@Alex_Tribe5 жыл бұрын
Yes that's true, but where the crowd was far more fair towards Halep, and S.Williams even expressed how great Halep played. But in this match, the crowd was so hostile to Novak, for instance, they would celebrate if he double faulted because it meant their favourite got a point. To battle with such a hostile crowd, who prematurely started celebrating when Federer got some championship points but could not convert due to to Novak's brilliance just shows how F***ing brilliant Novak was. For those crucial moments in the game where it mattered (and we know tennis has them) he played brilliantly and brought his A** game and mental brilliance. He was barely fussed by the hostile crowd, and now we know why due to his excellent mental preparation. What a champion, I could not be more happy for Novak, and I have no sympathy at all for Federer loosing (because let's face it he had his opportunities and the crowd 99.9% on his side). I think Novak can definitely surpass the other 2 (and I love Nadal), as he's 32, and is only 4 games behind Federer now, and 2 games behind Nadal. He's catching up fast. I'm a Nadal fan, but really wanted Fed to win this match as I've never liked Novak because of his bad temper. But have to say I have a renewed respect for him following this match, and in awe of his mental strength and the way he composed himself on court today despite the crowd provocation. Exceptional attitude from him, and his mental fortitude, just wow. Huge respect.

Realistically speaking, I think he will surpass both Rafa's and Roger's number of slams. He is younger than both and if he plays until 37 like he said then he definitely will. He is likely to be the GOAT.

Greatest thing to ever step on a tennis court. Never ducks an opponent. Never pisses and whines when he loses. Draws from a wealth of deep inner resolve. When he's at his best playing Rog and Rafa, he's a giant and capable of beating not only a fellow titan on the court but also an unfair and disrespectful crowd. In quiet and subtle ways, he'd perhaps done more for tennis than anyone can fully appreciate. Those who don't like and respect Djokovic are afraid of his greatness because they don't know quite what to make of it--yeah, that might be it. When he's on the other side of the net, even Rog and Rafa realize that even for them there's yet another mountain to climb.

In this one federer deserved it a bit more than nole but as we know, the winner is not always the one that deserves it the most...

The dominant player of the decade- he has won on average every other GS (15) and during that period has far superior record against his top two counterparts- 21: 9 against Federer and 21: 10 against Nadal. So, all the talk who's the GOAT is a matter of tennis history, but the fact is that in the past 8-9 seasons Novak has been THE MAN
@iya37575 жыл бұрын
Love Djokovic's spiritual attitude. Transmuting/transforming the crowd's positive energy towards Federer & negative energy to him, into something positive for him. His focus on the "internal battle" & visualizing outcomes & working towards them. Outstanding. Not the greatest match from strictly a shotmaking point of view, but very thrilling & worthy nonetheless.
