Give them strong feedback about ss and cv every survey. Just off a 2 month chatban after a really frustrating night of moronic play trying to get through hold qual where I snapped and got a bit too abusive in chat. Got the 100% back dubs option for the battle pass.

For a few players in my clan with primary and secondary accounts for multi-clan (fleet) operation, the criteria seemed to be "the primarily played account, with the most ships, playtime, and clan battles play... got the full refund one." The alternate accounts with very little play, despite regular logins got the half refund version... . Or, read another way (if you see the positive side instead of the negative), the newbie accounts that could benefit the most from coal ... got more coal... as a potential reward if said accounts were to be played.

This is the "we hoped you wouldn't notice, and we're going to try to explain it away" treatment. It's unacceptable in my opinion. If WG wants to test out reward structures on players, fine. But they should be transparent about the fact that they're doing so without the playerbase starting an inquisition. Anytime information is concealed, or not revealed whether it be in games, work, or any other circumstance, my general impression is that the party limiting said information knows that it won't be received well. In WG's case, all they have to do is NOT screw their playerbase, and everyone will be happy. Granted, letting players buy back part, or all of their battlepass through playing is a fantastic move imo, but it shouldn't be a lottery system, even if it's just in testing.

While I do agree they should have been transparent about it, it seems like we get an entirely great update, and people STILL find things to complain about. Just take your half refund and coal and suck it up, god damn. It's still way more than wargaming was giving last battle pass and for a lower price than last battle pass.

Scam is never acceptable and people should complain about it. WG is ever trying to see how much they can scam their playerbase and should relentlessly be called out on it.

What i really dislike about the dockyard is, that the missions unlock at certain times. So i can't play all the phases with my own pace, i have to wait for the next one to unlock.

That's exactly why I haven't completed most dockyards. I have a life, I can do the missions, but not all of them when WG dictates I have to. It probably hurts them. After all, why bother with any of it if you can't do the last set in the time period. I missed Michaelangelo, Somme, Daisen, etc., because I wasn't in the country for some of the missions.

Seems like WG needs to rethink that, since according to the studies, people pay more if they play more. But I now I have almost no insensitive to play for 5 days. Lol.

Got the full doubloons back option, so yeah, I bought it. Also noticed Weegee apparently can't tell days correctly, their "weekend" missions started on thursday instead of friday and only run through saturday, not sunday.

That's the week mission if it's the 25,000 BXP mission in the pass. The weekend one is usually 3 x 7,000 BXP over 3 days. Think they're just playing/tinkering with it slightly. All these time zones don't help, think that is another reason why they centre it at EU server.

Yes RB points haven't been available through anything but line resets for at least 2 maybe 3 patches now. Makes me glad I finally was in a position where resetting my IJN torp DDs once was enough to finally get Ohio. Outside of doubloons RB are without a doubt the most expensive resource in the game. They were even when they throwing small amounts in through Battlepass or Dockyard now that's doubly true.

On the subject of Golden week/Event Pass i was offered a Full refund of my Doubs, disclosure i bought the pass, also i'm in (NA) server listening to other players in the other servers at other times did make observations on the matter, and you touching on the subject made that clear now to me. The battle pass should give you the opportunity to pick what version you'd like to buy so it's fair for everyone and those who want their Dubs back can get them back. And those who want more in game resource can get more in game resource.

I'm on NA server and got the 1250DB back option. The parts that look good to me are the extra 24k coal, extra port slots, and the Tier 8 booster. This will be my first event pass that I spend DB on since I like the deal. I don't like the way WG handled this though as they should have been upfront about it right from the start but I guess they can't help themselves.

Asymmetric battles got nerfed into the ground fyi I played a game on test with a supership and got 9 kills, 400k+ damage, multiple caps and defended ribbons, and I still lost credits.

I did talk to El-Fruchtini from the German WoWs-Discord about that... he and some other ppl (normal Players I assume) did defend this with the argue it's just a Test... and how should they figure it out otherwhise. And at this point I did notice that the Test is just mental Gymnastics. Like srsly... they say the coal has the same value than the Dublones... and that comment hit me hard... like a truck. IT. WOULD. BE. THE. SAME. VALUE. ... if u could TRADE Coal to Dublones... but u can't so it is NOT the same Value -period-. Also... some ppl r saying: "uh I'm happy that I got coal..." yeah GREAT congrats to that... I am not happy.

