What an embarrassment. They both looked like OAP’s struggling to get on to the bus half way through round one. Professional boxers? They aren’t athletes at all. Just two big low iq mongs swinging one arm every few minutes while wheezing, then the next a few minute after the telegraph for the ‘combo’ to follow. Seen better boxing on the costa del sol by fatty ex-pats at throwing out time. Pure shit

I’d watch and support Chisora fighting anyone other than Fury. The guy is a fighters fighter. He talks the talk and walks the walk. Comes out with bad intentions and always puts on a show. In a world full of cherry picked opponents, Chisora stands alone as the man willing to fight anyone and that’s why he earns everyone’s respect. It doesn’t matter if you lose, if time and time again you go out there, give a good account of yourself in the ring and show the rest of the pro scene how it’s done.

You gotta love Del Boy and the British boxing fans. I can't imagine a fighter with so many losses capturing the imagination of the American public but in the UK we get that boxing is about true warriors not guy's that dance around looking for the judges to help them by giving them the win. We're probably half way in between the Americans and Mexican in our tastes in that while we appreciate the skill involved in being elusive and boxing for points nothing gets our blood pumping more than a real toe to toe slugger. Because of this plus his box office character Del boy will always be a fan favourite in the UK. Ohh Derrick Chisora

Facts, tho I think the US falling off is mainly cos in America ur either world level (legit or manufactured) or ur ignored. They don't put in the time, resources or promotion in young prospects like they used to. They're view of boxing is very limited and is also why to this day they don't see a lot fighters as legit unless they "fought an American or in America" which is silly. The UK and other countries acc take pride in their own fighters regardless of the level, Derek Chisora the best example of that. Fabio wardley vs Clarke sold out an arena for the british titles and I think European titles. The NABF title (best I'm America basically) wouldn't even get any recognition or its own show unless the fighter had a mad following
@crazyeyeskillah
@crazyeyeskillah 3 ай бұрын
@@TY-km8hjIt's shocking the state of American HW boxing. Although the whole, hasn't fought in America, for HW's at least, isn't what it used to be. Europeans have dominated HW boxing the past 10 years or so. The money for HW is no longer in the big MSG or Vegas fights, it's in the UK or Saudi. HW boxing doesn't actually need the Americans. Warren and Hearn rule the roast in Saudi where the powerbase has shifted for HW boxing. America is no longer the Mecca of HW boxing. Other weight classes for sure, the US is extremely important, especially as a route for exposure for the Latin American boxers who usually fight at lower weights as well as your Crawford's and Gervonta Davies out there. But HW, nah UK got that locked... At least until a raft of US HWs decide to get in the game, then it will shift again.
@TY-km8hj
@TY-km8hj 3 ай бұрын
@crazyeyeskillah yhh facts it is mainly HWs I'm on about. But the "x hasn't fought in America is very real in the lower weight classes. Naoya Inoue already has the resume to be in the HOF, and yet american fans and media sleep on him cos "he needs to fight over here to be legit" even tho he's smoked Americans and Brits on numerous occasions. Some of the media's talk on his fight with fulton was disgusting, american boxing fans/"experts" can be so arrogant sometimes

I did not for sure know what to expect from the fight between Joe Joyce vs. Dereck Chisora, but I'm glad it was an entertaining fight where both men showed a lot of heart. However, Joyce have really regressed since the Zhang bouts. He punches SO SLOW and he keep going with a very poor guard But how Joyce made Chisora look like legend "Smoking" Joe Frazier is out of words..... Well done for Dereck Chisora, the ol' war horse is still keeping strong as a gate keeper contender and have made himself earn another top-billed fight. Mabey never world champion, but a solid opponent with oroven so much heart inside the ring over the years.

He didn’t win the Vitali fight but he put in a good effort and I thought the score cards were far too wide. Should do a top ten British heavyweights since Lennox, breaking down their careers and why they're better than the other positions obviously.

I reckon if it went 12 Joyce may have one, Delboy was absolutely shattered and Joyce looked kinda fresh really, despite looking quite shit.

Never ducks a fight, never gives up during a fight and has had some great KOs. Might not be the very best but certainly deserves huge respect, especially for still getting wins at 40!

Derek Chisora is the Shawn Porter of the heavy weight division. Never quite the elite, but he fought everyone hard and was entertaining. Never scared, never backed down, always entertaining.

Chisora is just one of them old war dogs of boxing! The guy just loves a good scrap and he doesn't give two toots if he gets sparked because either way he's coming to lay some leather!! He's definitely a great character to have around in boxing and he will be missed when he finally does hang up the gloves!

Great look back, though I closed my eyes for the Danny Williams bit. Poor Danny. Imagine Derreck on the job... I bet his gives his wife the best 6 minutes she's ever had, then just hangs on for dear life. Credit to him, his heart carries him. And yes, the 10 rounds was VERY suspect, I imagine we'd have had a different result with two extra rounds, but God bless him.
