Why do emotions feel so BIG for us sensitives?
1️⃣ Hyper-Awareness: We have an innate gift for heightened awareness. We pick up on everything, which means many experiences feel much more intense.
2️⃣ Deep Processing: Our brains process information more deeply. Big emotions become an immersive experience, and the intensity of the feelings can be overwhelming as we dissect and analyse every nuance.
3️⃣ Empathetic Overload: Empathy is our superpower, but it comes with a price. Feeling the emotions of others intensely can lead to emotional exhaustion.
4️⃣ Vulnerability Hangover: Opening up to big emotions can leave us feeling vulnerable. The aftermath of such emotional exposure might be an overwhelming sense of exhaustion.
5️⃣ Fear of Overwhelming Others: We also might fear overwhelming others with our intense emotions, which can lead to internalising feelings, making it even more intense.

✨ Strength in Sensitivity: Our ability to feel deeply is a strength. It allows us to connect on profound levels and is SO important for all.
✨ Self-Care is Essential: Recognising when the emotional waves are rising and give yourself permission to step back and give yourself what you need.
✨ Understand & Embrace Your Emotional Landscape: Instead of resisting, embrace the spectrum of emotions, get to know how each colour of emotion is felt in your body AND do what you need to allow it to be felt, expressed and to move through you.
