I’m down 30 pounds, off a few medications that I never thought possible ❤️I eat similar…I did have salmon, veggies and a slice of decadent chocolate cake…but my usual is 2 meals per day intermittent fasting naturally and I listen to my body…no processed food no sugar and low carb most the time. Kimberly I talk about you all the time and I APPRECIATE YOU❤️🙏❤️also yes I have 2 Annalemas to structure my water. They have a garden model now too!

Great video. You inspired me to begin strength training six months ago. I show up and do the work with a trainer to get my form correct and prevent injuries. I don’t love it. I already know the food part and of course, life happens so my food is not as dialed in as I would like so it’s useful to be reminded this morning. Thanks for what you do ❤

Hey Kimberly, enjoyed the video so much!! I have been on a carnivore diet for going on 18 months. I have lost 40 pounds and was able to get off 2 blood pressure meds I have been on for 30 years. I walk, weight lift, and have never felt better at 54. I'm saying all this because it's basically what you have gone to. I have messed with a couple of things but the jest is high protein, no carbs, no sugar. I will still eat some fresh berries, kale, you know the drill. I also added bison and deer meat. Cook them the same as hamburger and ribeye.

Don't you need the greens an isn't it a lot of saturated fat?
@wandalowe5578
@wandalowe5578 3 ай бұрын
@@janekraft1359I do eat some kale, I think everyone has to cater their diet to fit their own way. As far as saturated fats, they are the most durable, resilient fats out there. They reduce inflammation, help balance hormones, help cells to repair, heal, and grow. You still have to be smart about it. Use beef tallow, pork lard. No seed oils, No French fries floating in crisco. I could go on, and on, but Im not here to preach. To tell what has worked for me.

@sosoutherncustomequestrian4 Umm...maybe, but maybe not Depends on who you follow and who they follow😊 It's all hypothetical - studies are not there...even the most well-informed scientist does not know what exactly breaks a fast, as well as when exactly autophagy begins in a fast. Many, many differing hypotheses (& biases) out there - on the subject of fasting. 🤔

I tbsp of the nut pod creamer has 10 calories (most say less than 15 is ok) 0g sugar, 0g carbs, 1g fat and 0g sugar. This is probably not significant enough to break a fast.

Hi Kimberly, good to see this video because finally someone has addressed the elephant in the room of low-carb eating is the stomach issues and I never traced to the electrolytes. I have one packet every day. I’m getting around it by having digestive enzymes after every meal which is really only two meals I have the same issue that you have once I have my big meal at noon struggle to eat something in the evening, but I do my best will try your electrolytes but really LMNT is really nice. I just sip it slowly, after trying the enzymes the runs have turned for the better. Lol

@barbarafairbanks4578
@barbarafairbanks4578 23 күн бұрын
@pamtewes5276 Well...Kimberly does lift weights - lifts 'heavy' from what I understand. Lifting 'heavy' does stress bone - which stimulates the body's natural bone remodeling process (activity of osteoclasts & osteoblasts). I know you were asking about her calcium intake? So, there IS calcium in the chicken broth she consumes. Idk why you've mentioned antioxidants for bone health? I'm not familiar with antioxidants as a factor for bone health?🤷‍♀️

Kimberly, you have to try RAO brand soups. They come in a glass jar and are second best to homemade soup 🍲. They are so flavorful and tasty and delicious. The wedding soup is awesome and amazing. Chicken noodle 🍜, and other great options. Walmart, Target and other supermarkets carry it Not overly salty either. Definitely worth a try. If you have a friend or neighbor or relative under the weather or not feeling well, surprise them with a heartfelt bowl 🍜 of tasty soup. Yummmm 😋. Thanks for the tips and tricks for eating better and smarter. Lately I've been on the marinated artichoke bandwagon and have been buying them in the small or larger jar, and have noticed they are in safflower oil. They used to be in olive oil. So, now I'm on the hunt for healthier versions. I love my salads too. I just love the ability to change up the veggies i put in it. So healthy and delicious for us. Thanks for the reminder. 🌞🌹

