Explain Harmony OS: This OS array is based on microkernel technology: the core code can be assembled and disassembled as required like Lego bricks, and a communication protocol with extremely low latency and high stability has been developed. It can be further improved in the future to microsecond level, for achieving personal mini cloud by your own Harmony devices' SOC. On a mobile phone, HM OS is a special version of Android based on the AOSP added Harmony communication protocol. For home appliances, they only need to support the communication protocol kernel and install industrial control related codes. The rest is connected through NFC and controlled by mobile phones, without APP and download, because the programs are encapsulated in the appliances. At present, manufacturers such as Meizu and Haier have participated in the Harmony OS ecosystem. I believe this is a feasible development direction.

harmony os is very different, the microkernel is the heart and it calls android code above it to give the same look and feel but will make everything run faster and because it is the kernel, it can and will talk to any other devices with the same kernel. it is kernel talking to kernel, that is why, a phone can talk to a fridge and a fridge can talk to a watch. Andriod layer about it is just the user interface.

@@etoys77, of course, must be Andriod like compatible so that many apps can be ported over easily, the main difference is the small kernel footprint for different devices, and more important because it is not bloatware or copycat ware, it can be ported into industrial controllers, which we are now doing. we could not do it earlier because Andriod is super bloatware even if we allow it, the response is too bad. so impossible. think of the implications... and so for sure, Andriod compatibility is only the skin layer and since from your response, you are obviously no engineer, no offense, you will never understand. imagine, now all industrial devices do not need a user interface because they can talk seamlessly to any harmony phone and using familiar Android-like interfaces for a start but rest assured that once harmony achieved critical mass, a brand new harmony interface will appear, then bye-bye Andriod. once devices appear on the market that can talk to any other harmony OS devices especially phones, all other phones will be obsolete. look at it this way. there are at least 10 devices ( car, door, lift, fridge etc ) to one phone. for every human on earth. if it is cheap to install harmony on user goods, then every manufacturer will do it, it does not matter your opinion, you got a choice to not use it. as for us, we will for sure use it and make money too. that is a great motivator.

I don't have harmony but I've used both Samsung and Huawei phone, I can tell you that Huawei is so much better from Samsung with everything in my opinion. I still have my P30 pro and it still feels new. Worth every penny. Edit: No not everything, Samsung's cam is better than Huawei.

Hello Guys. I tried to update my Honor 20, so I installed the app MyHuawei and I put it on Chinesse. Till here, everything OK. But instead of this typical screen of HarmonyOS (min 1:44) I get HarmonyOS2 notice, and when I clic I receive some message (in Chinesse) that says that the APP version is too low. However, I am using the last version of MyHuawei (11.1.4.351) I tried to updated it on setting menu (just in case), but it says that it is already updated.d Any though? Thanks ¡
