I’m 55, being doing Pilates consistently for 3 months now, I have (almost) healed my lower back and sciatica issues, plus I’ve started to notice muscle definition and I’m most certainly feeling stronger. I’m not stopping now, after the menopause my body changed but I’m taking back control.

I combine Pilates with strength training and weights. Some days weights, some days pure strength trainings, some days just Pilates. Your muscles will define differently.

@DivyanshiSharma1476 it will help you lose weight fast if you'll do it with the right amount of diet, too. Try to lessen or cut your sugar intake to help you minimise your cravings, it will help you a lot.

I'm 14 and just started doing pilates a day before yesterday, I do a 15 min session everyday and I have to say, already my body feels much more flexible! I highly recommend everyone to do it 💗

Absolutely! I do pilates and intermittent fasting and always feel so much better if I keep at it. I definitely notice a difference if I happen to be slacking at all.

it rlly does work and it lasts a while but consistency is key. when i did a 30 day challenge, the first month i missed out a few days at first but slowly got into the habit of it. the challenge provided rests and they were enough. by my second time over i had already seen a change in my body, increase in muscle and decrease in fat. depression got in the way but i wanna get back so bad

So, I just started working out again because I’m so self conscious about my body since my daughter. Let me tell y’all! I’ve only been doing Pilates for a little over a week (in the morning and at night) and I feel a huge difference already. My body feels better, and Raven makes it so much fun! This is what I do along with cardio and weight training. We called this calisthenics back in the day. A week in this combo will change your life! I’m a former college track & cross country athlete, and I’ve given birth so my body has been through it!

I’m 26 and I started doing Pilates sporadically before I had my daughter and after more consistently but I didn’t start noticing a difference until I started incorporating more intense Pilates days with more relaxed ones. So it took me about 3 almost 4 weeks to notice a difference and about 6-8 weeks for others to notice! I liked it! Makes me feel really proud of my body and the work I put into it even when I feel so tired from everything ❤

I have to agree and I only do it 2 days a week. No reformer, just mat. I also do strength 2 days a week but I feel most of the core difference is from pilates

It will tone your body, and you'll lose weight at the same time. Even me, I did an intense workout for a couple of months, but I couldn't do it continuously. Instead, to lose weight, I've gained a lot and felt so much stress. So, which is why I've decided to quit working out. But then I was motivated to try pilates and yoga at the same time, but I decided to stick to pilates. And I've made a great decision. I started doing pilates since March, and now it has just been almost 2 months now, and I have already seen the results. From 52kg down to 46kg now. I am so grateful to find my perfect workout routine❤

@afafabed3293 I do it 5 to 6 times a week, 1 to 2 days rest, 30 to 40 minutes a day. Together with protein diet, veggies, and fruits. I tried to cut sugar intake, and it helped me a lot to control my cravings, especially to sweets. I even switched to green tea instead of coffee without added sugar. It also helped me a lot by checking all the nutrition facts of the foods that I purchased in the supermarket. Less fats and saturated fats are much better, very less sugar to zero grams. Tried to switch in some foods that have good fats, like avocados, nuts, seeds, eggs, etc. There's no need to cut the carbs. Just make sure the sugar is very little to zero. I switched to oat milk or almond milk that has zero sugar, too. Drink a lot of water, at least 2 litres of water, not cold, so it won't make you bloated. Try to eat foods with high fibre and protein to help you feel full. Take supplements and vitamins too to help you get energised. I've been doing pilates for 5 months now, and I can really see the changes in my body. Do it in the morning with an empty stomach, then wait 30 minutes before you eat, because it will help your muscles to recover first if you'll wait at least 30 to 40 minutes after you workout. I do it in the morning because I don't feel exhausted yet. Instead of doing it in the evening when you're already drained at work, then you'll feel lazy already. I hope my tips will help you. Maybe it’s just me but I joined Pilates and went faithfully 5-6 times a week for 4 months and didn’t not see or feel any noticeable change in my body. I was already somewhat fit and just thought I would lean up and get more definition but did not. It was too expensive to continue.

Walking really helped me with fat loss! It's an underrated cardio exercise because it's low impact but I lost a lot of fat and toned my legs and glutes as well! (This was from daily walks for a 6 month period. I walked about fifteen minutes at least twice a day). I highly recommend it for people with health concerns, or if you are starting an exercise as a beginner. It's gentle but effective! 🎉

It’s mostly about the diet for our fat loss. Women in menopause increasing protein intake, looking at balanced healthy meals and shedding processed foods from the diet to limit bloating and avoid working against the body’s system. Women not in menopause it’s more about just reducing general calorie intake. And being conscious about incorporating movement in to everyday life, instead of scheduling it as times of exercise. Stairs instead of escalators, walking instead of transport, stretches and weight bearing exercises can also be fun and effective. Hope that helps!

I would say at least 2 months of 3-4 sessions a week (along with a healthy diet and walking)--which is about 30 Pilates workouts. 30 days straight of Pilates will likely just burn you out lol.

I actually just learned couple days ago that second workout move is horrible for your back. I always knew but I finally got confirmation. It puts strain on many parts of your back even if you do the exercise slow and precise. Just find a different move ❤❤

I am a skinny fat, eating healthy food (but no calorie deficiency) and was doing 10 min Pilates for 50 days. The belly muscles are seen more, but Pilates didn't help to loose that fat.need to try a bit of calorie deficiency

What happens if you combine Pilates with weightlifting? For instance if I do Pilates in the morning, weightlifting after, and then a little bit more Pilates sometime before bed? I’m really trying to get in the best shape possible, and I want to have the best figure I’ve ever had in my life. I’m trying to go full in on crossFit as well.🤣 I’ve come to understand that carbs and protein intake are really great boost for your body to burn the fats when you do weight training. I’m just curious if Pilates will be beneficial as well ? I’m taking women’s ripped supplements right now for 30 days. Somethings telling me that incorporating Pilates is going to be a boost on top of the boost lol. What do you think? I know this is an old video, I’m just curious. :)

I also have arthritis in every joint in my body I try to find workouts easy on my bones right now. Also my biggest part on me still after losing little weight is my muffin top and thighs but my whole body needs to be worked on. My body is awkward shapes to me because my upper body losing weight faster then my muffin top and lower

I have a dislocated tibia and patella. I can’t do treadmill nor elliptical. I need something that will help me but not damage my leg more than it is. Would this be an option

Not true. I do pilates 5 times a week for one year and still don't see change. No core strength and my diastasis recti not getting better at all 😢
