God, life has come so far. I remember the PAIN of life soloing up through Old Azteca, which ice was better back then imo compared to old life. Also love how Myth has become the epitome of, "be careful who you call ugly in middle school". The free golem minion is honestly goated at lower levels to generate free pips and possibly one shot certain mobs while you hit with a troll or cyclops. Rare Moments like that nade myth temporarily the fastest clear school with the right luck, but alas nothing lasts forever. :( sadge they become so useless shortly afterwards. Also the stuns were super cool, but dang all those stun immune bosses

Yeah Life overall is sm better than it was back in the day and Myth went from one of the worst schools in the game to one of the best!

i love balance honestly. when i got back into the game i played my death to 95, but i made a balance as it always conceptually interested me. it's fun, but it wasn't always the best, but eventually as i got the hang of things and got back into the game, i found my balance surpassing my death bc i found the simplicity of death just so much less fun and interesting. my balance is now 123 and it is easily my favorite just for how unique it is mechanically and aesthetically

Ice was absolute torture up until level 100, after darkmoor gear it was some of the most fun I’ve had in this game, you’re pretty much invincible with how tanky you are. I’ve had moments where I’ve had to afk in a solo boss fight to like go to the bathroom or get groceries from the car and I come back and I’ve barely lost any health 😂. I think max ice’s command a lot of respect considering how much of a grind it is to get there and having 15k health + 70 resist is always fun

Storm if you like going really fast Fire if you like going fast, but not dying as often Ice if you want a challenge and/or hate yourself Balance if you have a consistent team Myth if you want some utility in pair with damage Life if you want to lean towards support with some damage potential Death if you want a bit of everything and maintain ok damage

My current maxes are Death and Fire. I’m currently working on Life, who is in Novus, and my other four Wizards are in Polaris. Once I beat the game as Life, I will move on to Myth, which I am incredibly excited for!

I really like the Life school, the healing that it provides is quite nice. :) I also have a Balance wiz. I know that Balance isn't that great, but I always enjoyed playing as things that anyone rarely uses, makes me feel a bit unique. 😛

you also forgot the off school hits spectral, tribunal, hydra, chimera, scales of destiny, nested fury and nested fury, and rainbow serpent which does storm damage also balance can use all blades and balance can dual school

Storm is soooo overrated by the community it`s not even funny. It`s legit one of the worst schools in the game. Possibly worst pvp and 2nd worst to solo with. The damage in PvE is lowkey overkill, maybe good for azteca/khrysalis. Storm is very good in a team, the hitter of the team, but teamups are genuienly the only situation in which storm is a good school.

I do agree with ur top 3, however i heavily disagree with ur bottom placements. Balance is not the worst school with their really good health pool and good dmg output. They have a really good rank 4, that u get in krok, and a top tier rank 7, but yea balance on balance is a struggle especially in the earlier arc 2 world. Balance’s placement fluctuates as u progress tbh since ur stats will be changing on gear upgrade. From arc 3 to max with darkmoor to 170 gear, balance on balance isn’t that much of an issue anymore since u start getting reliable pierce. I’d still put it above ice fire and life for its options/dmg plus its support ability. Ice isn’t complete unusable garbage with the frost giant buff but like it’s still the worst rank 7 in the game plus u are scraping by every fight with ur shit dmg. And fire below life for the same for the same reason u mentioned their rank 7 split into that half dot shit, before when archmastery was bugged and rat spin was just unreliable, there was an argument fire fire above life cuz of meteor, but with the recent update u can use ur school pips now so life can use its rlly good rank 4. Since forest lord has really good base dmg and it does more dmg with feint stacking than just dragon’s hit + dot, but fire does have incredible pierce

Can see your perspective on Balance and I'll trust your word since my perspective on Balance is basically just Arc 2 and I've heard about the school just getting better with Nested Fury. Case with Life is a bit similar, you are a D1 Fire hater though 😭. In all seriousness though I hope they end up doing something that at least gives the option for Fire players to convert their DOTs through spellements because it makes Fire more ass than it should be and they're even changing decent Fire spells into ass DOTs. Lowk might be a controversial opinion but when KI forces more barriers and school identity into stuff that's not even competitive like PvE it just makes the schools more unfun. Anyways, done yapping about how much I hate KI. Happy you agree with the top 3, those rankings (especially #1) are pretty universally agreed on 💀.

@@Firestarter_101 yea ofc. Typically death storm and myth, are commonplace where they are. Regarding balance, u get that darkmoor gear and u get like, 25 pierce or something, then balance gets less walled by other balance enemies. Nested fury is good and all but, unless u are running 4 piece shad gear from da hunhussy (like me 💅) shad hits are unreliable, so ur go to would still be power nova. Ider a specific balance boss having more than like 40 res anywhere. U won’t pierce through it all but u will actually crack like 110 dmg granted u have the good gear. With pve fire, I mean fire is my first ever experience/max since 2011 so it’s like my og. Questing with dragon was good, it did a lot and it is the most damaging rank 7 by far, but waiting 2 day shipping with prime for the ots to pop is kinda what neuters it. It’s cuz, after questing on the storm: seeing the different between storm lord and dragon’s hit+ ot was just a huge night and day difference.

Ha i got Snappy Gryphon from Sinbad pack and my Balance has 10 & 10 Balance and Death damage and hes well equipped. Snappy gives me 18 Balance Crit , its too good not to use. Also im going to train it despite being first gen , just cause it has naturally best talents in pool.❤

You can find someone who has a quint damage snappy gryphon to lend pretty easily, I have one that I can lend if you want to meet in game. Better to have a bunch of Balance/Uni damage as opposed to Death damage and some crit

Highly disagree with this list 1-ice is underrated yeah frost giant is weaker than forest lord but freeze ray is stronger than lord of the jungle yes its a shad but when fighting bosses you usually have a shad by the time you hit anyways also ice damage isn’t that bad it only is missing like 40 damage compared to the offensive school which really just means ice requires only one extra turn to attack+freeze ray is stronger than orthrus and storm lord especially when you spellelemental it up 2-fire is just garbage for soloing and no way better than life or ice thats just cap i would argue its nearly as bad as balance 3-storm is just a worse myth its not as bad as people make it out to be but its still bad

I played storm first as a kid and now I've picked it for my first time questing through the story as I honestly just like the high risk. The glass cannon nature of it just makes me feel like I'm playing Kingdom Hearts on Critical mode where I can just get totally wiped if I'm not careful but if I make the right decisions I'm unstoppable.

I respect your opinion but it's less of Ice being bad and more of other schools just being better. Ice isn't awful to play but it's a fact that it's slower to quest up than other schools on this list and that Life can basically just be Ice plus heals. Barrage gives you good damage that's true but unless you're running gear that gives shad rating the RNG makes them unreliable. Arc 1 Ice is also rough, you can optimize Ice by getting a good pet with a Blade that can make up for no Blade until 38 but this vid was also meant to help beginner players as well who likely wouldn't have access to good pets as soon as Arc 1.
