I lived in Nepal rice and vegetables was the regular delicious breakfast and evening meal. Two meals a day. I felt so healthy. I now in Ireland love my bowl of vegan oil free vegetables soup in the morning! Yummy. Thank you Emmie! Happily feeding my self delicious food! 🌻💕🌼💐🌼💕🌻

I eat vegetables virtually every morning. Salad with Esselstyne dressing. Potatoes with salsa and cilantro, or nutritional yeast. My breakfasts are huge and I love them. People are annoyed that I’m older yet fit. I. Don’t. Care.

I thought eating veggies in the morning sounded horrible, but one night I cut some broccoli and didn't get around to eating it. I decided to try it for breakfast and I am HOOKED! I couldn't believe how great I felt, and didn't get hungry at all until lunch time. Now my broccoli for breakfast is my happy ME TIME! Thank you for suggesting it!!!!

This is the first week on your program for me and I thought that eating vegetables in the morning would be really difficult but I found some flavored balsamic vinegars to drizzle over the veggies and it’s a total game changer!!!! I actually like eating them now first thing 😊💕

the movement is key! sometimes i go to the bathroom upstairs if im downstais and viceversa just for moving a little bit more. and just strech in the middle of hours in front of the computer, even if its one minute, it is a small thing but for me it has a big impact. ♥

I could eat vegetables in the morning, but I choose fruit or oats and fruit instead because it makes me feel much better. And I just crave sweet, especially in the morning. If I don’t have the fruit I will want a chocolate pastry instead. Even as a kid my mum would make savoury breakfasts and couldn’t stomach them I wanted sweet :))
@jenniferschaffer16252 жыл бұрын
Same! That’s why I stuff the fruit in all day until my cooked dinner otherwise I’m pounding vegan icecream and candy at night time! Guess everyone is different🍌🍇🍓

Hi Emmie, I remember you had a hard time opening a can with your can opener, I had the same problem. All you have to do is change the direction of the part you turn. Instead of on the side, turn the opener where the crank is on the top, works perfectly! Good Luck!

i dont do well eating sweet stuff in the morning or even fruit, veggies and potatoes are the most sustainable and satisfying, keeping me full the longest. I almost always do oatmeal and fruit as my dinner , it works.

I never had veggies in the morning in my prior life but I do now. I actually have them every morning and I couldn’t imagine NOT having veggies for every meal. Spinach sautéed with mushrooms is my favorite breakfast with a sweet potato!

Sushi! I'm 64 yrs old and running my first ever half marathon this weekend! You can run (with care!) at any age! Emmie - do you have thoughts you could share on nutrition for vegan athletes and, say, running events in particular? Have you ever considered ultra-running? Thanks!!!
@HealthyEmmie2 жыл бұрын
Oh my god so amazing! You’ll do great! Dates are a great thing to bring on your run. Get a high carbohydrate dinner and the day before! I’ve considered ultra but I think it would be too much for my body and hormones at this stage of life 💕💕

I tried eating potatoes for a month to help kick start my weight loss, on day two I was already using condiments, because plain potatoes are nasty! Only ended up lasting like a week

Sushi! My granddaughter stayed over for the weekend (she's 7), and instead of the pancakes and waffles she loves for breakfast, I offered her leftover spaghetti or leftover macaroni and cheese and lima beans. We'd just been for a walk and it was 10 am and I told her pancakes would take a long time to mix up and cook, and lots of cultures have vegetables for breakfast. She chose the mac and cheese and limas, while I had my sweet potatoes, banana slices and kiwi over greens. Ordinarily she'd have steamed broccoli with the mac and cheese, but I didn't want to totally weird her out the first time! lol

Another excellent video from Emmie who isn't known for her cooking skills so this is quite impressive from a non cook. The food is awesome 👌 & 😋 and simple. I have never thought of eating vegetables in the morning and usually viewed them as a lunch/dinner ingredient but obviously that view is outdated and old. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕Emmie. Sushi.

I eat the potatoes or sweet potatoes or even just raw or air fried veggies wrapped in lettuce all the time it's great. I definitely like it better with some kind of a whole Foods low-fat sauce or dip. Or with some salsa. Everything looks great! I eat corn tortilla veggie tacos almost everyday 😁
