“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. I love all of your vlogs! Keep them coming please! Ok, tip for the spaghetti squash- you do not need to cut it before baking it. Poke it with a knife to get a few holes and then put it on a baking pan and cook for about 45 minutes at 425 F. That should do it! Then, once it is done, you can cut it in half like butter :)
@FreestyleTri3 жыл бұрын
reporting back- that was 1000x easier. we'll have to settle for post-bake seasoning but i'll take that over losing a finger. thanks for looking out for us, Colleen.

If you cut spaghetti squash on the "belt / equator" you'll preserve the long length fibers of the squash if you want to make "cappellini /angel hair" style pasta dishes . If you're cutting pole to pole...i'd slice off both tips of the "football" (roughly a 1/4 to 1/2 inch) so as to give you a flat edge to stabilize the squash when performing the next cut. it should be able to stand up tall on its own and with the top sliced off the surface tension against the knifes blade to initiate a pole to pole slice down the middle should be mitigated.

I enjoyed your video documentary of (winning) IM Florida 70.3. You definitely have got the cred to have my attention. Everyone is different, but I noticed you are not afraid of fiber, even on race day. I like to listen to those who actually SHOW UP :) And congrats!

Awesome video! You guys are awesome! I am training for my first ever triathlon, a sprint triathlon and swimming is definitely my weak point. I used to swim all the time as a kid, 6 years of swimming lessons and all but as a mid 20s, I seem to have forgot most of it. Any tips would be appreciated! 😁 I am slowly improving each time I get in the pool though!
@FreestyleTri3 жыл бұрын
thanks Kristen! super inspiring to hear about folks like you embarking on this fantastic journey - very excited for you! quick swimming advice for someone with a bunch of early experience: be extremely deliberate with technique in the pool right now. spend at least 15 minutes each workout doing drills / swimming with a snorkel / paddles / fins etc. (use our code FREESTYLE at finisswim.com for 20% off) to get your swim feel back. you have a huge advantage if you can do that because most people have to start from scratch. your body knows how to swim efficiently. just a matter of getting the feel back.

Spaghetti squash needs a serrated knife and patience. Unless it's got holes poked in it through to the center don't nuke it, the chance of it exploding is very high. Get it stable and half it lengthwise, if you're going for strands leave it face up with some wrap over the surface and then nuke it 5-7 minutes depending on how big it is.

I think we both strive to live up to our full potential and this sport is a perfect vehicle to do so. it makes you feel on top of the world while also keeping you humble, grounded, and zen. the drive to wake up in the morning becomes intrinsic after a while if you're doing what you love ... and Miguel can't let Jenna beat him so there's that...
