37.5% hit rate in mine. With my shooting that is on the higher end. Shorter the range the better, but she’ll speed is advantageous out to 16km. 17km+ is frustrating but not untenable for a broadside shot.

​@@xPureNRG007xI'd say angled right Nelson can burn Lenin down (he only gets 5 DCPs and Nelson gets superheals). Nelsons guns are also more accurate. This matchup is going to vary depending on distance, islands, luck, etc.

The Lenin is fun, but it has one particular weakness: the worst penetration of all BBs of its tier despite having 406mm guns.

OK, Sealord..... this is the third or fourth video I've watched where you mispronounce Wiesbaden.....I figured someone would have commented on this by now.... but the correct pronunciation is Vees - bahden... baa--(as in sheep) with the accent on the first syllable. It does get old. It is not hard when in every video people tell you exactly how to pronounce something. Definitely a “will” issue vs skill. But I love SLM’s content/effort, and consider his mispronunciation somewhat endearing to his character.

​@@xPureNRG007xhis pronunciation of Coruña bothered me more, since it takes even less effort. The ñ is an "ny" sound and is really not hard to learn. And it's not like the Spanish ships are new + Americans should know some Spanish, it's so widely spoken just south of them. I think it's generally an American trait to not try to learn how to pronounce things and to be proudly ignorant though. He's certainly not the only KZbinr guilty of this.

One of the advantages of being addicted to the game is the OP ships, goodie boxes. Considering it's free to play, I guess that's a fair trade-off. I've still managed to keep my head above water, playing tech line ships for the most part. It can be done.

I have mixed feelings about bb's (and some cruisers) with all the main guns up front. On one hand, you don't have to worry about getting all your guns on target, and you get better times getting them on target. On the other hand, when you're trying to run away from an area, that's all you can do, while with a rear turret you can still do damage.

One positive that is overlooked. When u bow tank. U have 3 turrets that bounce a lot. Turret armor is usually crazy high

@@jackconrad2667 You can't shoot all 3 of them in that position and the barbette of the 2nd turret is easy target and you can be left with only 1 turret stuck nose in and limited by your reverse speed. The only way you would "want" to be in such a position is when you are doing it in a coordinated push in overwhelming force like how he was at the start VS the KGV and the Pensa. Lenin alone is one of the most easy targets to sink. Yes, the ship have a lot of armor from the front but as all USSR ships the HUGE nose that you think the icebreaker is protecting have a very big part of it that is not covered, the turret position that I was talking is an issue, slow speed, abysmal rate of fire, limited DMC's and very, VERY questionable dispersion pasterns and God forbid you were ever caught from the rear... As for the "Turret armor is usually crazy high" GL with that when the enemy BB is spamming high caliber HE at you turret top or he is closer and uses AP to destroy your 2nd turret and disable your 1st or 3rd when you are trying to line up the broadside on a drive by.

because at 15km the dispersion wouldn't be good enough to hit, Soviet dispersion for these ships is 12k or less for best accuracy

I agree, even 1 hit is significant on a DD. Lenin’s horizontal dispersion is pretty good even at 15km pending RNG. The key is the fast shell speed.

This is a fun matchup. I’ve yet to lose to a Tirpitz in my Lenin. Tirpitz bow in you can still get 10k+ damage on turrets and superstructure, and until Tirpitz gets in torpedo range all shells bounce. Side note: the irony is our profile pics are reversed for this conversation lol!

This ship was a lot stronger before wargaming changed the detectability ranges of battleships. Her guns are not long distance and she has no spotter. In the early days she was much more of terror than she is now.

Nah, its average in randoms. Ranked is where it will shine. I have it, but usually play Borodino rather than Lenin. Now THAT is a ship for randoms. Same gun caliber, dead accurate guns (deadeye level accurate at times), 12 km radar, flat ballistics. Stalingrad at tier 8 never looked better. Does WAY better when uptiered (which you will be most of the time), which is where Lenin will struggle and be outranged a lot.

This game has huge issues with it, no one should really play it until they are fixed. And this is one of them. The elitism really tells new players "do not play here". No ship that can be used against you, should be in the game unless you can also obtain it, and I mean without RNG chests, because that means you cannot get it really, not everyone is a billionaire. So really, the issues that need to be fixed before this game should be played by anyone but especially new players: 1.) Elitism of ships, only those in the club get the best ships and they can be used against you, but you cannot ever get them yourself. 2.) Random matchmaker needs to be skills based and evenly balance divs (seriously, 3 three person divs against 2 twos is idiotic). 3.) Ability to play ALL war types w/o facing subs or CVs, so they can stay in the game but a checkbox when queueing to prevent that. And 4.) Only match with same tier in all game modes, no more up-tiering. They fix these 4 issues and this game would go from almost the worst game in the world, to near the best game in the world. Huge swing possible here, then they'd need to expand servers because there'd be too many players.

Please fix your pronunciation of Wiesbaden. You keep saying veez-buh-DEN. It is actually VEEZ-bah-den. Stress on the first syllable and "ah" sound in the second, not "uh". Ich spreche Deutsch. It just hurts my ears every time you say it.
