That's awesome. I'm going to start doing more mile repeats, maybe working my way up to 7 too, though not at a sub-5 pace!

Mile repeats are the way to go according to Daniels. MD in exercise physiology. Great vo2 max workoit. Huddle got about 21 min of vo2 max training. Irregardless of whether or not she rested 2 min brtween repeats.

You just won the 10k Nationals so I'm not knocking BUT WHY do you live in one of the hottest places in America? How many more quality reps could you do if it were a reasonable temperature? I know it's morning but it's already 90 some mornings by 9am! Come to San Diego where you can train either on the coast or inland 365. Great form!

The 90 degree weather builds a different type of strength and fitness. If she can do this in hot as weather, when she races somewhere cooler it will feel easier.

I could run a mile at that pace... but if I waited 2 min and ran another one I’d be lucky if I hit a sub 6 min mile 😭

What the need of working with 4:56 Peace.. She obviously is not gonna run that fast on marathon ..if I was her coach I would tell her to put on more miles per week.. I am talking about hundred plus miles a week and work with 5:30 peace.. Molly is good but her workout ain't
@Opi3955 жыл бұрын
It's easy to get stuck in a certain pace and high mileage for marathon training. It's important to stimulate your fast twitch and do some type of speedwork even as a marathon runner. Otherwise you get stuck at a neuromuscular level.
@li0scc05 жыл бұрын
This would be around her Anaerobic Threshold Pace. The 3 most important paces to run are Aerobic Threshold (about Marathon pace), Anaerobic threshold (about 15k pace), and VO2 pace (roughly 3k pace).