This is a bit concerning for the battlepass, if most players spent 2500 dubs for a BP then half of the player base would get the full sum of what they spent and the other unfortunate half gets half the amount. Are they gathering angry mobs? Honestly, if they want to keep the player base with this BP, it would be better if all players can get back the 2500 dubs they spent, and recycle it for next months BP. Aside from other event/s they get shitload of money.

I'm going to guess that people who will get their dubs back are the ones that don't buy the pass, and those who get coal at the end are the ones who get the pass regularly. Also I am guessing WG is seeing the battle pass is not a popular option, and maybe doing what they can to get people to try it out.

It's pretty wild to me that they wouldn't consider doing a poll first, ask players in a news article what they'd prefer more of; doubloons, coal, steel or resource points, then test using the top answers for the next few passes. I'd happily spend abit of doubloons for steel or resource points especially, though getting doubloons back has been nice. I had just figured when I saw that the whole pass gets refunded was a welcome change for the better, that it'd incentivize players to play regularly, which seems like what they want right now. To not announce this split testing, and make one set of passes entirely free is just scummy imo, as alot of players can miss out on that chance who otherwise would want to get it.

The weird thing on this update to me is the Somme Containers. They mention if you already have the Somme you can get 19k doubloons ($75!). If anyone already had the Somme prior to the containers becoming available then what happens? (I had to get some containers to finish my Somme and that is when I saw the info.) Does anyone know what this is about? BTW- my battle pass was for doubloons and will be buying the 2nd tier since it will be free.

Different Event passes for different players is not something that is new. During the parch which had the support CV's, a friend of mine got the Yorktown right of the bat from the premium event pass. I didn't get her until much later. At the time I didn't think much about it until I saw this Vid. Another good vid btw

I completed all the missions of the first week with assymetric in one evening. It's really enjoyable, and for sure the 3 or 4 first weeks will be quite easy to grind. But as usual, the last week will be a pain in the ass, and probably 2 or 3 last levels will be achieved using doubloons.

I think most on the SEA Server (I being amongst them) just accept that we are the forgotten wheel. As a habit I always check before considering buying the Event Pass to see if it is worth it and I noted that in my offering I was getting back half the doubloons back. I am curious to see if this changes daily until you actually buy it.

Also, Epic Games Store (EGS) did not get the update pushed out from WG till EU servers went down. What did WG do? Only that tiny bell notification on the WG website that was VERY vague of what was even given, just said they gave me compensation for EGS delay... What compensation? No details, no list, not even a in game notification, just on the website that I'm sure majority of players NEVER log in on because all the information is in game anyway. 🙄

I used to spend a few hundred a year on this game, mostly around black friday and christmas events. i even used to have the premium subscription for years. I stopped spending money on this game the moment they added the battlepass, haven't spent a dime since. Gotta admit they almost had me with the wisconson, i was seriously considering logging in to buy it. till i heard about the bullshit they're playing with the BP, and i remembered. oh right, not supporting their bullshit anymore. good luck WG, this paypig aint gonna come back. you f-ed around and found out.

The only issue I have with any of this is that players should be given a choice of which they want. It's all digital pixel stuff, one way or the other. But I do think it'd be more revealing of players' desires if WG had given every player the choice of which choice they wanted.

Perhaps what they really would like is individual pricing. That is, to find out exactly what options each and every player should be presented with rather than the player base as a whole in order to squeeze the most out of them. Not based only on where they are at in the game but also their mental disposition. Which would seem unfair, because individual pricing arguably always is. But it also makes the premise of it being a "game" even more shaky as there is for a game the presumption of an even playing field that individual pricing would decisively skew.

I got the BP with the 2500 doubloons on it but haven’t bought it yet. Other channels posted that there are two BP on paid with some getting coal, some the doubloons. Wonder if something to do with not bought the past few as nothing on them worth paying for. People can see in the paid battlepass what getting before they pay out. Did first stage of Dockyard in just under 3 hours last night with Assymetric and then a few co-op to complete the remaining kills once got the BB (schlieffen) and Cruiser (Napoli, Michelangelo and agir).

