Taking selfies with foreigners is a weird Indian trait, which i never understood, nor subscribed to.

Its also the way they ask is objectifying. And they are herds of men targeting females, so its sexual as well.

one of my relatives in 50, 60s would go to russian embassy & invite people to their home 🏘🧍‍♂🧍‍♀which they would come in so many cars🚙 , so many times , even at his wedding💍 to see gaav (village)in what at time was a TOWN (NOW ITS A MAJOR CITY-ghaziabad area),, I thought of asking him the reason but he is 85 years now 👴my grandmother used to get so tired cooking for a whole group

8 years ago no one asked my gora male relative a selfie 🤳but how did things change to this extend🤔🤔🤔 ,,, ohh yeah someone did try to pickpocket his wallet in mumbai unsuccessfully as he is from new york 🗽🗽hes used to being cautious

No one asked me for selfie in the women’s carriages because there everyone was very respectful towards me. 🥰

I am a foreigner and luckily I never had anyone ask me for a picture even when I was younger probably because I can pass for a half Indian or something. I only experienced it when I was visiting some place with some other foreigners who had more videshi features than mine

Interesting experiment. As a foreigner, did you get all the time the demand of getting a selfie with people throughout India 🇮🇳, or was it just some places, you get loads of people asking for selfie? 🧐

Just the touristic places mostly, but weird places too - like outside the toilet on the train. 🤷🏼‍♀️
