Kamala was only expected not to make the mess that Joe Biden did, Trump was expected to do more (and it must be said, the interviewers and the debate clearly favored Kamala with issues that hurt trump leaving aside more important issues). Turmp's only redeemable feature was his closing, which was much better than Kamala's. Kamala did a little better than what was expected of her, Trump did poorly. She wins

@@segiraldoviDid we watch the same debate? Trump barely answered a single question, never disclosed his policies in detail, had zero structure to his sentences and switched topics constantly - not to mention the outrageous rambling, obvious lies/making stuff up and confusing stuff like Asylum seeker with “Insane asylum”. He also didn’t attack Harris at the topics where she was the weakest because he wasted like half the time falling for her bait (he cares more about personal attacks on his ego than policy). He also didn’t get any stinger one-liners and slam dunks (except the “sound familiar?” line) people will remember - while he also spent most of the time talking about the past and not the future. You can’t tell me with a straight face that this debate was even close. Harris compared to Trump was a much better speaker and stayed on topic, came across as more likable, sharp and easier to understand. Trumps bookie odds to win has dropped significantly after the debate, FOX news even admitted it was a train wreck for Trump and just minutes ago sources in the Trump campaign are reporting a deep frustration with the debate. I like neither candidate, but objectively it was a horrible night for Trump and a great night for Harris.

@@mr.x817 Harris was quite clear on policy regarding her tax proposals, child credits and housing where she went pretty extensively in detail with numbers and how she planned on implementing these proposals - she was also clear on abortion, leadership style and foreign policy where her positions, values and some policies/veto powers were made clear. Harris is a different person than Biden and every sitting president or VP has always proposed new policies before an election they plan to implement the coming 4 years - the federal budget, congress and senate negotiations and mandatory reviews to make laws/budget adjustments etc makes it so that Kamala or Biden can’t “just can implement it right now” - politics doesn’t work like that, and I’m pretty sure you know that very well. Otherwise Trump in 2020 or Obama in 2012 would just have implemented everything they promised for the coming 4 years and squeeze those 4 years of laws, budget adjustments and policies in before Election Day. Which is obviously impossible and not how it works! The major issue for Harris was migration - but she did correctly explain that republicans in congress put a stop to the proposed tougher border laws and funding in order to prolong the crisis to help Trump in the election (Congress and the senate are powerful and can stop the president from doing many things). Trump didn’t make it better by spending what would be his best chance to slam dunk Harris on migration - to instead talk about his campaign rallies after being baited, confusing “asylum seekers” with “insane asylum patients” or the myth that immigrants are eating cats 😅 What was Trump clear on regarding policy? I honestly can’t think of a single policy proposal he made and described in detail.

There is some spending with joint exercises and remote bases, but that also serves US's interest. Now that the countries are regaining military independence, US will find it much harder to impose a one-sided argument, e.g. for Israel. Regarding putting tariffs on everything: this can work, for a while, but will quickly erode the current hegemony. I’m confused why people in Mexico is upset that the judiciary would be elected by the people, shouldn’t they be happy that they have more of a say?
@sdb28852 ай бұрын
No, judges in Mexico have been chosen by their competency. This had led them to defend the constitution in a manner independant from politics. For example they legalized gay marriage, personal weed consumption and abortion becuase these actions are not banned by the constitution. No political party would have taken the political risk of supporting this causes. In another case the president picked a fight a fight with a labortstory over the prive of chemotherapies for children and stoped purchasing medicine until the laboratory lowered it’s prices but our constitution guaranteed health to children so they forced him to pay the price. You can imagine how angry he got when the judges told him he cannot use sick children as political hostages nor deny them life-saving medicine

My state is supposed to elect 253 judicial positions with at least 6 candidates each, how are people supposed to analyze over 1,500 candidates? Most people didn't even know what the campaign proposals of the three presidential candidates were. I'm sure if you asked a random person on the street who their local and federal congressman is, they wouldn't know. Judges are not supposed to be political, they are not supposed to be popular, they should stick to the law even if its unpopular, so why would they do a campaing?

I have a genuine question, trying to avoid the miscommunication through text. I can understand the position of wanting Netanyahu in prison, but what confuses me is the statement after. @@xAmpriderx The statement afterwards was backed by the stats & facts I provided though I'm not sure what government you mean with "the government allowed and aided the control of gaza by hummus then acted surprise". Something I'm seeing absolutely no one clarify is that while the reform calls for justices and judges to be elected, nothing wrong with that... It also calls for anonymous/faceless justices... Now that's the problem
@EarhirX2 ай бұрын
The problem with judges being elected is that right now in Mexico an overwhelming majority of the legislative and executive powers are with the ruling party, the current president has so far shown that he's gone out of the norm of political neutrality for presidents, to endorse his favourite candidates to other positions in government like his endorsement of his successor and now elected president. With that, current ruling party has but to hint to a preferred judge to make it almost certain to be elected. Also lowering the level of education and experience for judges in the highest instances of the judicial power is worrying. It also opens the doors for lobbying for judges. I would not be surprised if suddenly celebrities and sons of politicians turned out to have a law degree and would be eligible for a position in the supreme court or something like that

@@marianorivas8537 well I don’t know what that has to do with what I said but that’s not new and it is not exclusive to Mexico. All political classes from all countries do the same thing. They just hop from one charge to another. A governor becomes a senator and then a secretary of something they have no idea of, they changes parties, they come up with new parties and the ruling class remains the same, not just the same ways, the same people. It’s an oligarchy that we try to portray as a democracy.