I complained to them that it wasn't fair I paid 2500 dubs not knowing other people were getting those 2500 back. Long story short they gave me back my 2500 dubs and removed whatever I had won in the event. The thing is I don't care about coal that much, there aren't any coal ships left that I actually care about. If they are going to make an event they better give us all the same deal.

If they’re testing whether more people will buy the battle pass then they needed to give the players the options of EITHER 1) more doubloons or 2) more coal. And then see which sells better. Randomly splitting which version you get doesn’t prove anything.

I don't get one thing if I see in my Gloden Week event 4 lots, that are: 3 x 500 doubloons and 1 x 1000 doubloons, doesn't mean that I can not get 2500 even if fulfilling all 20 stages of this second line?

WG, has never been completely upfront in how things work. Take for exp., the % chance of winning different things in containers. Nor do they always tell the players the completely best way to earn EP.

EU server. I got 1/2-doubloons 2nd row. But I saw that information together within in-game description of the new patch. Although it was quite hidden - I had to search why I have only 1/2 although paragraph said something about full-return of the paid currency

Done the first set of dock yard unlocks in a day via asymmetric battles…. And your 100% with the end part of the dock yard - normal it is 40 to 42,000 base XP to unlock a stage but this time around it is 60,000 so some people will need 3 to 7 more days if not more to get the figure but due to being the last stage of the dock yard build you are not getting extra time to complete the stage

I think that a full doubloons reward as the cost to get a full refund is fair as many other games do that. U need to pay for first battle pass and for every next one u get enough in reward to have it free for every next battle pass if u finish it. As u paying premium time u MUST have it to actually benefit from a second-line battle pass. It was unfair to pay for both and in the long run wasn't good, especially with so expensive so-called free game when a single premium ship costs 40-200$ and the game has how many premiums. I like this dockyard event only wish that you don't need to wait so long to complete it or pay an insane amount to finish it right away what was it like 12k for 9 stages 32 stages needed was what like 40k doublons roughly 130-140$ and if get few lvls for free can cost u 100$ or bit less depends how and when u start grind or how u do it. I would like to see that we have the option to finish it sooner let's say finish ALL missions from stage one then it will automaticaly unlock the second stage and so on. We don't need to wait for a week to get the second stage etc.. that way heavy grinders who want to grind or play 10-20h a day can finish it let's say in a week or 2 weeks instead of 6 weeks or so, will give more ppl reason to play more as atm i can kinda chill for a week play just 2-3 battles a day to get battle pass points or bit more when u don't have economic bonuses as they are expensive as hell as flags also which u use per battle no matter if u dc-game crash or whatever. I know many ppl whalers, cc, streamers, etc have infinitive cash, doublons, flags and bonuses BUT regular players barely can have any, especially new players and they are impossible to obtain cheaply and die a lot. There shoud also be more dockyard events like this to spend very little or be free, they pop in-game every 3-6month anyway but for sure make more ppl happy and play to get something for free with enough time invested in-game. just my 2cents

my second line let me get full doubloon refund. I wonder what the half refund looks like? I mean you can see it in the progress line before you hit the "buy" button, unless it's showing a full doubloon refund but after you hit buy it turns to coal. I don't think it's concealed information. just read before you buy and don't make any assumption.

If WG wants to sell more battle passes, they could offer bundles since they love those so much. One could be a bundle that includes premium time, another could include the three phases of the dockyard and a third could include both premium time plus the dockyard. I´m sure a lot of players would jump at the chance of getting those three things in bundle for a slight discount.

I swear WG has a team employed whose sole purpose is to come up with new ways to test how much they can piss on their playerbase without losing revenue. This is a great idea turned terrible, in part because it's random between 1250 and 2500 doubloons rewarded, and in part because like Sealord says, who the hell cares about coal compared to doubloons? If they were deadset on doing the 2 levels of doubloons, atleast make the alternative a resource that matters a bit more like steel or research points. That would have way more value to the casual players who don't play clan battles / want to grind multiple techlines over and over.

