What I think you got wrong was... -Sitting on Amrylin's throne in red seems to me to be Liandin with Lanfear. -Elayne with the crown I think is in the acceptance test. -The woman is not Leane but Min in nice clothes, perhaps pretending to be Elmindreda? -Rand walking towards the Aiel with someone I think is Couladin.

Agreed (and most certainly about Liandrin,.. you can see those cheekbones from space! WotUp must be sleepy-eyed today, especially with the Min miss as well!) Also, the clean cut Rand is not a Morraine dream future scene, but a Rand dream ancestor scene. The clothes are very Age of Legends "Ishi" style. Also Also, the room with giant statues,.. Age of Legends,.. the two dark figures walking seem to have the style/cut of dress suits seen on Lews and the female Aes Sedai in previous flashbacks. Not 100% on Couladin,.. in the later scene on the pedestal you can see Couladin is noticeably taller than Rand, in this scene not so much. Maybe Rhuarc or another clan chief?

While Gawyn is not my fav character, I always enjoyed his pov chapters. And Faile and Egwene are two of my fav characters. Think Rand with the hair is not the future but the past, seeing his ancestors through Rhuidean, maybe Aiel in AoL. The reason is the visual medium - conveying that this is a direct ancestor is more difficult than the page - so they achieve it by having his vision as himself but slightly modified look

Apparently, the ramifications of the 1st actor going missing in season 1 & refusing to return to the show, are STILL being felt, to this day. 😕 However... there is a light at the end of the tunnel. From what I heard, they'll be using THIS season in fact, to try to get the character "caught up" as best they can. Which obviously, we all hope happens. And they know that we want that. So I'm holding out hope that things will turn out OK. The 1st actor really screwed things up bailing on the show the way that he did. Thankfully for them (and all of us) this new actor has done a great job so far. I have faith that he will continue doing an amazing job bringing Mat to the small screen.

The vulnerability he played Mat with in season two also really enriched his portrayal, I think. I'm sure the other actor would have done a good job, but I think the show traded up. The big statues scenes is likely AoL hall of servants. And I also thought the two walking on the dunes were Asmodean and Rand. Though have you noticed the line of people alone the hill in the background ? Those are thousands of Aiel

I dunno, the weirdly ornate cloak is definitely not typical Aiel style nor is it anything we've seen any other characters known to be travelling the Wastes this season wear. The scene of the woman in red sitting on the Amyrlin Seat could be one of Egwene’s dreams revealing that she is a Dreamer, and she then tells Moraine and the Wise Ones about her dream. I suspect that the season finale for Season 3 will be Moraine & Lan Fear falling through a Red Door Frame and Mat jumps through to try and save Moraine.

SPOILERS: I’m with Jon in thinking that Siuan will die this season. Same as with killing Uno last season, they want the show to feel more dangerous and they don’t necessarily need to have two stilled Aes Sedai in the show moving forward. I think they will keep one around in Leane and still have her stilling healed along with Logain’s gentling later by Nynaeve. I think it’s important that they show that both stilling and gentling can be healed. That being said, Siuan’s death would certainly carry more dramatic weight than Leane’s and business wise they will not be able to keep every secondary character around until the Last Battle particularly if they die there (some will still need to but not all…). I would assume they’ll have to do this in order to keep costs manageable. Some characters will basically have to go in order to make room for newer characters coming in (such as Galad, Gawyn, Morgase, Faile, all the Aiel characters we most likely will get including Rhuarc, Amys, Couladin, Sevanna, some Wise Ones, more Maidens (we better get Sulin!😉…..), some Sea Folk, more characters in the Two Rivers (I’m betting on Jac al’Seen, Wil al’Seen, Dannil Lewin) new Forsaken? Etc. I’m almost certain that this will be Siuan’s last season……..as much as I wish she could remain until The Last Battle. 😞. However they do things I’m certain that this will be the show’s best season yet! 👍🏻👏🏻😉

The one sitting on the Amyrlin's throne is Liandrin, the woman in white next to her is Lanfear. Also, the "bonkers" 15-minute opening is definitely not going to be the Tower coup, because we have not even been introduced to Elaida yet, so Siuan's deposition and stilling will happen later in the season. I'm pretty sure the opening scene/battle will just involve Liandrin and the other Black Ajah sisters, probably raiding the White Tower and killing a few sisters and warders in the process of it, and then they try to flee Tar Valon, while Alanna and other Aes Sedai will try to stop and fight them. That's also where one or both of Alanna's warders will get killed.

Jon - went back & rewatched “objects of power”. Are you saying that the orb is going to be a single Choaden Kal or that it may be one part of a two part OoP - like Sakarnen? If so, it could make some sense as “quest item” of sorts that they could use to give Demandred’s storyline more juice. Rand has one piece, Damandred the other. Build it up as a big deal if the two pieces get together. This would also work to make Callendor more relevant - a male OoP to complement the orb. NY & Rand could do their thing at SL & then Damo steals the orb at some point (like the seals) & ends up OP @ TG

Definitely think the shot with the huge statues is possibly the Hall of the Servants in the Age of Legends. Since we know Rand is playing his ancestors in the Glass Columns so my guess is he goes back and sees thru one of his Dai'shan Aiel ancestors. The "clean cut" Rand could be him playing one of his AoL ancestors due to the clothing and hairstyle matching more something Ishy was wearing. The shot with the Amyrlin Seat is more likely Liandrin dreaming of power in Tel'aran'rhiod with Lanfear in white perched on the arm of the seat. No one else would be sitting in such an intimidating higher place. This definitely feels like Lanfear messing with Liandrin in the Dream World.

