True to Toyota-Yamaha form (No compromises with Subaru), that Panda 86 is worthy to be blessed with the V10 engine from the Lexus LFA so it can be rebranded to The LFA86. Once this upgrade occurs, off to the drag strip and to the track against the 2018 Honda NSX. Mandatory down hill and uphill battle is expected.

I don't understand why people need so much power unless they're tracking and racing regularly. Like I feel like the BRZ is perfect in the range of 230 to 250 horsepower because of the light weight body and just an overall wonderful car to drive even as a daily driver because you can regularly floor it, you can push it all the way, when many other cars which sit at 350 400 horse you're always terrified of pushing it to its limits. Idk, maybe that's an unpopular opinion but I'm a little unorthodox. For example, I eat an apple inside out. Never outside in.
@FaeezHendricks6 жыл бұрын
Probably just for the fun of the drive. Like on highways just to floor it from time to time. Sure 400hp is a bit much. Maybe 250 to 300hp would be fun.

The problem with turbo 86 compare to sc 86 is higher risk of heat soak during track days. Or you need to invest a lot more to cool components. But what i really like is you used boost control to build torque like a centri sc 86 builds. By the way 12 pounds of boost with e50 could be safe in daily but not likely in track abuse

You getting boost creep? Torque curve rising like that either means boost is creeping or you turbo is super laggy ( I'd rule that out for small turbo and low boost you are running)
@JonnyBarajas6 жыл бұрын
The GT 76 trim turbo was a bit laggy, swapped the entire kit for a one produced by a company local to AZ. I have a video on that if interested.
@erikmiles55367 жыл бұрын
It appears that you are not hitting peak boost until much further into the Rev range than one would normally expect. Either your boost controller is not setup right or there is something wrong with that turbo.

This is automatic right, mine is too, and i want similar power from my 86 when i boost it, if i remember correctly your frs has stock clutch?, jw if boosting automatic is any different then manual, when tryna get 400hp plus. Or is it the stock internals
@JonnyBarajas6 жыл бұрын
This is an Auto on stock transmission. 12psi on stock internals. The only difference from boosting a manual from an auto would be swapping your clutch for one rated for the power, something you don't need with an auto, and using different locations for reference vacuum.

380wheel on a stock motor? thats insane, props on the build, how much do you think it would be on premium pump gas

Hi. I like your content however there is quite some misunderstanding from your part. 1: Sc vs turbo: it comes down to power delivery and intent and built engine is not needed only to make power, it has other useage like lowering compression and protection etc. But anyway the engine is not a problem with high hp fa20. It's heat that is way more complex to be solved by a vented hood. 2: you didn't NEED the wide body kit to fit wider tyres. You WANTED wide body and wider tyres. That is completely fine but it is a difference that might confuse somebody starting out as you don't need wide body to fit wide tyres. Otherwise a nice vid as allways. Been lurking since the beginning.

@dckustom7 жыл бұрын
Forte5 RS Well boost pressure doesn't always mean the same thing on every tune. He's most likely running wayyy more timing etc making it a much more aggressive tune than what a normal 7-8psi basemap would have came with. Right now my BRZ is tuned on E85 (reads at E78), dyno tuned by moto-east on 12psi boost and I'm at about 360whp. FWIW my same tune on 9psi E85 was only hitting 304whp so it varies a lot based on the tuners preferences... don't let the boost numbers fool u
