks about the posture and fascia as part of our emotional body.

I'm new to foam rolling (I have heel/tarsal tunnel issues that I believe are coming from tight calves). This was a good overview and provided key information like breaking the area into two parts, moving side to side when you get over a particularly sore area etc. Thanks!

Seeing a lot of comments saying there is no scientific research to prove this. I do bmx a couple times a week and always had minor to medium pains around my body after. Been trying this for 3 days so far. Could be placebo but the pains are gone after. I’m not saying it’s a miracle device. It just feels like I had a great massage after. Puts me right to bed lol. It’s pretty cheap, worth a shot imo.

You don't have to immediately buy one if you're not sure if its for you... I DIYed it and glued a few layers of an old ecercise mat on an old rolling pin (these wooden baking thingies). PVC pipes also work fine.

LOVED the price for all that it is, was looking for a kzbin.infoUgkx1N3gatJfHIxCsI2TbcOH1-k8v-EDJ40N bench specifically with Roman chair capabilities. It was easy to assemble, light enough to move around easily, but sturdy and stable too. We put gym floor pads under it in the garage for added stability but doesn't really need it. Easy to adjust. The dumbell storage underneath isn't super useful and they tend to slide off sideways, but not a necessary feature for us. Thanks for not price gouging when everyone else is on exercise equipment during quarantine times!

Great Demo video. Question: How do I chose the right yoga roller for my body. There are So many different variants, some are even all across, other have different patterns of relief. Which ones is best for the body and which one may hurt the most? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows. 😃🙏
@davidthomson8010 Жыл бұрын
Hope I'm not too late, The harder and spikier the foam roller, the more it will dig into the muscle. If you're just starting out, find a soft foam roller and try it. If it doesn't cause any pain then move on to something denser. Eventually, all rollers will feel too soft and while they will continue providing benefits, you can move on to rolling with a 1-inch diameter metal pole. (place across two objects so it's above the ground enough for whatever you're rolling to not touch the ground.)

@alirazak11854 жыл бұрын
yes after trainings with strecthing is reccomended. before training and games is also good. you can foam roll right before training and games and it will improve your performance. dynamic stretches not static stretching though before workouts. static and foam rolling after

Edwin Shek Well for me I’m a chef and on my feet constantly. Also I build privacy fences as a side hustle. Rolling keeps me moving for longer and keeps me from injuring myself. After a long day I hit the roller for 20 minutes or so and it makes me feel like a big ol’ bowl of jelly. It’s so simple yet so amazing. It’s like giving yourself a deep tissue massage. And yes I do it first thing in the morning and immediately after I get out of a hot shower.

That's my.milliondollar idea .."makes protos" ah fuck this hurts, here let's try another muscle .. as fuck that hurt ok how about this one .... and so on .... non of this feels great but I'm just going to keep doing it over and over
@zoncolan73286 жыл бұрын
For instance: A) try rolling on one leg and remember the feeling. B) Try rolling on the other leg. Do you notice any difference between A and B? It takes time, at least 2-3 days to recover from foam rolling and notice any improvement. I can assure you that after 3-4 sessions it'll become a more enjoyable activity. Once it is part of your routine, you'll still feel pain at the trigger points but it will go away after 15-30'' of pressure. And then you''ll start loving it, in a sadomasochism way.
