I was the blue player. I was given Aus and got 2 jokers at 3 cards. I hit white as I wanted to keep the early troop lead and I figured he couldn't really stop me. When they botted, I focused on yellow first because I though he rejoined and I hate that bs. Thats why I had the Angy emoj. I remember feeling wrong for winning with Aus as I never take it. Been playing since last August when I fist saw Pete's videos.

JROC BABY JROC Yeah man! I would have played your seat similarly. I think I would have pivoted to EU at that point when I mentioned it in the video and maybe I wouldn't have pressured the African player as hard because of the Risk of provoking a suicide. But other then that I think I would have done what you did. And I think yellow was doing that rejoin bs, I hate it too so you can imagine my disappointment to finish behind him but I get it, if your other opponents are both bots you have to prioritize killing the only player who can actually beat you.

@@unluckygamer692 it’s bc the dice system sucks. I always leave mine on 100 bc I don’t want to mess with it. I hit someone 7v1 the other day and won the territory with 1 troop left. So blitz simulated me losing 3v1 5 time in a row before I won. So that’s why there’s a slider and I should probably start using it lol

56:49 I like the report for two reasons: 1 They are both from Canada and could know each other 2 They played the same game blue in Australia and pink in South America they are both bad neighbors and pink could have botted so it wouldn’t be sus for blue to kill Pete. But hey What do I know they could just not be realated at all.

I had one where guys came in at the same time, from the same semi obscure country. They both had a pause before they started every turn. They never attacked each other once. It was on the USA map and 1 took the lower half from west to Mississippi and the other took the north from west to Midwest and neither ever attacked or guarded any position except the ones defending the east. Reported it but I believe they said it wasn’t cheating so it was just the friendliest neighbor play Ive ever seen

@@MansterBear Just because they say it is not cheating, does not mean it is not cheating. It is super easy to make a second account and farm up your main account for a couple of games. SMG would never known, unless there is an obvious pattern of cheating over many games.

I like what you said in responce to the suicide question. I was in a game where some noob suicided into one of my big stacks, but instead of ruining his game right away, I moved out of my continent and basically traded places with him even though I got a lesser bonus. I ended up getting second place that game, (there was a player in Europe that no one decided to attack until too late), but I played it smart and it payed off. I also took the noob out in the end, which was pretty great

Well, either they were all allied or at least yellow and blue or pink and blue were collabing. Because it's very strange how people antagonized and then just botted out, all in favor of Blue. Never once tried to break Blue and were constantly just antagonizing you across the map, seems very strange how even when other players were weaker or there's an opportunity to break, they don't, but then they always tried to break you. Seems very collaborative imo.

seems kinda sus to me that blue and pink only interacted once (blue taking a pink territory on turn 1) in the entire game pre-bot-out. They had several opportunities, especially a chance to hold Africa by rolling a pink 1 stack (even if they didn't guard). They also both played the same style of not allowing anyone else but each other hold any bonuses. As much risk as I have seen, two players getting that deep into a game with one interaction like that is highly unlikely.

Went from joining other people’s classic fixed games to just making my own and somehow went from intermediate to master within a week….. also a 15 game win streak. Not sure if it’s collaboration I’m not playing any different but i thought it was kind of suspect

Having your own specific settings that you can iterate and grind on is good in the initial stages.

Do u have a video on the bot logic? Sometimes u can leave just like 2 more troops neighboring a bot and it will never add and attack, then I’ve had it hit me like 15 vs 15 when there’s like a 2 or 3 right beside it that it could hit.

I've been playing different game modes against all expert bots, and they have become very easy to predict and manipulate. Now, I'm wondering how I can use this knowledge against other human players who are far more difficult to predict and manipulate. All expert AI with zombies is ridiculous. Early game, the bots kill the zombies, which infect a random players stack the next round. I've lost in round 2 or 3 after getting infected, many times.. I think you should try a zombies game with your friends where everyone kills the zombies each round. It would be funny waiting to see who's getting infected next. Sorry for the long comment. I've been having too much fun playing bots. Keep being Pete! @thekillpetestrategy You are appreciated.

Not exactly related to this game, but what is the strategy in a large map like Pangea on progressive when everybody plays like Pete, with multiple smaller positions? In that situation you really have to judge it well, but you’re at the mercy of someone else failing a kill and feeding the next lucky player … I was thinking maybe if everyone else does small positions you go for one or two large positions?

If everyone plays well look at last season's final. Everyone has four or five positions and the game ends because of card luck. But that's progressive at its highest level.

I am not super fast, but seem to be a little faster than the folks I have been playing with. When things are fairly equal, that has given me enough of an edge to win. My advice is work on speed.

when in a losing position, intentionally becoming a bot knowing that the other human players will likely ignore you, giving you higher placement Yellow would be the example this game, became a bot with 5 players alive & no bonus, ends up getting 3rd place

Is there a reason you guarded Africa with a threat stack when you couldn’t really threaten blue? It seemed like he kept breaking you just because it was free to do so. Why not split your army into 3 parts and make it costly to break you?

Threats still work as threats. I could have ended blues game at any time until everyone else botted. I think if I guarded with actual stacks he would have kept breaking me anyways and then I would have lot even more.

Grandmaster and self-identifying math nerd. I understand there’s ostensibly an 89% success rate on the 3 v 1 rolls. However, I just don’t think that’s accurate. Perhaps it’s anecdotal, but I seem to notice a MUCH higher fail rate on those rolls. I could totally be wrong, but I’m going to come out and say I just don’t think the supposed 89% actually occurs in the game.

The assumption that people are negotiating a win is where your genius lies I feel. That also assumes many things and relies on a basic assumption of your opponent and your gathering of information on that opponent. In my opinion knowing your opponent’s experience and record allows the experienced an advantage over the inexperienced. This was a real problem in the online poker world pre Black Friday when it got taken down years ago. My sincere question to you philosophically is this. Is it a level playing field in a game of mostly skill but a huge dose of chance to allow ones record of previous experiences into the equation?
