What REALLY Happened to Glamrock Freddy? - Story & Endings Explained

I get the feeling that the true canon ending to security breach is a TANGLE (pun intended) of all the security breach endings. The ruin DLC features the original security breach endings as collectibles, comic pages described as 'drawn by Gregory' in the game itself meaning these are traces of Gregory's experiences in the pizzaplex. People say that the endings depicted are non canon, but that has a major issue. That issue being it renders more than 50% of security breach's gameplay and it's lore meaningless. Burn Trap was explained in collectable notes in security breach, with management being warned of someone siphoning power to the under ground and animatronic repair and charging equipment going missing from storage. Burntrap also has unused voice lines that would make him the true villain of the game and would've proved once and for all that Glitchtrap IS William Afton as a remnant ghost in the digital world looking to return to life. All these little lore drops would be moot if the endings didn't share the canon between them. Freddy being torn up allows him escape the need for a charging dock and flee with Gregory, freeing Vanessa allows Cassie to obtain the vanni mask and let's Vanessa create the mxes program to secure the crumbling pizzaplex. The burning the pizzaplex ending is a reference to fighting burntrap as although the pizzaplex doesn't burn in the game the old pizza place underground does, in the burntrap ending and is the possible cause of the sink hole as the roof of the cave does collapse in the victory cutscene against burntrap. The princess quest gameplay actually maps out Cassie's journey through ruin and the key objects she obtains via the AR network. It also hints at the mimic fight via the presence of the rabbit blob, meaning Glitchtrap got a new body after the Tangle took away his old one. All these things interconnect with eachother somewhat seamlessly and that would be for nothing without a shared canon story.

If the ice cream ending is the canon ending then that would mean that Gregory went back to Freddy, detached his head and left, having Vanessa repair it, causing 2 canon endings and this only applies IF the makers if ruin just decided to put the prototype on Freddy to confuse players and that wouldn’t be too far off since FNaF is known to confuse many players, old and new.

Brilliant video! Great editing and story telling, very thought provoking. It is really confusing to know what truly happened to him, but this video does clear up a lot! It makes sense, in fact. The one thing I find odd about the prototype Freddy (from ruin) is that his hands aren't Monty's hands? - We see Monty in ruin and he is decommissioned/damaged the same way as in SB if you decide to decommission him. So you can't really argue that "oh it was an optional boss really" The present inside his belly is also a different colour from the one you see in our Freddy's at the beginning of SB. Also why would another one be put inside there after Gregory takes it out and keeps entering his chest cavity? I don't know, another odd thing. I definitely don't believe the prototype Freddy is our Fred, but it is confusing considering elements of the Princess Quest ending and the Vanny ending are BOTH present in Ruin... Such a great video. I do wonder if we will see Freddy again as a full animatronic or if he truly will just be a head. He looks so adorable in that duffle bag lol

For the ending I think They Wrote Prototype On Freddy’s foot because there going to re-open and Freddy will then be an old animatronic. But if you think what happened in the game and Gregory went back he might’ve put prototype on Freddy’s foot. Yes, there is also a present is his chest where Gregory used to go into but Gregory might’ve put it there. Gregory knew About The Mimic, that’s why he put the system there because he knew that he had his voice basically. And that if Cassie went there the mimic would make her go to himself and to let him free, that’s why Gregory tried to keep cassie safe. Gregory Could’ve put the present and wrote prototype on Freddy’s foot To Make Cassie Turn Back Because If She Went any futher like she did Gregory would have to leave her down there. I don’t know why he didn’t hide Vanny’s Mask Or Why She Wnet there in the first place because it was only when she arrived at the pizza place she had connection. Also Freddy Would Attack Anyone Now Becuase He Has No Head Which Means No Ears, Eyes or Mouth.

It’s likely that a few of the endings are canon as there isn’t a proper timeline with some of the endings. Example: the Burntrap Ending could still happen with any one of the other endings taking place after that ending, discounting the cartoon still.

