I try to do a down day & an up day once every week. I think it helps me to prevent my body from getting in a routine - both physically and mentally. It's freeing to have options!

I gained 65 lbs in my 20s due to stress eating from losing a parent when I was 18. I tried diets and I tried accepting myself as I was while continuing to feel out of control. Then, 20 years passed and I was a 41 year old mom with plantar faciitis, bad knees, and felt like a failure because I couldn't quit dessert, give up carbs or work out profusely for 3 hours non-stop. Then, while feeling depressed and crying while inhaling a massive bag of Easter sour jelly beans, I stumbled upon your IF and OMAD videos. My life is CHANGED because of finding your videos 😭 I too now use Zero, I completely quit putting milk and sweetness in my coffees/teas, and all this week, I completed my first down day, up day, and my first 36 hour fast of my entire life. It was SO HEALING. Already, I feel my plantar faciitis somehow miraculously healing (no doubt due to the autophagy), I have suffered from chronic migranes for years and they seem to have disappeared, my sleep is better, and my depression seems to also have disappeared. The weight loss I have been failing to achieve is finally happening and I have fallen completely in love with this life. I thank you from the bottom of my east coast Canadian heart for this content!!!

Hi. I found you from your Aldi Addict channel and I am so glad I did. As a child/teen I never wanted breakfast, but all the hype about it being the most important meal of the day had me forcing a morning meal. After watching your videos I ordered Fast,Feast, Repeat and jumped into IF for real. I’m still a newbie but constantly hitting 18:6 windows. Yesterday I was out shopping and ended up with an OMAD day. So true how IF is flexible. I’m a tea drinker and you have this Texan swapping her sweet tea for unsweetened! #cleanfastcrew Thank you for all you do 🙂

Hey, thought you should know, if you are drinking decaf on the regular you REALLY need to look for "Swiss processed" or water processed decaf, that's the method where they steam then soak the beans in hot water to remove the caffeine. The other methods uses a lot of harsh chemicals like acetate to leach it out. then they rinse the beans before roasting. It'll say on the package if it was water processed or not. A close second is the carbon dioxide method, again the method should be on the package, if it's not assume it's a chemical method.

I'd never heard of pepitas but they looked so much like pumpkin seeds, I looked them up, they are pumpkin seeds! another one we have a different name for here in the UK - along with Aubergines (eggplant) Courgette (zucchini) and Coriander (cilantro) - I've only recently found your channel and have started reading the Gin Stephens book you recommended - my favourite way to have pepitas is with full fat Greek yoghurt, some chia seeds, a few raspberries & brazil nuts, and sometimes a couple of squares of 90% dark chocolate - I am 4 days into my fasting way of life :-) thank you so much for your informative content

Mary Tsang, I don't know if it will help you or not, but Dy Ann Parham has a saying, "Hungry is where the magic happens." When I get hunger pangs at night, I say that to myself. It helps me stay focused on my goal. Those slight feelings of hunger are telling me that my body is about to switch over to fat burning mode.

I agree with Hannah... When you're feeling hunger, that's often your body switching over to burning its own fat for fuel, it's trying to get you to eat because it needs energy, lol, And so if you work through that feeling, with maybe a dash of salt on your tongue, your body will give up and switch to its fat stores! And the hunger will probably go away. But-- Are you saying that you've had your one meal in the middle of the day, and then at 9:00 you experience hunger after you've started your next fast? Maybe try changing your window time... I typically eat one meal a day in the evening, anywhere from 5:00 to 8:00. Then I'm done. Because I'm practicing the clean fast technique, I don't experience any hunger the entire time that I'm fasting. Best of luck!!👍

It is probably the artificial sweeteners. I can't drink them, because they make me sick. Many people stay away from them at all costs because of the risks associated with some of them (cancer, dizziness, headaches...), so people might tell her she shouldn't be drinking them. But a decision like that has to be up to the individual. If she is comfortable with them, that is 100% her decision to make. No one should judge her for that. 😊
