Female officers know they can't physically control a lot of situations, which makes them bear down and try and control it by any other means. Police training dictates that they must remain in control of all situations. When dealing with certain individuals it just blows the scene way out of control for a single officer regardless of gender. Domestic calls are often a multiple officer situation and idk why she chose to handle it how she did other than incompetency. Edit: manu female officers sufficiently do their without ever provoking or allowing physical situations to go down. There's a way for them to serve as cops, a lot of them just give reasons they shouldn't be.

And I'm pretty sure that kid was also scared cause he was shouting 'Noo stop'. He probably needed his phone to contact his actual parental figures. As for the police officer hanging out the door, he probably held on in an act of shock and fear. If he hadn't we would have never known what happened. It could have beena high speed chase, or a car accident, killing the kid.