I have a wild theory, and it’s that Michael Afton really was controlling glam rock freddy, and that’s how the glitch didn’t get to him. but, when the canon ending happened, his soul left. ruined glam rock freddy is what he would’ve acted like if michael never possessed him, that could be the reason for his hostile behaviour in ruin! yeah don’t mind that yapping

I think the prototype was just something as simple as... Steel Wool added it :/ like the game has so much stuff changed with no explanation. The Daycare Attendant's Eyes, Sun's hat, and him flying with no cable, the different layout of the Pizzaplex, and Roxy and Monty's endo being changed.

actually in the room with the princess quest game there is a glitch trap thing there, also the way its shown it actually looks more like the princess lost with the blade forced into the machine and purple energy around it as if glitch trap is free and seeping out. but thats just my oppinion

You are half right there is evidence that depicts the Afton ending as the canon ending and not princess quest, I will also talk about the mimic and the books afton/Burntrap and the mimic look entirely different, the mimic can't mimic animatronics he can only mimic human voices as shown in the books (tales from the pizzaplex) but afton/burntrap IS mimic2 which is virus from which glitchtrap originated from, and that origin was mimic1 chip that got scanned during help wanted, mimic 1 does originate from the mimic itself so while yes Afton/burntrap is in fact a extension of the mimic, they aren't the same entity the pizzaplex was destroyed by an earthquake caused by tangle tunneling out of the sinkhole during the Afton ending during the explosions we see the Afton arena just fine but if you watch the cut scene closer you can notice that the area getting destroyed is the area where Gregory and Freddy were on, they left right after the area started to burn before Afton was taken by tangle, Also the Gregory and Freddy area was the only one which tangle had access too (he was right above it) during ruin DLC Cassie finds the comic 8 page on the Afton arena, said comic page is about afton and tangle, funny coincidence right? in security breach, on west arcade second floor (the long hallway with the DJMM chase) we see multiple plushtrap arcades flashing purple, these machines are the only ones with power on multiple logs on security breach allude at the fact that some of the arcade machines are infected with a virus -MAINTENANCE LOG - The BB World game has been acting up. Customers have complained that it starts to glitch over time. I headed to the theater to fix it and now it's gone. I never saw a move request so it should still be there somewhere. I guess I'll check again after the company meeting.- -MAINTENANCE LOG - Chica Feeding Frenzy in the bakery won't turn off. Even when unplugged, the game just kept running. This implies that the player is OUTSIDE and not trapped INSIDE. This implies that Cassidy is releasing “Vanessa” or “Vanny” from their prison. We keep assuming everything Is about vannesa because of the references to Fnaf VR, but there are also references to Fnaf 1 if the game was fully vannesa then How could Vanessa find the key? She's locked IN. Cassidy is who unlocks the door and sets her free, letting her OUT. Cassidy exits fnaf1 and hides from foxy, traverses through the VR game to find a key for the locked glitch door to free Vanessa more about this is that The Princess is a Golden color, she also works with a red old man, she can summon a shadow variant (which would relate to Shadow Freddy), along with the fact that in Princess Quest 3, the Princess travels through the Curse of Dreadbear areas, which we know Cassidy was involved in due to the “It's Me” Easter Egg present in the Curse of Dreadbear hub, also, there's still text in the Princess Quest files that translates to "It's Me" now about the golden sword on princess quest during ruin The Sword has existed since before Security Breach as its named the "GlitchSword", this sword is the culmination of all the hard work the person who was trying to "free the princess" in the message labeled "Arcade Conspiracy" accomplished, I've already noticed no one has bothered talking about the BBW arcade, wonder why?, since it can also be found in Ruin with none of the purple energy in it anymore. Its different from the state both PQ 1 and PQ 3 are in and what's more, we are dragged straight into FazerBlast by the anomaly without any chance to go to "West Arcade" where the PQ2 is waiting in a obscure corner that could've easily have been missed by Gregory. He is forced to go there during DJMM's boss fight when he gets chased away from the machine but there is also evidence he never found the "arcade conspiracy" message as well considering the door is shut when we go to see balloon world without the eyes being lit up, 1 of the cutouts that needs to be flashed is located next to PQ2 meaning Gregory didn't return there after decommissioning Monty or getting the Faz Cam, he simply didn't notice it there and that would likely apply to PQ2 as well. Gregory is a smart kid( he is literally GGY), if there is something strange going on and a message talking an "arcade conspiracy" with some of their screens glowing purple, he would likely investigate and lead him towards the PQ machines and the 3 star, perfect ending. now why is the sword there and who put it there? the main character of help wanted 2 who is (implied at least) Cassie's dad but he wasn't Alone, he got help from the princess (Cassidy) he was the one who Beat the games, not Gregory, but here is the neat part the sword seems to be a seal in the arcade preventing vanny and glitchtrap from coming out, if we take a look at the room where princess quest 3 is we can see the sword broken and purple lines coming out of the arcade we can also see a glitchtrap Image with the mask on (with the mask off we see a vanny black mark like if she was fused with the wall) and we see enemies from the game we also know vanny was around after the pizzaplex was destroyed because we see multiple graffiti of her (and she probably made the prototype freddy ones) this makes sense if you think about it Gregory and Freddy take on afton himself and then tangle destroying him while cassidy and Cassie's dad locked glitchtrap and vanny on princess quest 3 since that machine is the only machine truly glitched this only leaves once lose end prototype freddy now He has prototype on his foot There is a present inside of him, one that wasn't initially there; Gregory would be sitting on a present (lol) Freddy is slightly different from his Shattered variant Why is he trying to attack us? Glamrock Freddy was initially caring to us(and there is no virus to infect him) now we are shown in tales of the pizzaplex #1 "lally's game" how the AR games can affect how you see reality and the fictional world, the protagonist of chapter 3 of the book (maya)only used a AR machine for a few minutes yet her whole world shattered and changed this potentially means the "prototype" Freddy we see on fazer blast is(could be) a fake one created by an illusion (world merging) because Cassie had the mask for way to long, now if prototype Freddy was an actual animatronic then his damages were caused by the warfare fazerblast that occurred (we see the staff bots broken and some of them are dead with batteries on their hands while surrounded by dead bots meaning they fought for survival) during the next hours after the "earthquake", plus Freddy's body is on an entire different area of fazerblast and in a different position, like if he was grabbed by something and then thrown into a wall (probably why he doesn't have his head)

