Kristi, I'm very proud of you for making through the day with zero net carbs. I agree with you, having followed a strict carnivore diet in the past, that it's very difficult to sustain long-term (at least for me). What I do now, a clean-ish ketovore diet, is much easier to stick to. My diet is still primarily beef, eggs, bacon, salt, and water. But just being able to add in some different fats and low-carb sauces, along with the occasional nut butter or other keto "treat," helps a lot, in my experience.

I love the idea of the may challenge, with Every day being something different. I think a couple of the days should be *zero net carb* days!

Good question. I make crispy chips from them. Spread a THIN layer of butter on it, sprinkle with salt, cut into triangles with a pizza cutter, and micro just until they begin to change color. On my microwave, that's about 2 min, 20 seconds. I've never been a fan of "wheat," which is why I tend to stay away from it anyway, but I'll be interested to see what Kristi thinks of your question. I bake my chicken skins in the toaster oven on non stick foil, with a spritz of EVOO and a sprinkle of garlic salt, at 375°... not deep fried, no soy, which I am sensitive to, and they are DELISH!😃

Oh my. The mahi mahi and shrimp dinner looks delicious! I don’t know why I get an aversion to the thought of fish for dinner. But pairing it with the shrimp makes it so appealing! Have you ever tried a GOOD chiropractor? I have an excellent one that has never failed our family on any pain or ailment. . And my husband is a plumber that gets hurt a lot. She fixed my stomach issues with adjustments as well as my neck pain and numb hands.

Like the color on your nails! I don't know if it's the same but I remember as a kid eating just the chicken skin. I'm going to have to go to tjmaxx and find salt w/peppers. I like spicy too. I usually use the cayenne pepper.

I know you hate chiropractors, but truly, I would try that for a while. i work for one and they help with SOO many things. We keep people off meds and either put off/ or postpone surgeries, injections, etc. I believe if you found the right one, with a few weeks adjustments and maybe some home excercises, you could feel so much better! Whether you do or not, good luck and hope it all works out for you!

Well if she hates chiropractors then go ahead and let her suffer. Because chemicals and surgery are far better than just realigning your skeletal structure. I had so much pain in my twenties I was in a car wreck and one side of my body just hurt constantly; I went to a chiropractor and I've been going to a chiropractor to be adjusted for the last 40 years. Do you have a handheld/neck massager that has ** infa-red** technology? ( Glows red) Apparently the warm red light encourages muscle healing..was a HUGE relief for me.. and I could use it at will at home. Physical Therapist used it too.

Have you considered getting a Soda Stream? Since I got one, I have been able to drastically increase my water intake. You can add lemon or lime for extra flavor. It makes a seltzer /club soda water that is bubbly. PS. Love your videos!

I think this is a great idea for a video. I've heard a lot of people do not like those flock skins at first. They sound like they'd be so delicious. Well obviously now I'd suggest a 0 carb day as a challenge. Another suggestion is maybe staying under 20 Total Carbs instead of Net Carbs. Good on you for your water. Be Proud! 😁

How about a Keto Chow challenge for the day. (or whatever protein powder/drink) I have never tried carnavore but I would if it were just for one day. A no dairy challenge for the day would be interesting. No processed food for a day. Clean keto for a day. Water challenge. I can do anything for a day! I've often said, I can easily make a Snickers bar "Keto" by some people's definition by mixing in enough oat fiber, psyllium husk, etc. I’m not a fan of making my body do the net carb math trick. My Keto diet is 20 total carbs per day. No math involved with great results.

The Nola Peanut butter sounds awesome, like a Butterfinger or payday. Already ordered 2 boxes. I'll definitely eat those chicken skins, there's another that I really like too, I make nachos with them and they're awesome. Flock has a salt/vinegar flavor, OMG hold me back.

I take 7 units of long lasting insulin a day, no matter what. Without it I would die. Rapid acting insulin depends on my carb intake. Normally I only need 1- 5 total units a day.

I can’t take anything other than Tylenol myself. My stomach is so messed up that everything else messes with me. Have you tried Thermacare patches to help with the pain? They work great for me. Great video!

Weird- I haven't tried them, but for some reason I thought the Flock chips were fried in some kind of meat fat, or I thought I heard someone say such- who knows, not important. We have another brand in the pantry right now, can't think of the brand, but I don't care for them either. Nowhere near as light & crispy good as the chicken skin we eat off a roast chicken at home. Plus, they're super hard- almost too crunchy for me.