I wouldn’t have a problem with only getting half doubloons back (that’s what I got with the BP) IF the ‘other half’ when compared to those who received a full refund was Steel, rather than coal. The reality is that for those of us that have played for a while is that we’ve got most/all of the coal ships we want and steel is what we need. Particularly if we aren’t doing clan battles. So WG, be transparent and give a balanced recompense for those who didn’t get a full refund so that you don’t feel ripped off compared to those who got the full refund. Dubs are REAL money….

I think you forget that not just the magority of the playrbase are EU but the wargaming's own headquarters are EU (in Cyprus), so they just might forgot about he pass and when the update launched in NA and ASIA servers wargaming didn't had a person on work until EU morning and delt with it

I got the 2500 dub refund version and didnt know about the 50% version. To be honest, I still would've bought it either way. This isn't bothering me so much, but I suppose I would've like a choice. Buy the version with less coal and all dubs back or buy the increased coal with half dubs back. That probably would've been a better way to go.

There is a group of like 10 of us that play and with these "test" battle pass progressions a distinct pattern has emerged. About half buy the premium line every patch and they others never do. The ones that never do always have the better progression line. Full dub refund, yorktown at phase 1 etc. The guys that always buy it have never been given the better line, not once. No way is thay coincidence. Def this was a hope no one notices that we are trying to get the people that dont buy it to buy it by offering different (better) rewards to them. Its a scumy thing imo.

I assume they are offering a "get full doubloons back" option for those who don't have 2500 doubloons in their account right now. That is, people have to buy doubloons, spend them, and possibly get them back. This is how they incentivize people to make in-game purchases.

How is it gambling? You give them a known amount of doubloons for a known set of stuff. The only uncertainty is whether or not you will get all the way through it.

I'm on the NA server and I got no doubloons oh wait I didn't stupidly buy it even with the BP tier 8 who on earth plays tier 8 in today's meta. They tried to get players to play tier 11 ships in ranked that failed too.

Well since they wanted the data... If they said at the start that there is a better and worse (in players eyes) paid battlepass that would skew the results - now they have a data from the first 24h when most people didnt know about random paid battlepass rewards and can compare it to the purchases that happened later....

Events like this remind me why I'm glad I have not spent money on this game the last two years. But to be fair...... I am no longer motivated to compete and try to improve my game, besides I took up a more productive hobby. So I just play for fun now... and I do have fun when I play. But the gimmicks are getting weirder and players are still toxic, so there is no motivation for me to stay "current"

I like the extra resources personally. Be better if it was steel but I’ll take the 24000 coal. You use to get 3 bags of coal a lot now it’s hardly ever. I remember getting 3 bags in all 3 daily crates a few times a few years ago with some luck.

I can’t understand all the uproar about the BP. Should have put it in the notes for sure, but people on discord are literally saying that WG stole from them. I got the 50% offer. I think the 100% offer is a better deal (a bunch of free meh stuff vs 12k coal and a bunch of meh stuff for $5). I understand disappointment in not getting the one you prefer, but at least the screaming people on discord need a little perspective. PS- cleared the 1st dockyard mission using only my Mass and Lex in Randoms yesterday😂

I came back last summer after dropping off in late 2018. In many ways its an entirely different game. Many lines rebalanced, new lines and nations added, superships added, submarines added. Balance I think has gotten worse in many ways, while meta has gotten stronger. Basically play good ships and you'll have fun. Play bad ships and you'll cry. WG is constantly trying to get you to spend money, and while I'll buy what I think is worth it, there's a lot of garbage battle passes, camos, events, etc... in the game. It's not totally blown yet, but I'd say it's far from the Free to Play arena ship warfare it used to be.

Random battles are crap, you get double up tiered all the time and once you’re top tier it’s a snipping fest. Ranked is pretty good and fairly well balanced. Operations are fun but limited to tier 6-8. Rotating event battles have been pretty good so far and seem to favour brawling style play. Last couple we had were Airship escort, Piñata and now Asymmetric.

Only go to dockyard when I see something highlighted there. Never added dubs and also never reached end, don't care. Just stick a piece of tape on screen, over Iowa that says Wisconsin, good enough.

To be clear, this is a jerk move from WG; but if you don't scroll through the rewards, you have nobody to blame but yourself. If I could get a full refund, I'd happily buy the premium pass. Why can't they at least offer steel if not the dubs?
