Kudos to Max who is introducing all these different and interesting characters by interviewing them. I used to live in KL for 6 month back in 2001 and I didn’t want to go back to Germany. But i had to finish my university. Regrettably I never had a job that brought me back. So i just visited KL during some of my vacations. I still love Malaysia.

Such an honest interview. I run a guesthouse near KLCC since 2014 and many foreigners have expressed the same opinion about our unique and lovely country too. It is because of my guests that I went to Pulau Perhentian and Taman Negara to experience what they see in these places. I was completely bowled over too. I would never migrate as Malaysia is my home. It is such a jewel that sadly, many Malaysians do not realise it.

When you asked Vijay about is it okay to eat meat, I got reminded when I accidentally gave my Indian friend a meal with meat many years ago. I was buying the food for both of us & accidentally gave her my food instead of hers. I immediately called her to stop her from eating but was too late. I felt bad about it but she was kinda chill saying it was just an accident. Now I'm extra careful when eating with friends from other races & religions. And as Malaysians we eat out a lot just to gossip about our lives hahaha Vijay is right, we Malaysians should be grateful to our country. It is indeed a great country with diversity & you can see it just by looking at our food culture.

What religious orthodoxy are u talking about? The only country on the planet where Jews didn’t faced persecution, when Parsis was driven out of their homeland(persia) now Iran due to religious persecution they came to India. People accepted them as their own. They are thriving part of Indian society from the TATA to the Serum institute of India which produced covid vaccine. This nation thrives in itself diversity though it faced brutal Islamic and British Invasion for 800+ years.

Brutal islamic invasion? Really? Islam core belief has made us malay tolerant with all immigrants despite being forced upon us. We will fight without reservation if there is a glaring attempt to trample our islamic value. Just saying ...

One explanation, it is said that the reason Indian Hindus don't beef is religious,, but in logic it is actually socio economic,, India being a agrarian society ( still is ) cow or a Bull is/ was more valuable alive as a tool for agriculture than dead as a food source .. so in the past somebody must have put a religious reason so rather than explaining this to everybody every time it was attached to religion so people will follow

Who will give you a Malaysian passport ? In first place you will not even allowed to apply for a permanent resident status in Malaysia. Many people who has families here also wait for more than 15 years just to apply for a PR. Citizenship is long way far . A Malaysia PR holder can apply for Malaysian citizenship after 12 years getting your Malaysian PR. Lots of European and American get 3 month visa free entry in Malaysia . So visa is not difficult . But it is difficult for south Asian countries as south Asians disrespect visa conditions . They will come and never go back and become illigal immigrants in Malaysia. I am Malaysian and that’s what is feeling of Malaysian govt and citizens .

Same here, when we came to India we were sure that no matter if we think of settling any other country then also we would never change our passport. I agree Indian outside India are more religiously involved

If you really know Malaysia , Religion & Race , are not issues at all.. We Live Harmony Here , No Issue At All , You Only Think It Has Issued because YOU MIX YOUR POLITIC AND DAILY LIFE that all problems you have You Only Says Malaysia Have Problem On Races and Religion because you do not see what happen to other Countries,.only Non-Muslim countries have this religion problem.. many people want to live in Malaysia because it diversity..

"Malaysians don't appreciate what they have".....so true! We are very, very critical of and skeptical about our country. We always focus on the negatives and not enough on the positives. It's very sad..

I would recommend to change the passport and get an OCI card. You will have the best of both worlds. The indian passport is a very weak one, not good in terms of travelling and opportunities.

The Indian economy from $3.5 tn will go to $35 tn in the next 30 years. So it makes sense to hang on to the Indian passport.

Ofcourse even if he likes he will not be given even a PR status. Because we are here for more than 25 years but we are not given PR. Yes we do love Malaysia but India is our country..So you want us to live homeless in Malaysia ditching our home country😢. Don’t be senseless.

@@hemalathams4450 No one asked you to ditch your own country. Just be yourself. I think only in India go to school just so that they are qualified enough to move out. Says a lot about what others think. No offence but it is the bitter truth.
