I think that the two main reasons why relationships don’t last is because we often ignore red flags - which is discernment needed to assess whether or not a person is worth our time & energy. We also fail to be transparent with our feelings when we’re not happy in the relationship - which will save us a lot of disappointment & confusion if only we would confront the problem by being open and honest.

Breeny you’ve absolutely done it again! Dropping gem after gem! Here’s the awesome summary I got from this video with a few of my personal interpretations sprinkled in :) I’m sure you’ll find it helpful: APOLOGIZING: - are you really sorry if you continue to do what you said you’re sorry for? - apologizing is taking accountability for your wrongs/actions and owning up to it. - avoid: “I’m sorry that you feel that way” - do not apologize for their feelings, apologize for what you did (accept responsibility for what you did that caused that person to feel that way). COMMUNICATION: - you are not always right (and even if you are, there are ways to express that w/o belittling the other person). - a disagreement should not equate to an automatic argument (learn to effectively communicate). - focus on the main issue at hand; - avoid assassinating the other person’s character (aka bringing back old/past sh*t that person did) - accept/embrace one another’s differences - avoid judging! if they knew better, they’d do better! educate don’t criticize - you are an imbecile :) you are not better than another just b/c you know something and they don’t (“I know that I know nothing” - Socrates) - learn to exercise patience, compassion, and grace. - you are not perfect :) but that’s the magic of it all. learn from one another. - avoid swapping and switching friends like Breeny swaps and switches her hairstyles :) INTIMACY: - forming deep connected bonds; seeing eye to eye; soul to soul. - build bonds -> build trust -> via actual conversations (that involve spoken words) - being antisocial is not an excuse (antisocial does not equate to being an introvert) - call your friends! connect with them and have a heart felt conversation (grow those relationships) - stop being disrespectful! avoid always making it about me, me, me! - heated conversation? that’s fine because you’re not arguing or trying to come for them (avoid irrelevancies) - avoid “you always,” “you never” when trying to communicate with another - if you have an issue, handle it then and now (do not store it and allow it to simmer!) - don’t be a coward!! do not hold grudges! stop laying those bricks and building those walls! - put your big girl/boy panties on and tackle/confront those issues head-on (communicate!) REMEMBER: • when iron sharpens iron, sparks are going to fly (b/c two strong personalities will clash, but will make one another better) • do not shy away from commitment • relationships/friendships are hard work (but that’s what makes them worthwhile) • realize and embrace your differences! opposites attract; different people will enable your growth • be humble! let go of your pride! • love is unconditional and sacrificial (it keeps no record of wrongs) • even if you have ONE good friend, you are blessed! • human beings are social by nature; no man is an island • apologize if you need to; go extend that olive branch! :) Thank you for reading!

I am an empath. I feel when people are changing up on me or feeling different and i usually confront them early. They say "No ain't no issues you imagining things". LOW AND BEHOLD a couple month later i'm going through something and there is excuse after excuse why they can't be there for me. That's how you get cut off. It took me years to learn how to cut people off. I RARELY get any apologies or admission of guilt so I stopped waiting for them.

I agree with all of this, the thing is no one has time to talk to one another or open up to and people actually don't want to as everyone is fighting their own battles and can't handle others issues so the worlds depressed and lonely and for relationships you're right couples no longer fight for one another just like friends don't. Ever since time has started to speed in the last several years,- everything has changed. There's no love, peace and joy left anymore. No one cares about anyone or is willing to communicate and resolve issues or listen to others problems. Those days are completely over. It's all feels like a bad dream and due to everyone being fake and friends moving on as there's friends per season, ı wouldn't have any one to call on my wedding day. It's a lonely world to be in. The people and world will not change and time will not slow down for us or we can't go back in time when there was love between humans and patience. It will continue getting worse just like it is. Before people felt loved and had friends and were able to give love to others but now that the world is lonely, depressed and suffering, they are not able to support and comfort others. True love only comes from parents otherwise it doesn't exist but no one wants to be on their own and want to be in relationships despite not willing tomake it work. What a scary and lonely world to be in

Forgiveness is to be given whether or not the person apologizes. Even when they apologize you do not have to have that person as a constant in your life but the Word tells us to forgives and does not say to forgive only if the person apologizes. Some people will never apologize no matter how wrong they are. Forgive them then move on. Good to have you back 😊😊

Yep! Unfortunately, a lot of people who apologize aren't even genuine about it anymore. So I totally live by the saying "the best apology is changed behavior" just like you do. If I just get the feeling someone does something that is just part of their character, even if it's early on, I do cut them off. I go by the saying "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me".
@OrchidRose83
@OrchidRose83 5 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with this video! I noticed a lot of people are so offended if you disagree about something, even if it is very trivial. And also the "if I was you" or "I'm sorry you feel that way", I cannot stand that. I ended up having to cut off a lot of people who lived their lives using these words. A lot of this behavior just boils down to a lack of empathy.

