Thanks Eileen. I'm 46 and still having periods although have noticed the change that I have 2 days of brown spotting then a flow for day that comprises of clots then a light tampering off sorry it's too much detail but it's a mixed bag. I have noticed too my PMT is alot worse with deep pain in my ovaries too. As always you help me understand what is going through my journey in priemenopause through how clearly you explain in your videos. Blessings to all x

Do keep an eye on your heavy periods as even a few could cause anaemia. This is turn can trigger, fatigue, low mood/anxiety, poor sleep and joint pains so if you are experiencing any of these it may be an idea to ask your doctor for an iron test. Best Wishes Eileen

@AvogelCoUk

Hi Annette It is very unlikely that pregnancy could occur after all this time without periods but it is still wise to take precautions. However, it is really important that you get this checked by your doctor, to find out why you've had a period. They can rule out issues such as fibroids, polyps/cysts or even a prolapse. A.Vogel UK hello and thank you for responding. I went to get a pelvis trans abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound today. Also I had bloodwork done for my hormones . The tech was very informative but couldn’t say much because she’s not a doctor but she did tell me that my endometrial wall was thick and also that I had a lot of fibroids. I knew I had fibroids 3 years ago but now I have many more. As far as the thick lining this I don’t know why my cycle stopped over a year ago and now back again which is abnormal. I know I have alway been estrogen dominance for years and have gained a lot of belly weight. She mentioned D&C possible and endometrial hypersia. I know that’s the wrong spelling. However I would love to treat it all natural and hopefully find a solution to thin my lining . I can’t see my obgyn to go over results not until mid October but if I can do something for the time being o pray I can treat naturally and not have to get a hysterectomy or anything else . Any advice is so appreciated

@@realitychecknuggetswithlad5195 Unfortunately, we don't have any remedies that would be helpful in this situation, sorry; they wouldn't be strong or effective enough to make any improvements. What I would suggest is to seek the advice of a Medical Herbalist, they can formulate a safe and individual treatment plan for you (they have access to more potent herbs than you can get over the counter) with support. They can also liaise with your doctor, if need be, which is important of you are getting conventional treatment. You can find a local practitioner through www.NIMH.org.uk Although most practitioners are still not seeing clients face to face, many are now doing face -time consultations. Best Wishes Eileen

I have ZERO family history or risk factors for cancer and feel like they are rushing to do a biopsy when hopefully it's just my body being it's old stubborn, unexpected self. I'm turning 51 in May and i had one random period about 3 mo ago, then another random period maybe 6 mo before that. Around age 49 i missed 2 periods, then I'd have normal periods, then miss one or two. Then they got fewer and fewer. So for my whole age of 49, i probably had 6 periods in a year, then my 50th year (so far) I've only had 2. I had 4 obvious heat flashes. And no other symptoms! No cramping or emotional pmsing or anything. When i was in my 20's and early 30's i had bad emotional pms, but my late 30's thru my last periods i had no mood swings or any symptoms at all. I actually feel the exact same just no periods.

Thanks for sharing! I’m 47 and never used to spot, but the last two years spotting has increased before and after. And the heavy miserable part used to last for 5 days, now 3. My dark brown hair has been getting golden highlights and I can’t keep up with those lovely silver strands that seem to come out overnight! And the migraines and acne from my teens has reappeared like clockwork the week before. I get the funniest hot flashes…they only affect my ears! Hot, bright red ears for about an hour most evenings 😅 Dr says I’m probably a year or two from the menopause…which matches my mom’s timeline. I know this is long, but I also want to offer some advice… A few months ago I started having debilitating anxiety attacks over nothing, along with migraines at the start and end of my period. I work full time, go to college, and have a family…I just chalked it up to poor coping skills. Tried OTC herbs, supplements, meditation, etc. the attacks just got worse to the point of I was waking up not able to breathe 😢 My Dr gave me something for the anxiety, but I still had the physical symptoms. Went to a psychiatrist and was diagnosed with ADHD. 😮 look up adhd being diagnosed in women going through menopause; it’s a real thing! My boys have it, but I never considered that I could have it. The hyperactivity aspect often manifests as anxiety in adults., and the hormonal changes can elevate mild ADHD into a more overwhelming form. I now take Strattera, which is not a stimulant and has been very helpful. Yes, we women are strong, but it’s okay to reach out for help if things get overwhelming. 🤗

@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Suhsan The average age to start the menopause is approx 45-55, after that it is normally considered a late menopause. Although it is not very common a small number of women can reach their late 50s before the menopause appears! Having a late menopause could be hereditary or the woman could have very high oestrogen levels so it would take longer for any decrease to trigger the menopause.

This is quite common as you approach the menopause and can be caused by fluctuating oestrogen. In this situation, we recommend the herb Agnus Castus as long as your periods are not too heavy or prolonged. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Judith The average age for the menopause is 45-55 but there are a small number of women who have it later, even up to 59! Usually, this is hereditary so if you know the age other close female relatives started the menopause that may give you a clue, however, if you are worried then please do have a chat with your doctor. Hi bisi1980 Missing periods can often be one of the fist signs that you are approaching the menopause but you are still a little on the young side (although it can happen if other close female relatives started around the same age). Other issues can stop periods such as stress, going on a strict diet, doing excessive exercise or starting an exercise programme or even just being extra busy. Have a look at what has been going on in your life these past two months and you may find a clue! If, however, you are still worried, then do see your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen

This is quite common in the menopause. Muscle cramps (and palpitations) often indicate low magnesium so you may find taking a magnesium supplement 150mg twice a day can help. You can also take some Mag Phos tablets, dissolved on the tongue, for swift relief. However, it is important to see your doctor ret he palpitations just in case they are not related to the menopause.