You may wonder who had the authority to reopen Freddy's since William afton and Henry emily were dead as well as all their children. Well it would have to be Mrs afton who left william somwhere between fnaf 4 or fnaf 5. She took complete ownership of the company and built the mega pizza plex and the aranged the ar delivery to give the experience of an anamatronic fun for everyone all to collect the needed components and remnant to rebuild her family taken by fazbear. Gregory her little boy killed by fredbear who is a robot which would exsplain unusual hacking coding exsperties, freddy as Michael, venesa as Elizabeth, and her husband, now just a walking shell the man she used to call her husband.

Is it possible that the Freddy in ruin is not the same Freddy from security breach? I understand that the body was found in the same location as where Freddy was disassembled in the princess quest ending, and we didn't run into another Freddy in security breach, but we also didn't run into Bonnie either. What if while Gregory and Vannessa went back in to make the security for the mimic, they found an extra Freddy body, a prototype, and wanted to give it to Freddy? I think the fact that we found bonnie in ruin shows that we didn't search everywhere in the pizzaplex in security breach. And it wouldn't be a stretch to think a company like that would have back ups (or prototypes) of their most famous animatronics. Or what if it was a trap left by someone else? Left in the same spot that Gregory had last seen Freddy's body to lure him in. But Gregory had left it alone because Freddy was able to recognize that it wasn't his body, and Gregory saw the prototype. That would mean someone else besides Gregory and vannessa had been in the pizza plex after security breach. But as the layout of ruin would show, a lot has happened since security breach.

