The touch screen sensitivity issues can be fixed by having 2 hands on the GoPro. I had the same issue, and read this online and thought there was no way it would work. Apparently it needs to be "grounded" and by holding the camera body in one had and operating the screen with the other the issue goes away. Try it and you'll be surprised how well the screen works when you do it.

Ya it's sounding like 5.3K. Which is kinda annoying (more pixels on the same sized sensor usually just means worse low light image quality) but hopefully the GP2 processor will make up for it!

I have a question, I'm in a rock band and when we are writing a new song we record ourselves playing it on an iPhone. How would the mic on the hero 9 work for this? Would the loud guitar amps and drums distort the sound?

That’s a good question. Given that any modern GoPro is built to withstand some serious sound pressure levels, and having decent compression built in, it should be able to handle that kind of volume. We haven’t tried it, specifically though, so you’ll have to set one up and see how it does. I’m sure there are some video clips on KZbin from bands using gopros to film themselves, so maybe try searching for that as well.

Those little things work pretty well! If you search for “stick-on mini dead cat” online you should be able to find them.

Re: Settings In your other video, after the camera was turned on, "ACTIVITY" was displayed. On my recently acquired GP9 Hero black, instead of "ACTIVITY", "MAX VIDEO" is displayed. Also, under "frame rate" settings, 5K isn't offered - only 2K. What's going on ??? Many thanks!!

You say it has great battery life, I recorded an hour bike ride ( mostly factory settings ) and only had 20% battery life left?! Now I’ve adjusted the settings after watching your episode ‘your GoPro 9 still sucks’ using all your suggestions, will this help my battery life or am I doing something wrong? Ideally I’d like to record 2 plus hour rides through our beautiful BC gravel trails. Thanks
