Yes! People want immediate forgiveness because they’ve said ‘sorry’ - they don’t like the consequences that their bad choices bring.

A true apology is not just the act of saying sorry but also doing what can be done to fix the damage.
@essence74234 жыл бұрын
Yes, I saw a quote :" the best apology is changed behavior"... somehow some adulrs figure they can apologize yet keep doing the exact same offense and act like you shouldn't be mad all over again. Its rewounding , at that point its disengenious and time to move on.

I was motivated, after a week of thinking, that I did NOT want to find out his other abusive ways, if he was already willing to do that after DATING. #RedFlagTip #dating #IchooseMe

Great information here. Spirit speaks in terms. Of the who, what, and why. Forgiveness is a choice. Decided by the one who was disappointed. Which is the best healing medicine. When someone volunteerarly make selfish and injusted decision(s). They are better off being single. Repeat offenders are never sorry. The same behavior has no boundaries. From beginning to the end. Therefore, the excuses for their actions. Is not believable that they are remorseful. To say the teast. Some dudes/ gals. Will go out and buy brand-aids (cash, car, jewelry, buy a house, an item the person really like, go on shopping sprees). That's if they feel she/he is worrh keeping them around. Let's be clear ladies or gents. Your not for sale or rent. People can't buy their wrong for a quick fix solution. Monogamy. For example is a covervant commitment. As is a business partnership. Or a relationship with someone. Once a crystal vase is shattered. There's no way. Some of the pieces of that vase. Can't be glued back together. Into it's original shape. Forgive and move on. Let the person who trusted you and you hurt. Goooooooo! We all deserve happiness. First with themselves. With or without someone. Wish the other person well. Hopefully their finally realize. When they grow up. And another good thing. Come Into their life. They learn from their past mistakes. Appreciate them. Try not to blow it again. Peace

That's a lot of good advice. As a single person after hearing that, I prefer to stay single. With paying the bills, raising a child, taking care of home and continuing my education, a relationship sounds like a whole other job. Good luck to all the couples!

Eradication from the bondage of heartache and to eliminate the agony of their experience are the primary concerns of the person in deep trauma. They give PEACE a chance to reign in their hearts. On the other hand, if what is acceptable to you may not be acceptable on the other party and vice versa, NO CHANCE for a relationship to function well, never ever try. It is very toxic kind of relationship. Compromise is a form of sacrifice so we should find someone who will compliment our emotional needs instead putting everything under chaos.

So much wisdom in this!! I love how Spirit says you have to see the relationship as a separate living entity! And if God is in the middle, that’s even better! I grew up in a highly dysfunctional covert narc family, so learning about loyalty, relationships, etc. is great!

Very wise advice - served straight up. Love it. I've had to hold off forgiving people because they keeping doing the same thing and keep saying 'I'm sorry' like it's a golden ticket!
@rachellebasset46714 жыл бұрын
What do you think about a punishment complex? When my partner and I have disagreements, he turns the blame to whatever I've done that was incorrect or wrong, focuses on that aspect of the disagreement, and demands repayment or retribution in order for me to earn his forgiveness.
@rachellebasset46714 жыл бұрын
For context, it's how he learned to be from his father.
@realtalk6754 жыл бұрын
Rachelle Basset sorry my english isn’t that great . maybe you can tell him when u both are in good spirit and not arguing, tell him how you feel without blaming. And that you really want a solution that works for both of u instead of doing whats more harmfull to the relationship. Otherwise resentment will grow over the years because you keep allowing it. And Because there are 2 people in a relationship and sometimes to grow stronger we have to compromise. My boyfriend and i went to the same 6 years ago now we are 10 years together and better then before. Its not always easy but its worth the try. Honesty and communication is key 🔑
@essence74234 жыл бұрын
