HI and welcome to today's what I eat in a day vlog... except I'm showing what my mom eats!! she's never really had a strict diet and the way she raised us focused on wholesome, nutritious & healthy foods while not actually restricting anything, allowing us to truly enjoy our lives and food! she never pressured me to be "skinny" or lose weight: it was all about feeling our best. seeing all these videos of yolanda hadid telling gigi not to eat makes me so sad, and I never want this cycle of moms pressuring their daughters to diet to continue :(

I think you should choose Europe. I am from Europe and am currently living in nyc for a year. I am telling you, the culture in the EU is so diverse and you could travel to so many different countries within 2 hours (e.g in Germany you can fly to Spain, Portugal, UK, Norway etc in 2-3 h) and live with many cultures & languages. I think it will help you develop your creativity even more and also language and cultural skills!:) and you could always do some research on different foods that could help you with business later when/if you move back.

I'm a mom of 3, and we definitely eat mostly healthy. But we have some treats as well! We always tell our kids: healthy food is good for our bodies, treats are good for our souls. Haha. It's all about finding a balance :)

You’re 100% my favorite influencer because we have such a similar lifestyle and your habits are SO relatable. I know you love surfing and I do too, so I say LA would be a good consideration because there are other beaches not too far, also A lot of opportunities over there and you’re close to family. I’m not a salad person and i found it hard to believe that salads are delicious, but I tried the peanut sauce and was really skeptic all about it, but I absolutely loved it. I made the chicken and peanut sauce, expect I used garlic powder and ginger and different greens, and I had no sriracha so I used a little ketchup and sweet chilli, but I will definitely try it again. I live in Europe and love it. If you move to Spain you can also easily travel to France and other countries in Europe because they are all so connected. Love you channeling 🥰

Hey, so I was going through a similar thing some time ago... I feel like it depends on what kind of "growth" you want to accomplish. Moving to LA may sound like the more logic/rational descission, but europe seems like the place your heart is directing you to. The beginning of the year I hated that I listened to my gut feeling and moved to Amsterdam to study instead of staying at home to go to university in Germany, I thought that it was just purely stupid, but now I have come to the realization that I knew deep inside I needed change for self discovery and healing. I have only been here 3 months and I for the first time ever really do feel alive... listen to your heart. Love ya!

Move to LA, holiday around Europe! Sounds like you want to experience Europe but LA is what you need for this next step after Uni, you can always move to Europe once your business is up and running, and the climate and culture might be good to experience on a holiday before you dive all in and move there.

I think you would love Italy. I am from the south of Italy myself, I live in Sicily near Palermo. Italy is full of culture and I think that Italians, especially those from the south of Italy, are so similar in spirit to Mexican people, very friendly and happy. I lived with and had friends many friends from Mexico, and I felt like I was at home with them 🥰 In Italy food is also so important, so maybe it would be interesting for you. Naturally if LA would suit better your brand you should go for it, but Europe is always a good idea ahah

I feel like you’ve always talked about it so if you move to LA bc it’s easier(more comfy able with familiarity) you will wish for the what if of europe! Take the big jump! You won’t regret it!

I think both of the options sound so amazing! I think that Europe would be a very different change and a great experience, but I think if your goal rn is to grow your business LA would be a better choice. Additionally, I think that LA would be an easier adjustment as you would be closer to home. Whatever you think will make you happiest is best though and I’m sure no matter what you pick it will be a unique, fun experience!

You would love Barcelona! It's pretty close to France and has cheap flights to the rest of Europe. The food scene is one of the best in Europe (in my opinion) and the city is easy to navigate. Plus you get to use your Spanish!

I’d say Europe, specifically Italy, probably. In Europe you can travel for super cheap. You can find 9.99€ airplane tickets. Traveling will probably inspire/influence you in a good way. Plus, it’s so different from the USA/Mexico. You will probably learn a lot. I moved from latam too to Spain for college and I’ve learned so much and met people from everywhere.

Jaz, it’s really hard to say as someone who also thinks a lot about my future and gets anxious about it as well. I could totally see you moving to Europe and thriving off the lifestyle. But I support you enormously for your baking talents and really want to see you succeed in this field. And as much as I’m sick of seeing all these influencers moving to LA and having the same old lifestyle, I really think it could help you develop your own company and move forward with the products you have in mind. There’s a lot of opportunities and I feel like because you intend to make healthier and nutritional products to sell that you would have more chances of selling well and doing good since LA has a ton of those “healthy lifestyle” social media artists and influencers who actually buy all of those foods and advertise them and can even do sponsorships 4 you. So as much as I hate this and don’t really think it’s you I say consider going to LA more ( because of your future projects that u have in mind) since there’s more opportunity and higher chances of selling and succeeding. I never comment on videos but on this one I will :) I am from France but I have traveled a lot for my studies and business (food also ah ah), I have actually the same dilemma, i live in Paris but it was supposed to be not permanent after my mom passed away last summer because I had nowhere else to go. But since then a lot have changed and I have opportunity to grow my business here but I love traveling and working on short contracts abroad. So I continue to travel and live abroad for 3-4 months but coming back to Paris (even though that's not where I see myself living here forever) This is where I should be to grow my business in order to be able to do the things that I love after. You should go to Europe but like in France (it's not because I live in France haha), but I advise you the south of France if you're looking for sun and good vibes. For example Bordeaux! Based on the way you spoke about it, it seems like you’re leaning toward LA! I feel like now is a good time to explore Europe but honestly time is just what you make it. Logically LA makes more sense (business wise, close to family, etc. ) but I think you need to tap into your gut feeling snd decide what’s right for you! I’m a huge believer that we all have all the answers inside us, we just have to listen and tap into that gut feeling. Barçelona!!!! It’s such an amazing city. I don’t think you should immediately start focusing all your energy into starting your food business. Take some time to explore the world. Barca is so cool and also it’s just a quick flight or plane ride to Amalfi coast or France! And Catalan is a lot like Spanish, so you won’t have too hard of a time picking it up and being able to communicate with people. I also highly recommend taking a few days to drive up to Andorra and explore it, there’s so much history there and the most beautiful little 12th century church!

I agree that LA has lots of great opportunities and it would definitely help when wanting to create a business or whatever you plan to do but keep in mind that you are also really young and before settling down to do business, you really should travel and experience new places and just enjoy life a bit. If you wait a couple years to do your business things it’ll be just as great. Dedicating to a business and once you focus on work it takes up so much more time than you expected and it makes it more difficult to travel or be completely free. Enjoy your free time after college and travel and live your life a bit, just experience life. I say you should go to Europe after college (:
