Come check out what our large family of 9 eats during a typical week! We enjoy eating fruits and vegetables that we grow in our gardens and meats that we hunt or raise on our homestead. We also love meals made from whole foods that are made from scratch, but we have plenty of fun treats too. There's a LOT of food in this video! *(Scroll down to see all the videos that were referenced in this video!)*
Check out the pinned comment below for links to our family's Amazon storefront for the color-changing smoothie cups and the manual butter churns that we use in this video!

Janice, I’ve never tasted a Turkey or duck egg. Is the taste similar to a chicken egg? Really enjoy the weekly menu. God bless!

@@Susanjoc Susan, a duck egg has a texture that's a bit "thicker" than a chicken egg. I think the taste is very similar though. Personally, I cannot tell a difference between chicken eggs and turkey eggs except that turkey eggs are larger. Other than that, they look and taste the same to me! :)

How utility bills ie gas and electricity is so expensive in the UK it would cost around £3.00-£3.70 just to cook a joint of corned beef that size using a stove 😢

@@ozarkfamilyhomestead thanks so much for answering my question. I have to tell you Janice a deal I received online from Instacart for Aldi. If you purchase $50 of groceries, you receive $30 off! The only stipulation was you had to purchase some produce. We are seniors and are taking advantage today. Our Aldi in Pa is sometimes higher than Walmart. But this deal sure made me happy! You all have a blessed day!

As for as I can see all of the children do a lot to help out. Anna is quite a bit younger and seems to do her share of the inside work, while Abigail keeps Rebecca entertained and busy. I’m thinking the boys do more outside and we don’t see as much of their work as we do the girls, but I’m sure they put in as much time as the girls. It’s great to have everyone working together and making things work out…always on to the next best thing🌷💙💕

Sarah you are an incredible help in the kitchen! Your mother is lucky to have you!! Those biscuits looked AWESOME!! I bet they were delicious! I sometimes add some shredded cheddar and finely shredded parmesan cheese to my dry flour ingredients and mix it in and the add my lumpy milk(I add 2 tsps of lemon juice or vinegar to it to turn it into buttermilk but I imagine you have a lot leftover after making your butter)and butter it turns them into delicious cheddar Parmesan biscuits! Also a trick I used after rolling out my dough is to fold it by a third and then fold the other side in and then just roll it this helps make flaky layers and I use a glass jar or glass to cut out the biscuits and I dredge the edge of the jar in flour first and then when pressing into the biscuits I turn it back and forth that ensures a beautiful edge on all your biscuits and makes a natural separation between the top and bottom layers to be able to pull them apart once completely cooled.) that was a tip I learned from my mother. She has passed on now but I always remember her when I’m baking in the kitchen she was an incredible baker and put a lot of love into her food just like you do!🥰❤️🍁🙏🏻🇨🇦

I've been using garlic oil for years, but I haven't actually filmed a video on it. I'm sure you could search for "medicinal uses of garlic oil" or "how to make garlic oil" and you'll get a lot of results. I just hate to give out any information that might be misconstrued as medical advice! :) I will say that our family uses it whenever we're experiencing fevers. I like to rub it on the soles of feet and then put socks on to keep the oil from rubbing off on bedding. It's a main ingredient in my "Momma Medicine Cabinet" when we're sick!

Yay, I'm so glad you like the videos, Natalie!! My planner came from the Erin Condren website. Here's the link to the one I use, but they have a huge variety to pick from, so you can find the perfect on for you. :) www.erincondren.com/wildflowers-8x10-softbound-lifeplanner-hourly
