Nothing makes trouble shooting a panel, or machine, easier than a clean panel. 37 years as technician and I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. But not here. Here you have, Josh the good. Josh the dancer, the bad! (Never stop dancing 💃) And the beautiful, mis Erin! Like others are saying, your skills and attention to detail will pay off over time. You can see if in every inch of this build and every laugh from your family. Even the animals feel the love! Love and prayers to your family from mine!

Wayne, What did you think of Josh bonding the ground and Neutral together in the inverter and treating the Main service panel as a sub panel? I would have bonded the ground and Neutral together in the main panel, but not the inverter. I'm just not sure what to make of that. Thoughts?
@wayneknicely1873

@@gosolxsolar I'm a low voltage guy and and won't pretend to be anything more. But the service anchor for ground and neutral is on the input so I THINK it is just a preference. The way he ran it meets code for his area. That I'm pretty sure of.

Josh I love watching you work . . .I so admire a true craftsman. Retired from an Electrical Utility . . .the outside world does not usually know the value in your skill level. More of our young people should hunger for your skill level. It’s a gift and your wife is very lucky to have you. On the other side of the coin she is such a beautiful compliment to you. Her banter and keeping you on the straight and narrow is priceless. You two are blessed beyond measure to have each other and I truly hope your kids can see what a blessing they have and learn from you both each day. How beautiful (not perfect) life can be when individuals care about the other more than themselves. Listen closely viewers and you will hear in the laughter and see in the facial expressions how much they truly care about each other. Every video I watch I always end grinning from ear to ear . . . .thank you for sharing your beautiful life with the world. 😊❤️

@gosolxsolar
@gosolxsolar 3 жыл бұрын
Is the inverter the service entrance? Or, is the service entrance the adjacent electric panel? I'm currently scrunching my face up trying to absorb the idea that the inverter could be thought of as the service entrance.
@DannoC355AC
@DannoC355AC 3 жыл бұрын
@@gosolxsolar The service entrance is at the first disconnecting means after the supply conductors enter the building. Is this case we have a DC service, so the negative must be connected to the ground electrode. The output of the inverter is not a service. However, it is a new and isolated system, similar to the secondary of a single phase 3-wire transformer. So the neutral must also be grounded at a single point, and isolated at all points downstream.