So for me, forgiveness always essential but keep the friendship or relationship depend on what you said. Which is accountability. So yeah !! I agree 70% but the forgiveness bit I have a different view. 😘😘😘I am really glad I follow you. Thanks Breeny, I completely agree with your perspective on forgiveness! I believe in forgiveness if the other person takes responsibility & accountability for their behaviour, but if they cannot acknowledge it/ the hurt they've caused you and basically take you for a joke, then they don't respect or care for you and you must let go for your own sanity, or else you'll wind up in the same situation again with them & continue to put yourself in harms way! Boundaries... we need stronger boundaries! Thanks for this video!❤

Relate-ing as I call it is all about give and take. There should be a circular flow between the two people involved not one-sided flow. Forgive yes but be wise who you CHOOSE to relate with. Because if you are only giving or just taking, that is not relating in the least and will inevitably collapse. Also understand clearly why certain people are in your life and be clear on the role they play. Excellent talk!

PREACH, girl preach! I admire your passion for the bible and the words that have come alive in your life to help guide you. As you mentioned, I too was among those who did not know much, and I still am in that category as you mentioned. We can never know what God Almighty, All knowing knows. I like your comment that we must lead with Grace and Patience and not be arrogant when we inform, advice or give our opinion when we show others a way. All that being said, nothing so far of what you have said differs from Islam, I am a Muslim and would love to invite you to learn move about Islam, I also read the bible. As a Muslim we believe in God, His Angels His Books and all of His Messengers. So We believe in Jesus (Peace and blessings of God be upon him) his virgin birth and we celebrate and Honor him and his mother. We do not elevate him to a level he did not elevate himself to. We do as he said "Our God is One God Worship Him." We believe he will return to save us from the anti-Chris. We believe that he for told about the last messenger Muhammad (Peace and blessings of God be upon him). When he says in the bible "I more to , more than can now bear. when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide into all truth. He will not on his own; he will only what he hears, and he will

so true. I think we need both self love and also other people. I realized without true self love it's difficult to have good relations with others! That's why I love your messages- self love and also having good relationships with other people..all in one and one in all!

Very true everything you said, I hated when my last partner would say that everything was my fault and play the victim , would make me so mad.

That’s why it’s important in order to have a healthy , & happy relationship is doing it the right way not cutting corners or taking detours to get that relationship because if not your relationships will always fail. That’s why the next relationship I choose to be in I’m taking my time and take things slow, fast or rushing relationships don’t last that long that’s a set up for a disaster.

Forgiving someone doesn't mean letting them back into your life. This is a really good video, I agree with you, the negative side of social media made me leave it behind me, now I just follow accounts that help me, we should be patient to become better and allow others to learn and grow just like we do❤

aww we have the same Birthday! I love your stuff. Thank you for helping me keep things in perspective with everything you do. I'm 26 years old, I'm single, and the few relationships that I've had have been mostly crap. I've always known that I've been partially to blame and your videos really bring home the why and how I can change my mind to change my life. I've literally has the worst time the past couple of years, but you have really been used of God to help me see that I don't need to let it wash over me. Thank you, and God bless you :)

My first rule is: I only say sorry if I even am sorry. If I’m not sorry I’m not giving someone a halfassed apology and I don’t want to feel like im the one who as to apologize so the relationship works. The second is: If I wronged someone even unintentionally and it just might me a snarky comment I do apologize. It builds trust and helps to keep resentment at bay if you can apologize for the small and big things alike.

It's kind of funny. I am working really hard on my friendships. But when it comes down to love relationships I am not fighting for it. I just leave straightaway when problems arrive. Whyyy? But that's why the video comes at a great timing. It makes me think about it more and just shows me that I have still a lot to learn in that area :)
