The reason we accept mw3 more than mw2, even though its mediocre at best, is because at least sledgehammer knows how to make good Innovations, unlike iw. They know what works and what doesn't.for example,mw2's charging perks, sure it's an innovation but it absolutely sucked balls, and sledgehammer knows this, they innovate in ways that primarily dont affect the core mechanics of the game, by adding cool things like aftermarket parts, weakly camos, prestige camos, and so on. Neat changes that doesn't change what everyone already likes, but if they make innovations that the community doesn't like, they revert it, unlike Infinity ward, who where so stuck with their idea and their vision for mw2, that they outright rejected player feedback, even if it was for the best.

If people are somehow getting behind the scenes data, maybe that's the case but idk. On the Call of Duty Hub, zombies, along with dmz and warzone are still all combined into 1 number. The reason I separated Zombies into a separate category is because the call of duty zombies community is a big portion of the playerbase. I'm sure lots skipped out on mwii because it had no zombies Hopefully I addressed what you're talking about. If not, lemme know!

Like I was probably around 300-400 subscribers back 2 years ago and he sent a hate mob. 2 years later he's still talking about me even though he blocked me(the only reason you block people is so you don't see them, but he's using it so I can't defend my own takes, he still wants to see me). So yeah, it is technically online bullying at this point. The fact you’re beefing with Hope is great. No offense, but your account is a nobody compared to his size. But yeah, MW23 is a mess, just because it’s 2 games Frankensteined into 1. There’s more than enough new content to make MW23 standalone. There’s so much overlap between 2 and 3. Bring over the maps, maybe even bring over the weapons, but if you bring over the M4, don’t add the MCW. (There’s 2 semi auto Glocks and the same real world shotgun that I don’t know the name of is in the game twice because of carry over)

At this point it feels like I'm looking at a boated gun pool(similar to warzone 1 during Vanguard with all the cw and mw19 weapons in there too). If it was stand alone you'd be able to understand how all the guns perform but rn I think there's just too much guns and attachments for anyone to wrap their head around(and I play r6s, a game with 70 or so different unique operators that have their own abilities lol). Agreed on the duplicate weapons, feels like they're there to inflate the amount rather than fill a role

I like the truly new guns like the Longbow, the FAMAS (The M16 was the only Burst rifle, and one of 4 bursts in the entirety of MW22), the Bruen Mk9, stuff like that. Even the iconic guns like the Scorpion, AN94, MP9, and the upcoming Spas-12 and Kar 98k make sense, since they’re iconic, and people would use them just because they recognize it. Ultimately, I think Infinity Ward fumbled hard on MWII. The poor design choices and refusal to listen to player input until too late is what sank the game. A sequel to the game that saved the franchise, and coming off Vanguard it should been an easy win for MWII. Just do what you did in 2019 and you’ll be golden, but no. The choices they made were so bad, that the announcement of their removal (charging perks, weapon platforms, tuning, movement slowdowns, etc) helped MWIII with publicity cause they were that disliked. Most sold cod game and its one of the worst received games in franchise history. This games poor lifecycle was the nail in the coffin for so many players that I know, and it sucks that they may never come back to this game because IW wanted to over complicate and cater to a smaller audience.

Firstly, to get it out of the way, this was not a video about mwii. This was about mwiii, quote retweets that either push their own narratives instead of addressing what I said, and the backlash I got because of their pushed narratives. Now, to address your comment since you're not being rude like a bunch of others that came from Twitter, you actually have criticism worth talking about: I REAAALLY don't think charging perks affected the gameplay that much though. Yes, the 2nd tier of perks should have been unlocked from the start, they're not overpowered, there's no reason to have them held back for 2 minutes into a 10 min match... but it was only 2 min. Tier 3 are mostly op/annoying(ghost, last stand, etc) so I just didn't have a problem with them unlocked later. The only issue I think people have with mwii perks is that they were annoyed they were never changed(and I wanted them changed too). But it's now obvious to me changes and content were held back due to the game mwiii. They already got their money with mwii and for some reason infinity ward designed a new perk system that released in mwiii. It's unfortunate but I can't put blame on that studio for it. It's Activision's fault. I think a lot of what made mw19 good was put into mwii(map design but more refined, more support for the 1 life modes, slight dead silence nerf, no red dots on the map by default). There's also innovations that made it better like the drill nade to counter campers, nerfed claymores, less op shotguns, fov slider this time around, and other various things(you can watch my mwii is underrated video for more on that if you're interested). Mwii wasn't received well by the community, even myself between launch and season 2 reloaded. It took a long damn time to get the ball rolling. But you can see where the lack of support went. You can't tell me a 3 year dev time game gets less maps than a 16 month game the next year. It's next to impossible. It sucks but it is what it is. However, s2r up to s5 or 6(whichever the last was) was very very good. I enjoyed the base gameplay but thought the lack of content was due to stretching things out for year 2 support. Now we got mwiii and it's even sucking content from mwii... like that's a spit in the face for even buying mwii. It sucks even more for those that like mwii's gameplay more. Speed doesn't mean good. If the game isn't designed around a certain speed then things feel off. Mwiii to me feels very hollow and nowhere near the og mw3 in terms of mechanics, speed, create a class, etc. It's good in some areas but lacks personality, polish, and suffers from bloat(too many guns and even more attachments than mwii). That's why I don't enjoy it as much. Still, both games are at large hated. Look at steam charts. Both are VERY negative for recent reviews and all reviews. Apparently you can't even access the mwii campaign on steam anymore due to this st*pid cod hub. Sorry for the ramble