Please do your research with health minded professionals, (like a Functional Medicine Dr.) before you get conned into going on those pharmaceuticals for osteoporosis. It's a SCAM! Too long to go into here! Just make sure you also go on Vit-K-2 (not the same as Vit-K) it helps to maintain bone mass, & it also keeps the calcium that we eat from getting logged in our arteries, and gets it going where it needs to go, our bones. Getting our Vit-D levels checked, and optimized at the High End of the levels is Very important, as it's actually a hormone, not a "vitamin" per day, and is extremely important for our immune system, cancer protection, and bone health. Also magnesium, most people are deficient in it, and it's Critical for a plethora of Bodily systems to function properly. Take care! 🤗

Wondering how many grams of protein you eat a day. Do you get your protein through your steak and aminos only? How often do you eat bacon? Do you eat eggs? Fiber? Sorry for all the questions. Your video was informative but left me wondering

@JanetRajek Yah, me too. I hardly think this counts as a 'what I eat in a day' video. (Sorry but the Amino's - which is not a whole protein, btw - did seem like an unnecessary sales pitch & a word in for Connie) 😒 JMO 🙄

Just curious, but do the Stevia drops cause an insulin spike? I really thought we had to drink plain water or coffee during fasting time. I have my coffee in the a.m. with a splash of nut pods as you do, when I do my first meal I will have my 2nd cut of coffee with my collagen powder and a little Sweet Leag Monk Fruit drops. But I have to be honest I have been letting that snacking occur too often. Thanks for the reminder!!!! Today’s a new day😊. No more snacking Ritz‼️

Oh man...I tried those Perfect Aminos. I only took 5 twice a day and they plugged me up so badly after only 3 days, I still haven't recovered. 😔 And I eat a lot of fiber! I am even taking the Ion stuff. I don't know what that is about, but I do like that Coco Whip stuff on top of the Crust less Pumpkin Pie I make once in a while. 😊

I’ve heard that you might can try taking Perfect Aminos 2/day (twice a day) for 3-4 days and then in one extra each time for another 3-4 days, etc. to work up to the amount you’re wanting to take. Maybe that’s a way to help your body build up tolerance.

I was following Dr. Ken Berry wanting to believe carnivore was the way to go. I enjoyed eating meat and not experiencing hunger and cravings. Then my kidney labs indicated development of chronic kidney disease. My cardiologist didn't like what she was hearing as she listened to my carotid and femoral arteries. An ultrasound scan showed new 50% carotid placque buildup and 10% in my femoral arteries. So much for carnivore! I'm trying to reverse this by advised whole food plant based diet. Only ultra sound scans can really tell what is happening inside our bodies so keep in touch with a trusted doctor. I felt great on a carnivore diet but my vascular system and kidneys were suffering.

@@juliepomp5843 Hmmm...from what I (think) I know about ASCVD, & a diet that can adversely affect arteries - this is a long, drawn out process (decades) and does not happen overnight. It is likely, imo, you may have had some Kidney dysfunction going on prior to Carnivore (with its higher protein content) - and the higher protein worsened your (perhaps undetected) slight kidney dysfunction. -? (Studies show, though, that healthy kidneys are not adversely affected by a high protein diet.) Also, sounds like you may have already been at risk of arterial 'issues'. And your Carnivore diet (especially since Dr. Barry recommends high FATTY meat with Carnivore)...that this WOE may have quickly made the condition worse, for you. GREAT (!) 🎉 - that you have the astute, imo, HCP you do AND that you even GO to the doctor. You did good! 👍 😅 Thanks for posting your experience. This does 'go to show' that not everyone can withstand extremes in their diet. Carnivore, keto, strict PB, Vegan...all of these are extremes - and should not be tried lightly, IMO. (Especially for the more mature demographic). P.S. - have heard several health scientists in this space mention studies showing that Pomegranate juice can help clear up plaque in carotid arteries (especially). Go to NIH database to learn about these studies Also, I believe that examine.com would also have the abstracts on these studies - just key in pomegranate juice & carotid artery - hopefully you'll have free access to the study(s) abstracts.