I was squeeing happily through the whole thing. 💙 I had some guesses for scenes... but I was looking forward to your analysis of it (just couldn't watch it right away). Thank you! I remember reading Rand mentioning the queens watching him, judging him... but I don't think they were that big. Not sure. Still, Age of Legends is my best guess... maybe with bore part. I wonder if the Aiel going with Rand through the sand is ... was it Couladin's brother? Someone else was there at the same time, weren't they? Or maybe it's Couladin going... though he didn't have the blessing... but it would explain why no weapon. Asmodean has to be there to do the dragon thing. The Waste does look good. All the Moiraine & Alanna parts were pretty obvious what was going on... Was that Leane? I thought it was Min. I knew that one image was Rand using the power but I didn't catch the reflective people or that there were what looked like mirrors (broken mirrors?). Yay for Lord Perrin and the Axe! And Faile! I figured that must be her. I have no clue what's going on with Mat or why/how he's hurt. Maybe he's hurt in the tower coup? Or a gray man attacked him during that time?

@@eunomiac I can't recall the clan chiefs ever wearing ritual dress at any point off the top of my head in the books. While it does throw me off for that reason and how impractical all those layers seem in such an environment, I can understand the decision to go with ritual dress considering the cultural inspirations for the Aiel and creating striking visuals. All that aside I need a closer look at these outfits myself to determine how I feel. I get being thrown off by it though.

What if the scenes we expect to see in Caemlyn are part of Elayne's accepted test? Maybe they'll introduce Elaida and Elayne's brothers in her test first before we meet them in Tar Valon later. I think that would be a good way to include a little bit of Caemlyn without needing to flesh it out as much, since there are so many other things going on this season.

An Aes Sedai on the Amyrlin seat looks like Liandrin. I don't think it's an actual Amyrlin 'cause of red dress. We know that Elaida will make some changes in traditions, but I don't think it will be so fast in next season. So Liandrin with Lanfear discussing future in TAR is the most possible option for me

So there isn't two fights in Tar Valon, one being the Black Ajah heist and escape, and the other being the Tower coup? Are you saying these two events are combined? Because I was thinking that Alanna's fight was from the Black Ajah escape which is very early in season 3, but the coup would be much later.

@@BreandanAnraoi yeah, you would think the show would want time to build up Shoreh as Elaida a little as well. if what we are seeing is the Black Ajah escape but not the coup yet, you could see a broken Alanna not being able to help Siuan try and stay afloat so to speak. The fallout from Cairhein, then the Black Ajah escape and some Aes Sedai deaths in the opening scene of season 3, all could help build towards the coup. And then whatever they do with the Morgase storyline, maybe Elayne running off to Tanchico and maybe even Siuan and Moiraine seen together in some way (we see the hut) will be the last straw for Elaida and sets the coup in motion.

The first 15 minutes of the opening episode of S3 will be Liandrin and the other Black Ajah sisters raiding the Tower and fleeing Tar Valon, which is when Alanna (and possibly other Aes Sedai) will try to stop and fight them. That's what we saw in the teaser when she uses the One Power to hurl cobblestone at possibly Liandrin and the other shot where the two of them are having a showdown with Saidar. Pretty sure that's the "bonkers opening" where women in their 40s and 50s are "shreeding" each other and that's where one or both of Alanna's warders will be killed. Elaida's Tower coup will happen later in the season.

@@Sashimi1408 yeah that makes sense to me. It also could provide more justification in the show for why Sitters would back Elaida taking over. You basically have Cairhein events and this opening black ajah fight as back to back disasters on Siuan's watch. Elaida on the show can be more of a restoring order kind of figure. Also, the way they are doing the opening Aes Sedai fight in the show, maybe it causes Elaida in the show to assume that all of the Black Ajah have fled with Liandrin, when all the while Alviarin (rumored to be the 3rd Aes Sedai in the teaser at Egwene's accepted test) remains and will end up as Elaida's keeper. It might be something the audience is not aware of either.

@@BLKNIGHT18 Yeah, it all makes sense to sneak new characters in that way, especially when it comes Alviarin. I think that Elaida will show up at the Tower after hearing of all the news with the Black Ajah having caused havoc, Rand having proclaimed himself the Dragon (with the aid of Moiraine) and then Elayne going off to Tanchico with the girls...it's the perfect motive for Elaida to get rid of Siuan because she's failed the Tower and isn't fit to be Amyrlin (in her opinion).

At 29:00 Moiraine is Amyrlin in this potential future! She has the same headdress and color palate that Siuan wears. 42:35 is Min, not Leanna! Same tattoos and shrug that we've seen her wear before.

My biggest surprise in the teaser: Nymoi appears to be Black Ajah. You can see her in the background where Liandrin removes her veil. I think they are all in Tanchico and it is all the surviving Black Sisters after leaving Tar Valon. In the show, I wonder how Moiraine determines she needs to go through the rings. In the books, I believe she learns she needs to go through the rings when she goes through the Red Doorway in Tear. Perhaps she will read it in a book she finds in Falme. I think Moiraine with the hood is a vision she sees in the rings. First, no way Rand goes willingly to Tar Valon; and no way Moiraine separates from Rand. Second, the fighting we see in Tar Valon is when Liandrin and the other Black Ajah sisters reveal themselves as Black Ajah. I believe this happens at the start of Episode 1. Later on we see Siuan at Egwene's Accepted test. No way that happens after Siuan is deposed. Rand in nice clothes. I think it is in the Age of Legends and Rand is seeing something through the eyes of his ancestor. On the Dusty Wheel livestream, they enhanced the picture of the woman on the Amyrlin Seat. It is Liandrin with Lanfear the one standing next to her. Also, on the Dusty Wheel, they concluded that the scene where there were the 3 huge statutes took place in the Age of Legends and we are seeing it when Rand goes through the glass columns.