Gregory is a smart kid( he is literally GGY), if there is something strange going on and a message talking an "arcade conspiracy" with some of their screens glowing purple, he would likely investigate and lead him towards the PQ machines and the 3 star, perfect ending. now why is the sword there and who put it there? the main character of help wanted 2 who is (implied at least) Cassie's dad but he wasn't Alone, he got help from the princess (Cassidy) he was the one who Beat the games, not Gregory, but here is the neat part the sword seems to be a seal in the arcade preventing vanny and glitchtrap from coming out, if we take a look at the room where princess quest 3 is we can see the sword broken and purple lines coming out of the arcade we can also see a glitchtrap Image with the mask on (with the mask off we see a vanny black mark like if she was fused with the wall) and we see enemies from the game we also know vanny was around after the pizzaplex was destroyed because we see multiple graffiti of her (and she probably made the prototype freddy ones) this makes sense if you think about it Gregory and Freddy take on afton himself and then tangle destroying him while cassidy and Cassie's dad locked glitchtrap and vanny on princess quest 3 since that machine is the only machine truly glitched this only leaves once lose end prototype freddy now He has prototype on his foot There is a present inside of him, one that wasn't initially there; Gregory would be sitting on a present (lol) Freddy is slightly different from his Shattered variant Why is he trying to attack us? Glamrock Freddy was initially caring to us(and there is no virus to infect him) now we are shown in tales of the pizzaplex #1 "lally's game" how the AR games can affect how you see reality and the fictional world, the protagonist of chapter 3 of the book (maya)only used a AR machine for a few minutes yet her whole world shattered and changed this potentially means the "prototype" Freddy we see on fazer blast is(could be) a fake one created by an illusion (world merging) because Cassie had the mask for way to long, now if prototype Freddy was an actual animatronic then his damages were caused by the warfare fazerblast that occurred (we see the staff bots broken and some of them are dead with batteries on their hands while surrounded by dead bots meaning they fought for survival) during the next hours after the "earthquake", plus Freddy's body is on an entire different area of fazerblast and in a different position, like if he was grabbed by something and then thrown into a wall (probably why he doesn't have his head)

So, I'm gonna state an obvious connection I'm slowly realizing everyone is missing. 4 words, give gifts give life. Remember that mini game from years ago? And what is inside proto Freddy? A GIFT. It's the same Freddy body, however it gained the label of prototype after experiments with giving the gift of life. It also explains my recent theory on the other video of yours as to why proto Freddy is headless, yet active. Recap: every other free walking animatronic has an intact head. Chica, Monty, GR Freddy, even the staff bots and MUUUUUUSIC MANNNNN all have intact heads. ProtoFreddy doesn't, yet the present inside is that replacement. Give gift, give life. They ARE the same, but they are making it obvious that someone messed with it, hence the prototype marker.

We often ask, well why weren't the other endings animated. While forgetting the game itself was pushed to release before it was refined and fully functional... Like in literal terms Scott merely sprinkled the lore and story he wanted in the game, hinted at what should happen and the devs had little to work with, which is why it's story direction and creative direction got jumbled. Wait a moment... The "I'm Gregory" that the mimic uses is the one at the start of security breach. And the only one there to hear it was Freddy. How does the mimic know what Gregory said when he first saw Freddy? Was he hiding somewhere? Or he is a "secret" animatronic we didn't saw? And if that's the answer, was he hiding behind the door and when Gregory opened it, he/she magically vanished? I think that also this needs to be in the next installment. This is my fairy the Freddy that we all know isn’t really Freddy like yes that’s the Freddy that we all knew when we first met him, but he is the first Freddy that isn’t killing us. Every Freddy kills us except this one.
