You gotta love Del Boy and the British boxing fans. I can't imagine a fighter with so many losses capturing the imagination of the American public but in the UK we get that boxing is about true warriors not guy's that dance around looking for the judges to help them by giving them the win. We're probably half way in between the Americans and Mexican in our tastes in that while we appreciate the skill involved in being elusive and boxing for points nothing gets our blood pumping more than a real toe to toe slugger. Because of this plus his box office character Del boy will always be a fan favourite in the UK. Ohh Derrick Chisora

Facts, tho I think the US falling off is mainly cos in America ur either world level (legit or manufactured) or ur ignored. They don't put in the time, resources or promotion in young prospects like they used to. They're view of boxing is very limited and is also why to this day they don't see a lot fighters as legit unless they "fought an American or in America" which is silly. The UK and other countries acc take pride in their own fighters regardless of the level, Derek Chisora the best example of that. Fabio wardley vs Clarke sold out an arena for the british titles and I think European titles. The NABF title (best I'm America basically) wouldn't even get any recognition or its own show unless the fighter had a mad following
@crazyeyeskillah3 ай бұрын
@@TY-km8hjIt's shocking the state of American HW boxing. Although the whole, hasn't fought in America, for HW's at least, isn't what it used to be. Europeans have dominated HW boxing the past 10 years or so. The money for HW is no longer in the big MSG or Vegas fights, it's in the UK or Saudi. HW boxing doesn't actually need the Americans. Warren and Hearn rule the roast in Saudi where the powerbase has shifted for HW boxing. America is no longer the Mecca of HW boxing. Other weight classes for sure, the US is extremely important, especially as a route for exposure for the Latin American boxers who usually fight at lower weights as well as your Crawford's and Gervonta Davies out there. But HW, nah UK got that locked... At least until a raft of US HWs decide to get in the game, then it will shift again.
@TY-km8hj3 ай бұрын
@crazyeyeskillah yhh facts it is mainly HWs I'm on about. But the "x hasn't fought in America is very real in the lower weight classes. Naoya Inoue already has the resume to be in the HOF, and yet american fans and media sleep on him cos "he needs to fight over here to be legit" even tho he's smoked Americans and Brits on numerous occasions. Some of the media's talk on his fight with fulton was disgusting, american boxing fans/"experts" can be so arrogant sometimes