@@Mattsuki The hate on SHG for remastered content, which is what the community wanted for the longest time, is super hypocritical. MWR was praised, but MWIII is disliked, when MWIII has more new content and free updates (you had to buy map packs AGAIN in MWR). MWIII is a fine game considering SHG had to pick up the slack of IW, sort of. I agree with you on the case that MWII has held back simply because the plans of a sequel DLC and to sell that is very apparent, but there’s been times games have had complete 180s, look at COD WW2. They could’ve tried something, even so little as getting rid of the ridiculous visual recoil or reducing sprint to fire times for more reaction control, could’ve done something even without a major rework. Call of Duty is an arcade shooter at core, it’s a nice dumb fun game to hop on and just hang out with friends. So slowing it down so much, especially when the praise IW got in 2019 for the movement system, feels like a spit in the face to the players. They’ve tried this with Ghosts, and shocker, players didn’t like the slowed mechanics.. again. They slowed down not just the movement or your perks, but just in a general progression form. The “I have to unlock this gun and get it to this level so I can get the attachment I really want” is super lame, and removes the get in and have fun aesthetic cod carried for so long. The maps lost their charm when a lot of them are so open and you don’t have movement to work with to get from cover to cover. So dull and plain, post launch maps improved but not by a lot. I played DMZ and WZ a lot with my friend cause she didn’t want to buy the full game, and at least 70% of our deaths were cause by weird map design and no way to move place to place without being exposed to too many angles. So while I can praise IW for trying something new, and can reason that MWII partially failed because of Activision’s restrictions, it doesn’t leave them innocent. SHG and Raven have poured a lot of work into MWIII and truthfully polished the game a lot, and while it shouldn’t cost $70, it’s the best option you have to getting back into the fun. Cooperate greed at its finest.

The second you call COD a "footstep heavy" game you lose me lol. Relying on footstep audio isnt a skill in COD, reading spawns and timings is the skill. You dont need footstep audio for that. Thats why people get their movements read and then cry "I had dead silence, how did they know??"

Sounds are a skill. Have you even played other shooters like r6s? Tell that community reading footsteps aren't skill and see what happens. With map design that isn't cookie cutter 3 lane, you need footsteps to be heard or else it will have random flow. If it's basic 3 lane map design(cod bo3, iw, ww2) then dead silence is more balanced. Reading spawns is extremely easy to do, I wouldn't say that's a big skill gap. That's like as skillful as getting your slide cancel timing right. Takes some learning but it comes naturally after a year of it.

@@Mattsukiwe arent talking about siege and yes i have played siege, look at my youtube. Thats a tactical shooter, so comparing mechanics with that game with COD is just redundant. Competitive COD has always had dead silence, sound whoring isnt a skill lmao. No one good at the game and knowledgeable on its comp-side would disagree with what i said. And reading/manipulating spawns is a huge part of COD's skill expression thats literally what pro play is based on, not footstep audio 😂

@@Xyz3n. og mw games have always been tactical, og black ops was tactical, jetpack games were tactical due to specialist abilities, ghosts was somewhat tactical, bo4 is tactical, mw19 is and so is mwii. Any cod with an obj game mode is tactical. What isn't tactical is shipment, unless you're trying to learn spawns to break the game(but at that point it's more of an exploit than a tactic). What is the difference between strategy games and tactical games? "When you compare tactics vs strategy games, their main difference revolves around short-term and long-term goals. Tactics are choices made for short-term goals, whereas strategy is a long-term plan towards a goal. Certainly, these two terms overlap at times."
